We arrived very late - just before midnight; but the reception was open and the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful and had a smile - makes a big difference! He was also there when we can for an early breakfast and was as equally as helpful getting us breakfast as we hadn’t pre-ordered. Breakfast was good too. The only thing that stopped me giving an excellent all round rating was that the adjoining walls did let some noise from the next door rooms through and for me there was a lack of pegs to hang coats from the wardrobe/storage space was bizarre and very hard to put anything in usefully. Wonderful stay otherwise, thank you.

everything!! from arriving to leaving everything was perfect. the rooms are so cosy and like american motels, if you like that style. i don’t know why people complain about the noise from the main road, if you close the windows properly and the doors you can’t hear it, especially on a night when it’s quiet. it was no problem for me. i can’t comment on the breakfast because i paid for it just didn’t get there in time. but the evening food was amazing!! the staff were so nice, so easy to get to the rooms too. we drove 6 hours to get there and it was no hassle once we got there. we managed to get a downstairs room so we could park our car right outside our door, as there is no shared hallway the door just leads straight outside which i loved. check out is not too early (12pm) so gives you enough time to get ready to leave! 100% worth the money, we stayed for 3 nights and loved every bit of it! thanks ibis we will be coming again!!

i loved everything.

What a pleasant surprise! Wasn't expecting anything exceptional, it's an Ibis, thought it would be OK, but wasn't expecting this. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, It was spotlessly clean, the room was small but ideal for what we wanted and very close to the car park. Given the proximity to the A38, was concerned about road noise, but even that was negligible and above all, the bed was very comfortable and both of us slept very well both nights. We booked the breakfast and both the cooked and continental was buffet style and also ideal for what we needed. Happily stay there again, would highly recommend.

Some tomatoes or mushrooms at the breakfast buffet would have been a nice addition to the usual sausages, bacon, beans etc, but that's it! Everything was really very good.

I had to stay for 2 wks with my dog while my husband was in hospital. It was the lovely friendly Staff that made my stay. They were not only friendly to me and my dog but also asked after my husband. Every evening I would sit in the cosy sitting area with sofas and my dog was welcome as well as in the bar/restaurant area. The room is not large but very comfortable and the bed was comfy as well. I stayed in January but the room was always warm enough. I ate in the Hotel every evening and the food is very good., maybe not the sort of food for a diet, but hearty comfort food and a delicious sticky toffee pudding! The rooms are in a separate building right next to Reception and Bar/Restaurant but I found that much easier with the dog as I could take her straight from the car parked in front of the room. I would definitely stay again.

Loved everything about it the rooms was absolutely amazing clean and great for what we wanted. A good room if your decorating for an special occasion as it was my 20th and my partner decorated the room really nicely. Massive thank you to the staff we was there for my 20th birthday and on the day my partner suffered a medical emergency and the line manager that was on was an absolutely amazing help with calling 999 for me and help me treat and reassure my partner will a Ambulance arrived. They then helped sort the things for after as my partner was taking to hospital at 11pm so the staff helped sort my room and booking out and made sure we can collect out belongings.

Really there was not issues at all staff was amazing and nothing really to say.

The friendliness of the staff to humans and doggies! Big thanks to Tracy who helped me with a booking issue and who is always friendly (we have stayed here a few times over the years) Food is awesome too. We liked being able to park our car right outside the bedroom door which was a great help. The room itself was small but with enough room for it to be comfortable for the two of us and our dog and it had a great bathroom and shower. I can't recommend this hotel enough if you are looking for a comfortable short stay on route to Plymouth or onwards to Cornwall as it is just off the A38.

I didn't like the road noise from the A38. I am a light sleeper and I found myself waking up to motorcyclists at 2 in the morning. It is not the hotel's fault but with great convenience for the A38 comes the noise of the A38 too. I knew this was going to happen when I booked the hotel and I still chose to book because it is a great hotel. If the Ibis could sound proof the rooms better then that would be the cherry on the already great cake.

The rooms are very modern and clean, especially the bathroom (shower room really). Plenty of parking spaces available. Friendly staff. Nice to have tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

The shower wasn't very powerful, we're used to a power shower though. There was a smell of cigarette smoke coming from outside as one of our near neighbours was smoking constantly. I'm not sure if the postcode on the hotel website is correct, as the sat nav sent us to the next door industrial units car park area before we realised that the hotel entrance was the next driveway!

Lovely lodge style rooms with grass and trees outside. I thought it was raining during the evening, but it was my hanging basket being watered! Really friendly nice staff throughout the stay. Good food, pleasant outside eating area. Really comfortable bed and pillow. Although it was hot, humid weather, the room was a very comfortable temperature and there were no loud droning noises that you get in some hotels or complicated air conditioning systems! Quiet and peaceful. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm visiting Plymouth.

I really can't think of anything.

When I arrived...late in the evening, staff were super friendly and very helpful. My room was just what I needed. Bathroom was a basic shower but it worked and water was hot! Bed was comfortable with extra pillows available. I had breakfast included and the options at breakfast was spot on. Options for both hot buffet and some pasty options. Felt very much like a blast from the past with outside walkways to your rooms, like a old school motel. The hotel is close to the main road, but as soon as you close both the outside main door and inner door I could not hear a thing.

You get what you pay for. Bathroom is basic, but all I needed was a shower and I had that! Limited options for entertainment, there were a few TV channels but again I was there for one night so not a real negative for me.

Check in all went well with no fuss. On site bar good for a night cap albeit prices were on the expensive side. Easy to find just off the main road with ample parking. No dramas - stay went as expected

The bed was not very comfortable with two single pushed together to make up a double - Kept rolling to the middle. At check out the reception staff were informed about this issue
