The owners as always very welcoming When we arrived for our stay We have stayed here before our third Time staying. This year Alison and Neil went out of There way to help with any problems We had And were both very chatty showing us To our room And showing us how to work the shower. We had a room again with a sea view And the beach and sealife centre And also the castle view. Short work from the guest house Into town We were made to feel like we was Walking into our own Family homes Lovely breakfast every morning Will definitely be back here next year To stay. May be different owners As they are in the process Of selling the guest house Feeling a bit sad 😔 😞 😞

The location is wonderful, its in the quieter end of Scarborough and on the sea front. Its very close to the beautiful Peasholm park and the cricket ground. We booked a sea view room on the 1st floor which was bigger than we expected and with all the facilities we needed for a 1 night stay. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. This visit was just a flying one for a family celebration but we generally visit Scarborough 2-3 times a year due to having family in there but this is the first time we have stayed in this area. We had a long drive home the following day and left before breakfast was served but the host very kindly offered us a bacon sandwich to take with us which we were very impressed with. The hotel is in a grade 2 listed building which is lovely and we would definitely stay there again and will recommend the hotel to anyone who visits Scarborough.

On site parking is available but very limited but there are marked parking spaces on the the road opposite the hotel. Plug sockets in the room were very limited but it wasn't a huge issue for us.

Not offered breakfast, location was excellent but car parking area could be better if the hedge was taken out to give more room for cars to fit into space properly& a bit tight if more than 4 cars. My photo is the view from outside over the sea view lovely day & night.

Did not like the parking & 3pm to book in was not convenient for us earlier was better. You need to be early as you do not know if you would get a car park space which makes it harder if you want to eat out& come back to a space if there had been more people staying.

Fabulous quaint Victorian b&b set back from the beach front within easy walking distance from local attractions, restaurants, and pubs. Our room was a fair size double room & was overlooking the street. Very clean with bath/hand towels, complimentary toiletries in the bathroom, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, even had a fan in the bedroom. The hosts were both very welcoming. We had a full cooked breakfast in the morning, which was absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had!! Excellent value for money, I would have no qualms about visiting The Whiteley again smile 😊

This is a really traditional bed & breakfast and was a pleasure to stay here. Yes, like other reviews say, it may be dated, but all this added to the charm of the place and it was clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for Scarborough beach and town centre etc. Great hosts, nothing too much trouble and really made us feel welcome, a credit to the industry. Lovely breakfast in the morning and freshly cooked. All in all a lovely stay ☺️.

Perfect location for the open-air theatre, which is within walking distance. Good-sized rooms, plenty of storage. Parking too but not the best. Feel like the check out time could also be maybe an hour later, but all in all good stay

Parking isn't great as I got asked to move the car when we weren't even ready, Luckily I was awake but could have still been asleep. A bit noisy outside with a car alarm going off but not the B&B's fault.

We loved everything about our stay at the Whiteley. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated with a fabulous sea view. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was a good size and very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Alison, who made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were great with plenty of choices and cooked to perfection. Car parking was easy : although there was limited parking on site we were issued with a parking permit to park opposite. All in all a lovely stay and we’ll definitely be coming back.

A charming and historic seaside hotel, filled with traditional features and perfectly positioned overlooking the Bay. The room was spotless, had everything we needed, while the bed was extremely comfy. This, added to a warm welcome from the extremely friendly and helpful hosts followed by a wonderful breakfast the following morning, made it a most enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend.
