super warm and friendly greetings from the hosts, wish we had more time to spend chatting. the bed was really comfy, great clean sheets and the location was excellent for a concert at the Spa and the south bay seafront. the breakfast was on time, great quality food and perfectly cooked. refills were available and extra requests dealt with without question. what a super place to stay, we shall return!

The room was up a few flights of stairs which we were fine with, but if you have mobility issues, check with the hosts for an upgraded room perhaps? Other than that it was perfect for our stay - thank you.

Fantastic breakfast, great selection, one of the best we have had. Rooms were good and spacious. Great location, we've ease of access to the sea front and the shopping areas. Good friendly staff and owners of the property. An uncomplicated 10 minute walk from the train station. Property owners were happy with a bag drop off for early arrivals. Very pleasant stay, would highly recommend. Rooms had wardrobe and shelving space for clothes, bedside tables and coffee/tea making facilities. Plus a mirror with a nearby socket, which the wife appreciated.

stairs were a little steep and narrow, but still doable and really cannot expect much difference from properties of this type, We had an issue with our electrical shower, the water heating would not regulate to a comfortable temperature. It was report, unfortunately I guess it's difficult to have these items repaired or replaced on a Bank Holiday weekend, we managed to get through though.

The location is excellent for proximity from the train station and to the beach. It is also very central within the town near lots of restaurants. The room was very spacious with a large clean bathroom. Breakfast is nice, place your order in advance to have your choice of English breakfast items with toast. There’s also cereal, yogurt and fruit salad available. Everything is freshly prepared as soon as you sit down in the spacious dining room. Served by the friendly hosts. We had a sea view from our room, which given it was a relatively short notice booking and it happened to be during Whitby Goth Festival (very busy there) we were very pleased to get. The fine weather really highlighted the local beach and harbour too, just minutes away by foot.

The room decor is a little dated but it’s well kept.

Blands Cliff is a lovely little place. It is at the top of a steep hill, but there is another path down to the beach, which is littered with shops. Kev & Carys are great hosts, who provide a great breakfast to get the day started. Beds were comfy, and the room was great for a short stay.

We were in room 8 and paid for a room with a partial sea view. This was disappointing, really. There is a big hill to climb from the main road, which some may find an issue. Other than that, it's a great little place.

Everything was spot on for a brilliant weekend away. The room was lovely and spacious with everything we needed, extra toiletries and refreshments available if needed. Breakfast was really good and it was so nice to be able to choose what you wanted by filling in the menu cards. The hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, they were also very knowledgeable so if you need help with anything local you can just ask. As the property is so close to both the sea front (approx 100m) and the town centre its the perfect location for days on the beach and nights out in town. A huge thank you for looking after us and we will see you again soon.

Nothing, we were happy with everything

The hosts were warm and inviting, my partner had a poor knee and they offered to move us to a lower floor to help with the stairs. We caught the train and arrived earlier than the check in time, but this wasn't a problem. The owners took our payment, and offered to hold on to our luggage until the room was ready. The room was made up to our preferences. We were given a breakfast menu with a comprehensive choice of items to suit all dietary requirements (We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast A+). The room was attractive, and comfortable, clean towels and bathing facilities including ironing nearby in the hallway. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, including a HD television with a wide selection of channels. The hosts will even help with meals consumed within the room (outside of breakfast time), and have a designated dining room downstairs if you wish to eat on tables and chairs. Upon checkout, they offered to hold out luggage as we were departing after 4pm, so we didn't have to lug around our backpack during the final hours of our trip when we shopped for souvenirs. If you are going to visit Scarborough, Blands Cliffe B&B is by far, the best place to stay, 100 out of 10! see you soon. Graham & Michael.

Nothing, exceeds all expectations.

Excellent hosts. Great value for money. It felt really personal but with an excellent level of service, unlike a chain hotel or an airbnb. My room was lovely. I loved the decoration, the bed was comfortable and I had a little table I could sit it. They're were facilities in the room to make tea and coffee and everything else you might need. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were very present and happy to help. You're about half way down the hill so convenient for both the town and the beach. Lovely stay, I'd go again.

Great location for a good number of bars and restaurants with good access to the beach front. The place itself is your typical B&B and well looked after by a lovely, friendly couple. The beds were really comfy and the breakfast was bang on. The room was clean and bright. Definitely be going again.

Had a lovely 1 night stay here. The hosts were both lovely and very friendly. We arrived slightly early and our room was ready and we were advised where to park. Very close to the beach, shops, pubs etc, location was great! The room was a great size, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was gorgeous, fresh and lots of choice for both me and my son! Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely amazing stay. The owners were lovely and would do everything they could to make it feel like a home away from home. My little one loved staying here and is already talking about next years visit. She’s still talking about the bowl of blueberries! Breakfast was amazing too. We will definitely be coming back next summer!
