The whole experience was lovely - the owners could not do enough for us, from greeting us at the door on arrival and carrying our luggage to the room to waving us off at the end of our stay. The food was wonderful - great continental offer plus everything cooked was beautifully presented and really tasty; they were happy to accommodate variations on the main breakfast offers as well. We had a bonus evening meal which was lovely too and some time in the bar which was a lovely evening. The room was spacious, very clean and well presented, facilities were all we needed. The owners' knowledge of the area was great - things to do, travel options, even down to what was happening in the area and roads to avoid on our way home.

Nothing to dislike

The Headlands was like a home from home. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back and Steve and Karen were the best hosts. It felt like nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was five star and breakfast was superb. Overall one word - QUALITY. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

I loved the aesthetic of the hotel. The decor was all 60s themed and done very tastefully, which gave the place some personality. Everything was perfectly clean and in good condition. But what really made the experience special was the hospitality. Steve and Karen made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed. They offered a personal touch that you just don't get in bigger hotels, but did so without being overly familiar or overbearing. They also helped to make our experience in Scarborough as enjoyable as possible by recommending some great places to eat. They even told us about a place nearby where we could see seals, which really made our trip. If we ever come back to Scarborough, we'll most definitely stay here again.

Everything was good, first night had an uncomfortable sleep I could feel the springs in the mattress but had a word with owners and they very quickly changed mattress so second night had a perfect sleep, breakfast and room very good. Would recommend to anyone, lovely couple running it.

The room was clean, recently refurbished and modern. The bar area was welcoming and creatively decorated. The breakfast was well-cooked, value for money and professionally presented. The location was quiet, close to the sea front, with parking on site and in the local streets.

Hospitality, food, cleanliness, comfort, facilities all excellent. Karen and Steve are two lovely people who cannot do enough to ensure you have a fantastic experience.

Very clean, excellent breakfast, friendly hosts, perfect location to explore Scarborough

Nothing, everything was excellent

I stayed here with my 14 year old son we found it to be Immaculatly clean with attention to detail. Even came round the bar with a box of chocolates for the residents. Breakfast was superb, gave my son an extra sausage at breakfast as the football team he supports lost the night before! 😂 The hosts very welcoming and relaxed. The bar was well stocked . Parking was free and on site. Location for us was brilliant,We were in a quiet residential street, however all the attraction are within easy reach it's just a five minutes walk to Alpamare swimming pool. There was a brewers fayre style pub serving fairly priced meals next to alpamare with a free pool table, the bus service from Alpamare to the South Bay for £8 return for and Adult and child. Peasom Park was around 5 minutes walk too. The hotel bar serves snacks on an evening although we didn't have any. Overall I would recommend The Headlands. We will be returning.
