Great location, just 10 mins walk from train station and same to main shops and beach/seafront. Lovely looking building. Clean, comfy room. Breakfast was really good and very filling, good choices. Also had mid afternoon sandwiches and cake which was good value. Staff very friendly and attentive to needs. This was our 5th time here and will be back again.

Dont normally have anything to put in here, but our room this time was to the back of the building and on 2 mornings were woken up early due to bin men and brewery bottle bins being emptied wihich sounded lke it was just under our window.

Central position wonderful for town - beach and surrounding points of interest- rooms on floor 4 were small and became very warm and avoid opening windows on barmy nights as the seagulls screaming were a problem. Great breakfast with open cold buffet and varied cooked menu. Wonderful parking facilities for residents at secure close compound ( major bonus in town where parking a major problem ) Restaurant was both expensive and underwhelming in food served. Staff pleasant always. Had an air of relaxing charm

The double room size on floor 4 were a squeeze- did we really need an ironing board - the bath mat could definitely do with replacing. Having to find alternative restaurants for evening meals as £80 for 2mains + 1 desert and wine was just about acceptable if the meals were of better standard

Receptionist very friendly, check in was quick and uneventful. Had a single room, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Kettle with tea/coffee etc. Bathroom with bath/shower and complimentary toiletries. The single bed was really comfortable. No air conditioning, but a fan was provided. Breakfast was good. Help yourself to fruit juice and cereals etc. There was a menu for the hot meal with a choice to make your own meal. This was cooked to order and was served by a waitress. The bar area was well stocked but were hotel prices as expected. All the staff were helpful and friendly. There is also a lift available if you were unable to negotiate the stairs. Outside seating available if the weather permitted .

Great location and building with character. Good size room - expected a twin room but we had a double and two single beds to choose from! Covered car parking included. Good range of breakfast choices and tasty bacon and sausages.

There was a heatwave so a hot room and noisy gulls don’t make for a good night’s sleep. Couldn’t open one window and both were very stiff. If you leave a bottle of water in room it would be good to know whether it was complimentary so we made do with tap water which was fine. Discovered the fan in the wardrobe after our one night stay - didn’t need to hang anything up. We had parked the car before the room was ready without being advised to check in and book a breakfast slot so we only had a choice of very early or the 09.15 we chose. However there was little of interest left in the fruit salad bowl and the cooked breakfast to order contained scrambled egg and mushrooms that had obviously been precooked and sitting for a considerable time which was disappointing.

The staff members were all fabulous - helpful, friendly, polite. The room was spacious and tidy. Breakfast was really lovely and staff accommodated our requests accurately and speedily. The hotel ambience was calm and welcoming. The decor was contemporary and attractive. We enjoyed sitting on the hotel patio with cocktails at the end of a busy day in Scarborough.

The en-suite was ok but the shower screen was very annoying. The main problem for us was the temperature of the bedroom. For 3 nights we roasted and sweated making sleep very difficult. The fan provided was not good enough. As we were on the 4th floor the windows only opened a few inches, so our room never cooled down. It was really uncomfortable and was the only real negative in an otherwise lovely stay. By our 3rd night we were dreading bedtime. Unfortunately, I cant stress strongly enough how hot our room was.

If you like Scarborough, then, you cannot fail to like this Hotel. From arriving to leaving the staff were excellent, extremely friendly, yet very professional. Well done and Thank you. The Hotel is ideally located for most of what Scarbourgh has to offer. Close to the tramway to the beach, close to the main shopping area and close to the railway station. The Hotel offers excellent covered parking( a bonus in Scarbourgh). We experienced some of the finest Hotel food in the restaurant, again Thank you. The breakfasts were, again excellent with a vast choice and properly served at your table. A quality that is very rare these days. Our bedroom was good and spacious. All in all I would highly recommend this Hotel

The walk to the carpark.

The free car parking was an absolute deal clincher. Breakfast was, on the whole, good but the croissants and pastries could have been fresher and presented better. The building and rooms could do with a freshen up but there is a sense that a real effort is being made to work with it. Some may find it outdated but the place showed character.

The check out time of 10:30 struck us as slightly early. 11:00 would have been better and there appeared to be no flexibility on this issue. The bedside power points would benefit from having USB outlets.

What did I like? Absolutely everything, the location , the room, the food , the whole few days was absolutely wonderful . I can honestly say in all my years visiting Scarborough this was the best home from home hotel we have ever stayed, (a great recommendation from a work colleague. )Ps nice to serve decaf coffee satchets and biscuits in the tea/coff room facilities, lovely pillows, comfy bed , pleasant staff, superb well done everyone

If I have to be picky and really picky it would be the fact that there was a crack above our bed in the ceiling on my husbands side of the bed, didnt bother me but it did him abit

The location was near shops, theatre and the beach. The covered parking area was really good and you could park there from 12 noon on the day of arrival. The hospitality tray was good with plenty of different teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Large cupboard space with plenty of coat hangers. The tv on the wall in the room was a good size. Lovely toiletries, if you had forgotten any. The breakfast was brilliant: plenty of choice, with waitress service. The cooked breakfast was always piping hot. The lounge areas were very pleasant and spacious. Very helpful, efficient and friendly staff. We would definitely visit again.

The flow of water in the bath and shower was very slow. Although the double bed was very large and comfortable, the room was small, with only one chair, so it was a bit cramped with two people in it.

Everything. Staff were delightful, friendly and helpful. Food was good. Hotel was extremely comfortable with large lounge, bar area. Very good location. Had free car park nearby. Bedroom very small, however bed comfortable, especially pillows. We will definitely stay again when visiting Scarborough.

Nothing. However doubt you will put this on website as only complaint is what we paid via Booking.com. Other people staying at the hotel had booked direct with the hotel and had paid much less than us. This is particularly upsetting as we were accompanied by my recently bereaved 80 year old sister who had paid a large amount for her single room.
