The room was very nice and clean and was perfect for a long weekend in Manchester. The location was within walking distance to downtown and some nearby restaurants. We did not sign up for breakfast since we like to try different restaurants when traveling.

We showed up less than an hour before check in time after traveling all the way from Washington State. The room was available but the staff wanted to charge us an extra fee for checking in early. After some discussion they agreed to let us into the room. I have never had an experience like that at a Holiday Inn in the US and did not feel it reflected well on the brand name. Other than that, the stay was perfect.

Excellent location for Etihad. The shower was great, love the fact that hot drinks available throughout in the dining hall. Great food and drink choices at breakfast. Very attentive, polite, hard working and professional staff who handled the introduction of a new system exceptionally well. Red wine lovely but would have loved Rosé to be available by the glass too rather than just the bottle. The bar and dining area is so relaxed and light, real homely feeling with a selection of books, vinyls and record player and TV. A welcoming and quirky hotel with little touches that make it different and a pleasure to stay in.

Only had one single duvet for a double bed, there was no extra in the room. It was far too late when we realised this and had already had showers and ready for bed - something we shouldn’t have had to query. Extra pillows would have been welcomed too but again we didn’t ask about this as too late.

Everything was perfect from the minute we walked in, the lovely young girl behind reception (sorry can't remember her name) was so helpful and polite, the rooms were amazing so spacious and clean, the bathroom/wet room was very spacious, the bed was so comfortable and I love the idea of having 2 single quilts it was brilliant! We had an evening meal, food was delicious and very quick, breakfast was good too. Only 1 thing was no kettles in room but having tea and a coffee machine in the restaurant which you could help yourself to was really good! Exceptional for the price! So impressed! Would definitely stay again!!

- Nicely designed and decorated hotel, with a spacious seating area downstairs. - Friendly staff on reception. - Good choice at breakfast which was served until 10:30. Both hot and cold breakfast options on offer, and a good selection of pastries. - The room (303) was a good size, with a good sized shower. Bed was comfortable, and the 2 single quilts meant there was plenty of cover for me and my partner. - Opposite the Irish Heritage Centre which was a pleasant surprise for my Irish partner.

- There was a strange smell in the bathroom of room 303. This was reported as we were checking out. Though clean the bathroom smelt fusty. - Had to be careful where the shower head was pointed, as the shower door isn't fully sealed at the corners and allowed water to leak out onto the bathroom floor.

The room itself was ideal for my needs, probably better than the normal PI standard and close to location for my work. Great Turkish restaurant nearish that was recommended as didn't fancy the usual Hotel menu that night although the bar was tested on arrival and was fine. Bed really comfy but couldn't comment on dual duvets in a double as I was on a solo visit although I think it realistically could work. Loved the bluetooth sounbar below tv to play tunes instead of TV. Lighting great, heated towel rail (Hooragh) air con quiet and not required on all night even though it was 0c outside.

Would have liked some mineral water in room rather than the tap and paper cup. The lack of brewing facilities didn't bother me. Like most Hotels breakfast a little too late for early work start so McD's unfortunately had a visit. Shower temp mixer was extremely tight. These are little niggles that wouldn't put me off booking again providing the price remains in check with the previous Hotel chain mentioned above. Forgot, small round table in room not quite large enough or square to comfortably work a laptop and mouse.

The hotel appears to be new or recently refurbished with every area clean and comfortable. The property has plenty of parking. There is a charge of £10 per night but if you sign up for an IHG account you get it for free. The rooms are modern and very clean with the room getting cleaned each day if required. There is a double shower which has a multipurpose body wash inside. The lounge area is fantastic with a range of different seating and flat screen tv’s. There is a bar with a good selection of drinks. Food can also be ordered. There is a pool table which helps others interact. Staff are happy for you to order takeaway to the property and will provide cutlery etc. The staff are absolutely fantastic and could not be more helpful. They really help make my stay great, nothing is too much trouble. On Newyears eve staff allowed friends who were staying at another hotel to come inside to the bar area and have drinks with us until 2am. I was also allowed to bring my own drinks downstairs.

There is no iron or ironing board in the room but if you ask this will be provided at the reception. There are no plug sockets close enough to the mirror for drying hair or straightening it.However,a hairdryer is provided in the bathroom. The mirrors are slightly tinted which is difficult for doing makeup. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. However, tea and coffee is available 24hours in the lounge. There are a wide range of teas, coffee and syrups available. There are cups and mugs and takeaway cups too. It is a little bit annoying in the morning to get dressed and go downstairs. Breakfast is an additional charge of £15 per person. I find this quite expensive and chose not to pay. A Mcdonalds is not far from the hotel if you like this type of breakfast.

Stayed here a few times. Favourite in Manchester. Secure parking. Really great reception team. Nice simple rooms. Doubles on 3rd floor very good. Views of ever upwards skyline of Manchester. Great breakfast spread. Keeps improving. Free tea and coffee all day. Great relaxing space with bar combines with breakfast area. Opposite Irish centre too. Has bar. Visited central Manchester. Salford and RHS Gardens. The Sparrow restaurant is only 5 minutes drive away too.

Ok, you have to pay to park per day. If you book direct it seems to be free?

It was beside the venue we were going to for a family surprise birthday celebration.

There were no electric sockets beside the mirror to plug in for curling tongs or hair straighteners. The single beds were very narrow, one of my cousins fell out whilst asleep. The full length mirror is near the door, the lightening is poor in that corner so you have to stand in the bathroom to see your full outfit, it would be better placed at the window side of the room. The toilet is too flush against the wall as there were relatives who found it difficult as little arm room. Otherwise it's a lovely hotel with great staff who were very accommodating and courteous.

I liked how it was close by to the trams so we didn’t need to travel too far to get on transport. There was a nice lounge to relax in. Staff are very lovely and friendly, paid attention to what we needed and were willing to help with anything we needed. Made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Always smiling :)

How small the rooms are, the rooms are very small and not spacious for the price we are paying for. Sockets were both different on each side of the bed. No space for two people to lay out clothes had to keep most items in our luggage. Food at the hotel wasn’t as good as expected and expensive for what we had gotten. Had to pay to play snooker in the lounge. The coffee machines aren’t that modern.

We loved this hotel. We come to manchester about 4 times a year if not more. We would deffonetly recommend this hotel. Our new go-to hotel in manchester. It's really close to the metro. 1 stop, and you are in the middle of manchester. The hotel is really cool decorating. We had room 201. It's just perfect 👌. The bar is reasonably priced. We never had breakfast thare as we always go to wetherspoons, lol. I think it was £12 for breakfast ( a bit pricey, we thought), but as I say, we like wetherspoons for breakfast. Goid value for us. We would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to all at Nui. We will see you soon x
