This hotel is in a great location for us, being so near to Piccadilly train station. The bedroom had air conditioning, which was most welcome in this current heatwave. The hotel also provided us with a fan on request, for an extra blast of cooling when required. The bed was really comfortable, with lovely linen and a choice of firm & soft pillows. The toiletries were so nice I even purchased some to take home with me. Breakfast was good value for money with lots to choose from, I would definitely recommend. The staff at reception were super helpful and always jolly, which is not always the case these days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to return again in the future.
The flush system on the toilet was intermittently faulty and the shower leaked a little bit onto the bathroom floor, but this didn’t spoil our experience.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Yannis for his exceptional professionalism and unwavering support during my recent stay at the hotel. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out and made a significant difference in my experience. Mr. Yannis exemplifies the highest standards of hospitality and is a true asset to any organization that values customer care. I wish him continued success in his career, and I firmly believe he is the right person for any company that prioritizes service excellence. As a loyal IHG member, I hope to encounter more individuals like Mr. Yannis across IHG properties worldwide.

All the staff were very helpful, Robert needs a special mention for engaging with the guests and ensuring they had the best stay possible by great customer service and giving suggestions, directions etc. The food is high quality at a reasonable price, initially we were going to look for somewhere locally to go for dinner and breakfast but so glad we didn't as couldn't have bettered what we had at the Holiday Inn, would recommend the curry. place airy, clean, spacious bedroom, very comfy bed and pillows.
just minor things -More tea bags with the tea and coffee, toilet roll holder kept falling off. put the bath towels out as one set was in a cupboard which we wouldn't have known without going to reception to ask, maybe put them on the bed?

The room and bathroom were exceptional, very clean and comfortable, unlike other hotels that we have stayed in at the same price. All staff were very courteous and friendly and even assisted in charging my mobile phone when I had forgotten my own charger! Breakfast was delicious and fresh. This was my first stay with your hotel and we will definitely be back again. The stay was for a concert that we were attending and would have normally stayed a little closer to the venue, however, if we were to come back to Manchester, this is the hotel that we would choose again.
Wish we could have stayed another night!

We booked on booking.com at a great price with breakfast included. I mentioned it was my husbands birthday and when we arrived the lovely guy on reception confirmed very discreetly to me the room had been upgraded. He was also very warm, friendly and gave us clear directions on how to get to Co-op live. In the morning we were very pleasantly surprised with the lovely breakfast. As it had been included we weren't expecting much and we couldn't have been more wrong! It was brilliant. Great location, Great staff, Lovely room and a top breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel has a really nice feel to it as soon as you walk through the door. We stayed in twin room No. 150 which was a decent size for two people and quiet. Lovely bathroom. The free toiletries consisted of liquid hand soap, shower gel and shampoo. The location of the hotel is really excellent, just a few steps to Piccadilly train station, shops, cafés and restaurants so you really don’t need a car. The buffet breakfast served hot and cold food and there’s lots of seating area for everyone.
Not so important but the TV in the room took ages to switch on and off (not sure why !)

Check-in I was welcomed by Kelsey and Ioannis and checked in by Kelsey. Their warm personalities made check-in feel like I was returning home from a work trip. The check-in was well informative and delivered professionally. Room and Facilities The room was nice and clean. I didn't get an opportunity to utilise all of the facilities on offer but was impressed with the gym set-up. Everything else.. Breakfast was great kudos to the chefs who dont usually get a shout out, but I've got to be honest, it was the morning staff working that morning that stole the show. Oliver on the front desk was lovely and built up a great rapport with me, as did Keyley and Ioannis (Ioannis pulled a Late Early shift, this was actually surprisingly nice because I had a familiar face to wake up to) Aayrushe, who welcomed everyone on Saturday morning (8th Feb) with a smile at breakfast (I'm sorry if I've spelt it wrong) but honestly all of the staff made this stay feel like I was at home and I want everyone on that shift to know that each and everyone one of them had a positive impact and to keep on, keeping on. Check out was easy. Short and sweet. I'm glad I chose Holiday Inn City Centre for my stay in Manchester. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who doesn't want to travel too far from the Piccadilly Train station. This hotel is perfect.
I don't usually get an opportunity to give my opinion on what went wrong.. I think the only improvement that could be made would be, at check out, find out what time folks might be attending breakfast, I saw how long the line gets. The staff handled it fantastically, I might add. But only to avoid anyone moaning about waiting in line for breakfast.

Evedrything except we had breakfast at approx 9 am and the bacon and sausages were hard due to being on the hotplate that long.
We ate from the evening Menu and found the selection very poor i.e a ribeye steak with salad £38 and you had to pay extra for sides. i had risotto and it was not very nice. i was still hungry as the portions were not great, so we decided to share a cheese board to which we stated we were sharing and they brought us two side plates and 6 big slices of cheese and 6 little crackers (far out of proportion)
