The location was excellent. We stayed in a cottage and it was lovely to sit outside on the terrace in the sunshine enjoying the country views. Breakfast in the Grainary was good.

The automatic lights in the bathroom.They kept going out leaving you showering in the dark.Not the best idea and quite dangerous. Cups and cutlery minimal. Would have been nice to have shower gel in the bathroom. We had an evening meal in the Grainary restaurant, it was disappointing. We ordered two sirloin steak meals, expecting a real treat. The steaks were nowhere near 12oz and both had far too much fat on.We did let the staff know.

Great cottage, lovely bar and restaurant in the hotel complex with friendly and helpful staff. Middle of countryside location and good dog walks into forest and fabulous for dark skies. Accommodation was lovely with good enclosed garden to let dog off lead. Great wet room downstairs and set up for people with disabilities if required.

Couldn't fault anything

We loved the size and location of the cottage. We loved staying in the farm with some lovely animals. The staff in the restaurant were very accommodating. There wasn’t enough room for the five of us for Sunday but They abled us to eat Sunday lunch in our cottage. Food was really lovely. Well done to all the staff at The Grainary, I Would recommend staying in one of the cottages.

The tv didn’t work in master bedroom and shower leaked.

We had breakfast on the last day in the hotel restaurant. It was excellent. And there was a special area where we could take our dog in the restaurant. All the staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. The tv in the lounge didn’t work when we arrived so Carl came over straight away and brought us another one.

The only problem that I had was the height of the mirror in the bathroom. It was obviously fitted by a 6’ person who forgot some people are only 5’2”. I had a good view of the top of my head.

The cafe/restaurant on site is excellent. The immediate area is perfect for dog walking. Perfect location to chill and dog walk. Beautiful scenery Staff very friendly Would suit family with young children as there are lots of animals on the farm, geese, goats, donkeys and good play area.

The scenery was beautiful. The restaurant was excellent and the staff were lovely The Cottage was great.

The cottage was a home away from home. It was just what we needed. The restaurant food was amazing.
