Everything from warm, friendly and helpful arrival to the standard of our room and explanation of the hotel facilities. All staff always smiling and happy. Very clean everywhere. Qute roon 18 on ground floor overlooking lovely wel kept large garden with good outside seating (weather permitting) Location very easy 10 to 20 minutes walking distance from central Pickering and NYMR which was the purpose of our visit and stay. Bus stop with good service on Coastliner bus service to York almost right outside and for a standard fair of just £2. We did not use a car for this journey but if we had done then this hotel has an excellent large well maintained car park adjoining at no extra cost. Good cooked breakfast. We were surprised at the high standards all round and very happy with all aspects of our stay.

Nothing not to like really. Would have preferred the continental breakfast to be more continental with some bread rolls, and a selection of sliced meats and cheeses etc but what there was on offer was good but did not quite hit the mark for what we regard as full continental.

We were there for the Dalby Forest concerts and there was a coach service 2 mins walk away to whisk us to the venue. Great spot to venture into Scarborough the following day as well. All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast choice, quality and speed of service was fantastic. Beautiful landscaped gardens, with a majestic tree taking centre stage, and a little secret passage to yet another beautiful lawned area. Flowers were just starting to bloom so give it a couple of weeks and it will look even better. We paid a bit more to get a better room and was not disappointed - unfortunately we weren't there long enough to take advantage of it - maybe next time....

Nothing to dislike really. My only observation would be is that if you're looking for ultra modern hotel, this is not the place. If you're looking for a "stately home" feel, befitting of the surroundings, then you won't be disappointed.

The location was great, and the room was terrific, Dinner was very tasty and the breakfast was splendid - really setting us up for the day. The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful.. It's a very nice restful hotel with a lot of charm, lovely gardens, and tea and toasted teacakes on a garden table under the parasol on a warm day is a very agreeable way to spend the time.

There is nothing I can think of - it was a really pleasant stay.

The breakfast was lovely with a good choice , it was well presented freshly cooked to order, hot with a mix of both continental and tradition breakfast, the Staff were warm welcoming and friendly , The room was quite, the bath /power shower were superb, with a lot of little extra touches, I have seldom slept so well and have no hestitation in recommending the hotel and location, do visit the local church its a real treasure

To find fault would be very picky to a team who obviously take a pride in their work, and I will not

The size of the bath was brilliant, great for a relaxing bath together. It was very, very clean, and we were given plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits, towels, everything. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The bed was really comfortable, and the sofa was great for a quiet reading session, while my partner had to work a couple of hours in the morning. The breakfast was almost perfect! The garden was absolutely stunning too, we were sceptical about the location on the main road, but the room was facing the garden so it was very peaceful.

The room was very stuffy but you do get given a fan, and I am really sorry, but we did have it on all the time and opened the window quite high to get some cool air into the room. The breakfast was almost perfect. It was just the bacon was a little too cooked, so it was very salty. Apart from that, these are our only complaints and if we ever decide to visit the area again, we will definitely stay here!

We did not have breakfast but did dine in twice at the hotel. On both occasions we were pleased with the range of choices on the menu and very pleased with the food we were served. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was quiet. Overall we were delighted with the hotel and would stay again.

We stayed in a ground floor room with views of the immaculate garden. The room was very clean and warm and had all the facilities we required. We stayed for Dinner and Breakfast and both meals were delicious with a good choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was outstanding. We will definitely stay again.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Choose of Breakfast was very good, provided by cheerful and very helpful staff. Also we had help with our luggage as the Hotel as no lift and we were on the first floor up two flights of stairs

It would have been nice as we were in an Executive room to have bathrobes and slippers.

Yes breakfast was traditonal, and everything was to our liking especially the gardens. I am fairly flexible with breakfast, as i like eggs but as long as we enjoy what we have, the service was excellent, which was good, and shall definitely be back hopefully soon!
