The hotel was easily accessible from the M1 (although the road layout is a little tricky) The reception and bar area very welcoming and the room…. Absolutely fantastic! Massive bed, everything we could need for our brief stay. The staff were just lovely and really helpful. Good selection of buffet items for breakfast (included in the price) and lovely choice of food available for dinner menu, should you feel like a bit of something later on. An overall lovely, welcoming place to stay. Will definitely be back again on our next jaunt to Milton Keynes!

Stayed here multiple times before as a pit stop on the way to Southampton for a cruise! We love the location just off the motorway. Harvester restaurant just over the car park. My son loves to burn off his steam running down the paths in the industrial estate, lovely and quiet for him to do so too. Rooms have plenty of space. Dove products which is amazing!! Price was exceptional for me and my family. Breakfast is great too. The staff are always super accommodating for our children. Provide milk for toddlers bedtime bottle and have microwave facilities if needed also. Rooms are always lovely and clean, beds are comfy.
No complaints.

I have decided that Holiday Inn Express is probably the best value amongst its peers (no, they are not paying me!) so when we visited Northampton, this was the obvious choice. Breakfast was included in the very reasonable price - always a good sign - and it was very good. The room was very comfortable and modern, and my wife loved the three-direction mirrors in the bathroom (which was very cleverly designed).
The only strange thing about the location (very close to the M1 junction) was that, unless we missed a turning, we had to drive towards the city and then back towards the motorway to get to the car park. Perhaps it was just us, but that was a minor inconvenience to a very comfortable stay.

Room and shower facilities were very good, breakfast was a normal cooked one, no better than normal hotel anywhere Staff from the manager Claude downwards were efficient and friendly and very helpful
When i went online to book a hotel I asked for dog friendly hotels via Booking.com Hotels were listed and I chose the Holiday Inn Express, Northampton south. Its wasn't until I booked that I received an email stating there was a thirty pound charge per dog for my stay. I believe that this information should have been listed at the beginning of my booking experience and not after. I think this is something that Booking.com should rectify as this mad my choice of hotel more expensive than what I originally thought. Some websites flag this cost up at the beginning and I think this is a fair comment. I do think hotels could levy a charge on booking in case of damage caused and if no damage then the charge could be returned.

Comfortable and spacious room and nice and quiet - even though we were on the ground floor near the entrance! Great staff - we needed a bit of 'extra' help during the night and at breakfast, and the staff were very helpful and responsive. Good breakfast.
Getting to the hotel, even though it is just off the M1, was a challenge due to the way the road/roundabout system works - though this is not the hotel's fault! Breakfast finishing at 09:30 isn't always that great if you are travelling for leisure and want to have a late start.

A brilliant stay from start to finish. Everything was excellent from booking in to leaving the next day. On arrival the receptionist took into account that I have recent mobility issues and found me a room near the lift and also upgraded it to a king-size bed. The bed was comfy, and the self serve breakfast was excellent. All the staff was very helpful and friendly especially the receptionist, Will, who was on the desk when we arrived.
This is a dog friendly hotel which is useful to know but I wouldn't be happy paying £30 a night.

Location is very convenient, though the local road layout and signage very confusing - a satnav is essential! A great welcome. Good facilities and staff. Plenty of free parking. We like stopping at this place.
We were allocated room 104 at the rear of the hotel - a lovely spacious room with an enormous bed. However there was constant buzzing overnight from electrical apparatus in the yard outside, and loud clattering from trolleys outside at 7am, as the linen was being transferred. Not a good room if you want a peaceful night's sleep or a leisurely start!

Friendly, helpful staff. Family room. Wonderful breakfast. Location. Access to fridge and microwave at reception. Restaurant options and supermarkets nearby. Info and advice about local attractions.
Room was quite cramped and small, with very limited storage. Bedside tables had no drawer for medication and small items Family room didn't have drink options and cups etc for the 2 children, only coffee and tea. No fridge. This would have been particularly useful for families and this was a family room. Double bed and sofa bed were on the smaller side. Sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. Would have preferred 1 larger double bed and to twin beds.

After getting stuck on the M1 for an hour on a Friday night we abandoned our journey for the sunlit uplands of Northampton. Everything was fine with check in and room. While scouring reviews to see what breakfast consisted of we came across the hotel’s gem - Louise - who spends evenings finding the positive in everyone’s reviews. Her glass is not just half full, it’s positively brimming over. In the face of some very negative comments the ever positive Louise just brushes them aside as she looks forward to welcoming back the most grumpy traveller. We all need to be “a bit more Louise”. Oh, and the answer to the breakfast question is that it’s everything - cereals, pastries, cooked English, fruit and yoghurt, ham and cheese, so you won’t go hungry.🤤
No plugs by the side of the bed for charging phones.

Quiet in rooms, good breakfast selection, help yourself so plenty of choice. A little expensive for drinks and service was sometimes slow with staff doing reception as well as bar. Bed was comfy but would have been better if King size as opposed to double. Bathroom and shower we're very good.
Choice of evening meal food restrictive, quite expensive. Harvester over the other side very expensive for food and nothing within walking distance of hotel, had to drive out for food in the evenings.
