Excellent location for what we needed. Paul and David were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. A good information pack left in our room about the guest house and surrounding area. The accommodation was so clean and tidy. Ensuite had everything you needed. Bed was comfortable, we had a good sleep. The room spacious with lovely decoration in pictures, cushions, etc. Lovely choice of breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were to die for! My partner had a cooked breakfast and said best he had in ages. If visiting Scarborough again I will definitely be contacting the Pheonix guest house to see if they have availability, best guest house ive stayed at in years.

Everything I could not fault the Phoenix Guest house It is top of the leaderboard for me. I have stayed in many guest houses over the years and this is far the best! I have stayed with my husband and also stayed on another occasions with Freinds

I love that this is a 5 minute walk up the road to the Scarborough open air theatre which holds many events and concerts and only a five minute taxi ride into the main town centre for shopping so win-win on location The hosts where super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you nothing was too much bother. The beds were super comfortable and even provided fan in the room during the hot period this time I stayed in a twin room number 7 I love the fact that the room was splitting into two with two separate beds and an ensuite sink in each room very practical love the little idea of the honesty box where you are you can purchase a range of snacks and drinks and leave the money in the little tin provided once again thanks for a lovely day. Will definitely be back again soon.😎

Just spent a wonderful long weekend at The Phoenix Guest House and I can't say enough good things about my experience! Paul and David are exceptional hosts who truly go above and beyond to make your stay special. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room (I had an upgrade, lucky me) was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby! Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to ensure guests have everything they need. Breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning - all freshly prepared with quality ingredients and plenty of options to choose from.

This lovely BnB is run with passion and it is a very clean and well kept house. In the room you have the possibility to make yourself a cup of tea and the ensuite showers are small but everything you need is there. The house is near North Bay and close to a park and a summer open air event location. You can start here for any kind of activity. The owners are so nice and you can choose from different breakfast options ( not included) which are freshly prepared in the morning. The fruit salad is amazing.

One of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed in! Paul and David clearly take pride in their guest house and both lovely gentleman. My room was clean, quiet, warm and felt super cosy. This was my first solo trip and I felt very safe. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast facilities but it did smell delicious! Great location, only a 15 minute easy walk from the train station and there’s a local cafe, restaurant and shop nearby. I’m looking forward to being able to book here again. Thank you for having me!

The only niggle I can think of is that check in was not available when I initially wanted (after 7.30pm after travelling after work) though this was confirmed very quickly after I booked, leaving me plenty of time to cancel if I wanted to and I’m very glad I didn’t ☺️

Absolutely loved a couple of days in Scarborough at the Phoenix. Thank you so much to the hosts , who tended to my every breakfast need , amazing mushrooms. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy. Not too far a walk to the main street / the front and to some good places to eat and drink. I had a fab time on my first solo holiday and didn't feel as anxious as I thought I would. Thanks to this place for being so relaxed and calm x very good price too. Would highly recommend this place.

Paul and David where perfect hosts, couldnt do enough for you. Really warm and friendly people. The Phoenix Guest house was lovely. Spacious rooms, always kept clean and tidy with everything you could need. Breakfast was made fresh each morning and was super tasty. Guest house is located either a short work away from attractions or a bus that would take you to attractions. My stay was everything I was looking for, comfy quiet and stress free. I'd definately stay at the Phoenix again if I go back to scarborough and with be telling everyone I know about this wonderfull place.

The room was scrupulously clean, the owners were very friendly and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The blueberry pancakes are to die for! They even took the trouble to call us by name, rather than "Mr & Mrs....." which was a nice, friendly touch, and made you feel that they value your visit.

Parking was a bit of an issue through the entire town and outside the guesthouse, but this is a problem with Scarborough Council as a whole, and NOT the Phoenix owners, as they can't control this. There were 5 or 6 places we wanted to visit, but couldn't as my mobility is limited and there is no parking either free or pay & display- it is entirely permit based, especially by the seafront.

David and Paul were really warm and welcoming. We found both hosts accommodating with good quality breakfast, perfectly poached eggs and delicious blueberry pancakes! Everything was clean. We enjoyed our conversations with Paul and David. The free parking was a pleasant surprise to us. The property was perfectly placed near to a local bar and an amazing fish and chips. Plus only a short walk to Peasholm park, and a lovely walk to the centre or the coast!

Our room was a tad on the small side, but this can’t be helped. We did hear the next door’s tv and conversation from the breakfast room.

The Hosts are just amazing David and Paul cannot do enough for you. They are the most loveliest people I have ever met. The rooms are so clean, I dont think I have ever seen a guest house with such clean high standards. the hosts are amazing, the breakfast was delicous. We had a lovely sleep. The parking you are given a zone disc and its just so easy. The litle touches as in the honesty box for the snacks out side the rooms is a great little touch. The stay was so lovely I bought them a thankyou card to give them before I checked out. Thanks guys we will be back.
