The room was clean and bright and had everything we needed. We booked the studio which had a small kitchen area with a fridge and microwave oven, plus a sink, plates and cutlery. The room was large and had plenty of storage space plus a lovely seating area by the window, and a dressing table on the opposite side of the room. There was a lovely view of the little garden area and you can just see the sea to the left, plus there's privacy film on the windows so it feels private as it's on the ground floor. It's just across the road from a great view of North bay to the left and the castle to the right, therefore it's a great central base for access to both the North and South side of Scarborough. The owner also offers two day parking permits for the area outside for £5.

Everything was great, we were even offered a later checkout time as the owner was quite flexible.

Bed to small .bathroom light wakes other person up .as u need a light to goto loo .shower was a pain to use .and keypad for door was a nightmare .and other guests talking loudly kept us awake .would of been good to have a hob to be able to cook each morning so we didn’t have to use the cafes and eat horrible food .

Rick was a fab host. We had a disaster with our Haven Holiday & needed somewhere to stay & within an hour of booking we were allowed in to sort out our bags etc. Rick was brilliant. Polite & pleasant. We booked the 1 bed apartment which had everything we needed. We werent far from the sights we wanted to visit either so we were able to enjoy our wee break. We will deffo be back!!

Nothing not to like!

Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who explained the entry/exit procedure. The room was spotless when I arrived, with fresh towels also provided. The bathroom area was also clean and fresh - it was clear to see the room had been thoroughly cleaned through in between guests. The bed was comfy, the room was warm overnight too without being too stuffy. Overall, a faultless stay at a hotel which was ideal for my one-night stay. Thank you :)

Nothing. The stairs are a little steep but obviously this cannot be helped - just worth noting for anyone booking a room who may be a little unsteady on their feet.

I booked this for my parents. The communication from the hosts was lovely. My parents thoroughly enjoyed their stay here and the support from the hosts. My Dad has alzhiemers, my Mum was very happy with the room and the bathroom. She said it was very nice for my Dad and he settled there nicely. They particularly enjoyed the location and the pub "The Albert" across the road.

My second visit, all good, would stay again. Fantastic location just around the corner from the spectacular sea views with the castle in the distance. Pleasant walk into the town centre with all the amenities you could wish for.

About 40 stairs up to my room but I knew about them and I'm not complaining, just mentioning in case others need to take into account.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our family room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the use of a fridge in the room, which was very handy. Excellent location, only 10 mins walk from the town centre and the North Bay beach. We would definitely come again!

Only 1 toilet roll 😱 dusty in upstairs living area specially the chairs around table and no tea towel to dry pots

Situated in good position for North Bay and Peasholm Park. A lot of hill walking.😊

We were on the top floor of the house. It was a nice room and spotless with the utilities you require. Downfall was the five flights of stairs we had to walk up.

Location - Ideal for open air theatre concerts. Parking - Easy parking just outside with a permit from the hotel (small fee required depending on time) Clean - Lovely bright clean room, comfortable beds. Value - Great value for money ! Staff/owner - Fab communication, friendly and helpful. Easy check in / check out.
