Rooms were big, furniture looked nice and location was great in the heart of everything. Had extras like fan, iron and ironing board. Friendly, helpful staff on reception.
100 pound damage deposit. Lots of little stains and scuffs on carpets and walls doors and furniture, felt we had to note them all at the start of our holiday to ensure we didn’t get blamed for them and lose our deposit. The stains didn’t change the fact the rooms were still nice and clean in general.

Pretty much everything. Location was great, apartment was a very good size and the facilities were everything we needed for a short stay. Staff were also very helpful.
The sofa looked a little tired and dirty. Probably better off using leather style like the armchairs so it's easier to keep clean. Although we managed to get a space, parking can be a bit of a lottery

Very spacious and comfortable accommodation. A great base to have to explore Newcastle and surrounding area. We used the car park at the main hotel on the first day, but as we were out all of the next day ended up parking on a nearby side street on the second. Despite being really central, driving in and out of the centre took only a matter of a few minutes, Beamish was only 20 minutes away, MetroCentre was 10 minutes and Northumberland Zoo was 30 minutes. We walked down to the Quayside for dinner and visited the Life Science centre as well which was a short walk away from the apartment.
Because it is so central, it was a little noisy with the passing nightlife.

I had booked the Presidential Suite for myself and my 15 year old daughter for two nights, it was massive and am really glad I booked it. Room description says its a double bed, well it's the biggest double bed I've slept in, could have slept 3 or 4 of us 😅 Took a bit of navigation to find it in the beginning but once you did it was fine. Bathroom was huge, and had one of the biggest baths I've seen, daughter had a bath and said it was amazing. Big shower too with plenty power. We had breakfast both mornings, second morning food was better than the first for some reason, but still nice. But happy hazard with teas and coffee, I was almost finished my breakfast before nit arrived and had to ask for it again. Had drinks in the bar, but they had ran out of pinot grigio and weren't getting any until after I left. How can you run out if wine in a hotel as large as thus one. But I managed to find something I liked. Location was amazing, right next to central train station and walkable to a lot of sights. Would I stay here again, yes I would.
In the shower there was no where to put shampoos etc which was a bit of a pain. As polite as the bar staff were you kind of got the feeling they didn't want to be there, no smiles and were just doing their job. Reception was the same too. I know the hotel was busy with a lot of graduation parties, no-one was rude but a lack of smiles or warm welcomes.

I’m not sure if it’s because we had just spent a week in tiny rooms around London, but this place felt like a palace. We were in the 2 bedroom apartment at the Aparthotel property and it was super spacious, had very comfortable beds, really nice bathrooms with bathtubs, a good kitchen set up, and strong air conditioning! Everything was clean even though some things looked a bit worn or old. It was very convenient to the train station and had an elevator, which made hauling luggage around much easier, too.
The second bedroom didn’t have a door, but with the way the room was laid out, it didn’t really matter

We booked for a family of three - 2 adults and a 16 year old for 2 nights. The room we booked was tiny and dated, no aircon and the beds were far too small. For the second night, we asked to be moved and Paul went above and beyond to help us - he managed to upgrade us to a much bigger room with decent sized beds and much needed aircon! He was absolutely brilliant - there were quite a few bookings for the second night - the hotel was full and buzzing! The staff in this hotel are just brilliant - we had drinks in the bar on our first night and the Barman who served us was so chatty and helpful - we were visiting NCL university- he gave us advice on the city and student bank accounts - shame we didn’t get his name, he was a delight to chat with. Great location! I would advise to go with the bigger rooms - they are more modern and much more comfortable! Great place to stay!
Some of the rooms need updating.

**Stayed in the Penthouse of the County Aparthotel** The location is fantastic, nearby parking at Newcastle Station was easy. The apartment was immaculately clean and bed was comfortable. Easy check in process. Large apartment size
Only window blind was in the en suite bathroom- all windows have a light curtain to them, but light entering the bedroom early in the morning meant no lie ins. No cleaning products in the apartment - would have been nice to have fairy liquid/dishwasher tablets to be able to clean dishes. Images of the penthouse show a projector with screen, however no projector in the apartment. TV in living area was in an awkward place if watching from the couch. In the images of the penthouse, there is an outdoor area visible with chairs, however the balcony doors are locked and area isn't accessible. Would be useful to have this stated in the room description.

From the moment we walked through the door every thing was perfect. Lynn and Paul on reception were absolutely spot on, and are a real credit to the hotel. We arrived early but were made to feel welcome from the start. Luckily our room was ready as we were given an upgrade to a Junior suit. Our daughter had rang ahead for some prosecco in the room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was good, freshly made and tasty with a good selection available. We ate in the restaurant both nights. Again a varied menu with plenty of choice. Situated right opposite the train station, a perfect location for visiting the city. We will definately stay again if staying in the area.

Within yards of Newcastle railway station.Beautifully decorated keeping the old world charm whilst having all the modern facilities.Room was spotless, bed very comfortable and bathroom spotless.Tea/coffee making facilities.Breakfast was included and was the usual cooked/continental but a great choice and the restaurant again was spotless and decorated with old world charm and elegance.
Personally speaking as my husband has arthritis it was difficult for him to climb into the shower as it was over the However there may be rooms with walk in shower we did not ask when booking so no fault of the hotel.

location
everytime trying to enter my room, i had to reactive the key card, even i had booked for three nights. and it took ages that the stuff was able to reactivate doing almost like a full check in process again. and the check-in itself also took ages, even booked via booking and all already prepaid. never again @management of the hotel. get your system working. and if things sometimes don't - can happen - train your stuff to accompany accordingly in front of your guests and provide i.e. vouchers on minibar or similar to excuse for time waste etc.
