The hotel had a wonderful vibe and relaxed atmosphere... The rooms were wonderful, clean, warm and had everything needed for a lovely stay.. Loved it...

The one downside was that we wanted to stay at the hotel in the evening for an evening meal and a drink and enjoy the hotel vibe, however, they only have a bar area for food and the restaurant is only open for breakfast??? What a massive shame and it can't just be us who do not want to eat in a bar area and forces people to go out to eat. Open the restaurant please, it is such a wonderful place, and this let's it down, not everyone wants to eat in a bar with the big screen on in the background.

The room was lovely, big & clean. The bed was very comfortable. The reception staff were fantastic. The ground are lovely and they have ducks!!!

The glass lift could do with a clean. As you can see everything, the whole life shaft needs a good clean as it looks very dirty. The lift itself was great, simply what you could see going up. The guy on the bar of a night was so rude and abrasive. I was very disappointed by his behaviour. We brought some food in from a nearby food shop as the bar only did sandwiches. He made a very rude passive aggressive comment toward myself. If he would have just mentioned you can’t bring food into the bar area politely, I would have been more than happy to move up to my room. He however questioned whether I thought it was acceptable, and made comments about my group. The sandwiches were an extortionately priced also. Nearly £20 for 3 cups of tea also.

The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant were lovely. Well decorated and welcoming. The front desk staff were friendly. The warm cookie upon check-in was a great touch. (I wonder if there are alternatives for guests with specific dietary requirements). My bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved being able to adjust the room temperature as I tend to run cold. The TV had lots of channels and was quite large... (Though not a problem, I did wonder if it was a little too big.) The bathroom was absolutely stunning! And the shower was just fabulous! Cannot fault the bathroom in any way. I loved all the lighting options in the room. They helped to make it cosy. The room was mostly clean... Breakfast was lovely. If I had a bigger appetite in the morning, I would have had seconds. The host and wait staff were all friendly and welcoming.

The room was quite outdated and could really do with modernising so that it is in keeping with the bathroom. The chair to the side of the bed looked very dusty and I didn't dare to sit on it. Also, the chair at the desk looked as though it was on it's last legs... One of the handles on the drawers was missing?! And so was the battery cover on the back of the remote?! Why hasn't this been fixed? It feels as though the hotel doesn't maintain its room/s. A few changes and the room would feel fresher, more welcoming and modern. The colour scheme...browns and reds is 🫤

Very nice and well appointed room. Close to the tram. Modern airy communal space. Well soundproofed rooms. Helpful housekeeping staff and reception.

The breakfast was OK, but not as good as I've had elsewhere on stays in Nottingham. Toaster machine was laughable, bearley toasted or put through again and black. The location is nothing special beyond the grounds, but you are a short walk from to the tram to go somewhere else (20mins to City). Only low level lighting in the room (plenty of it too), not good for packing when its dark! Small points and nothing that would prevent me going back.

On arrival the staff where friendly and explained everything. The room was spotless, very clean. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were so soft you felt like you just melted into them. The food was really nice, all the counters were clean and filled at all times. Plates were warm. Staff were always there to help you with your dietary needs. One young server, wished everyone a Merry Christmas, nothing was too much trouble for him. All the staff were polite and helpful. The cookie was amazing, you receive this when you receive your fob. I took my dog and the staff brought a bowl for her also a dog bed. I could not fault this hotel at all. Every year I go back to this hotel we will not have any other.

I can honest say there was nothing we did not like, everything was of high standard you could not fault nothing.

I stayed at this hotel for my wedding anniversary, and it was such a lovely experience! The staff went above and beyond by not only leaving the note I requested but also a small box of chocolates, which was such a thoughtful touch. Walking into the room and seeing that made my day. The hotel itself was stunning—immaculately clean, warm, and welcoming. Everything about it made the occasion feel extra special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to celebrate a special moment!

The hair dryer the power button had to be held the whole time. But I think this was just a one off.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham - Gateway. The location is excellent, and the hotel is impeccably clean and tidy. The evening reception staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making our arrival smooth and pleasant. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and spotless, ensuring a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety of options, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. My children were especially happy, which made the experience even more enjoyable for us as a family. We look forward to returning in the future!

Our stay was enjoyable, but the room TV had very limited channels and wasn’t fully smart. Adding YouTube, Netflix, and similar apps would enhance the experience.

The pictures online did not do the room any justice. We were pleasantly surprised to see the room in person. I was worried about the red wallpaper, but it wasn't as in your face as it was in the photos online. We asked for a room for 3 we got a sofa bed- it wasn't the most comfortable but housekeeping gave us extra bed covers to compensate. the mini fridge was ok... the rest of the room was wonderful day. the bed was comfortable the shower was excellent and the foyer with the chandeliers were fabulous. beautiful breakfast dining area with friendly and helpful staff and i loved the gym facilities.

Gateway is often my "go-to" when I stay in Nottm because it is clean and reliable, I know what to expect and am never disappointed. I occasionally get tempted by offers from other hotels but then get reminded how good the Gateway is. The rooms (standard to upgrades) are good, the public areas clean and the car park has a fair amount of spaces

This stay was over two nights, although the meal on the first night was very good, the restaurant menu choices didn't tempt me to dine in the second evening (I don't feel that I am picky when it comes to food) and although the bottled water was used up first day they weren't replaced when housekeeping cleaned the room for the second night

Bedroom and check in was great. Had a great sleep. Breakfast was good

Was at a wedding at the hotel. Lights where the toilets were not on and i had to request that the lights were turned on. A number of elderly people in attendance who are unsteady, so for a health & safety aspect, it was essential that the lights were on to prevent an incident from occurring. Short measures on spirits had the same drink, which differed each time. When I ordered a double whisky at bar, it was short, and I told the bar lady who told me it wasn't, but when she put it into the measure, she had to top it up. This is poor. Staff started packing up the event before people left the event, almost as if to say you need to leave. Was told the bar in the hotel was closed and other members of the wedding party had to request it opens for residents.
