This was our second stay at The Plough - we were visiting Scarborough for a football match (Scarborough vs Chester) and made a break of it on both occasions. This time we recommended The Plough to friends, who booked one of your cottages. Next time I think we'll book a cottage - it was gorgeous!!! Food in the restaurant also excellent, as was the overall ambience and friendliness of the staff.

Our room was quite small although a lot had been packed into it - fine for a night but we would not have wanted to be there for several days. Given it cost £164 for the night - this was not cheap for the size of the accommodation.

This country pub is close to Scarborough with on street parking roundabouts. Bar staff give you your room key, which are easy to find upstairs from scope. The room was well appointed, freshly decorated, and clean. All the usual facilities, and lots of cushions and pillows from stop. Everything seemed to work. I booked room only, but you could have breakfast for 18 lbs more. I didn't.

The only negative things where that there wasn't a bath towel, only a hand towel. Though. Didn't bother asking for one and I'm sure I would've got it. The room windows were sealed, and the room was quite hot. There didn't seem to be any way of getting fresh air. Walk with a bit of a headache. Being a pub, there wasn't really anywhere for guests apart from the main bar which was very busy.

We rented a house 23 North Street which was as we had expected. Set in a quiet location with a lovely back garden, as the sun shining we were able to use this facility. On arrival the house was very clean, tidy, well kept and welcoming. We had been left bread, butter, eggs and bacon enough to cover our 1st nights stay as we did not arrive until Sunday at 7.30pm we were pleased with the bread and butter, as the majority of food places stop serving at 7pm Parking was not a problem.

This is very picky, there were only 2 toilet rolls for potentially 4 guests we bought more.... would have liked ice in the freezer on arrival as well. The stairs in this house are VERY steep there is a notice on the wall stating this..... good job we are fit and healthy. Other than that nothing else.

The cottage was lovely and well equipped, totally exceeding our expectations. The village is lovely and quiet with parking on the street. Down the road you have the Yew tree which serves breakfast, light bites, cakes and tea/coffee. There's also 2 x pubs the nags head and plough we didn't go in either but they both looked welcoming. The plough served food but the menus looked a little on the pricey side but I suppose if it's good it's worth it. Well Recommended 👍 we will be back in the future for sure.

The only thing I didn't like was all of the pillows. I found them uncomfortable sleeping and itchy when relaxing on the sofa. But this didn't affect my trip just took me a while to get to sleep.

The location was excellent . We stayed at the old post office cottage across from the Plough in . The cottage was absolutely stunning. and with the fine added touches of breakfast hamper and bottle of wine was lovely . We ate at the plough inn and found the food amazing and the place had a warm friendly vibe x Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a luxurious stay. Would definitely stay again x

Great location, particularly if staying over to visit the Open Air Theatre. Food and service at The Plough were to a very high standard and would recommend dropping in, even if just in the area. Accommodation / house was brilliant. Very clean, inviting, all fixtures / facilities to a high standard. Perfrct place to unwind and relax after a long day. Free bus if a guest to and from venue, so don't be put off its a couple of miles away. Highly recommend!!!

Decent hot cooked breakfast. Friendly & helpful staff, especially the night porter, who was happy to accommodate & meet our every need . Knowledgeable about the area & other venue/locations we were visiting .

We’re not small people & in room ensuite -We Kept knocking the toilet roll backwards off the holder with our left elbow (could do with a stop /or different holder) . We had 2 rooms & had also booked a table for dinner for 10 people - (which was good) only disappointment was the bar did lack a variety bottles spirits/drinks we requested….

Great location, so clean and with extra luxury touches in the bedroom. Molton Brown toiletries, fridge with drinks, premium crisps and biscuits in the room. Air cooler included. Lovely staff and friendly. All guests in 3 rooms were happy.

Quite expensive for the room date without breakfast. Breakfast £15 each additional to the room charge. The room 7 was really hot and the room window was permanently closed. Breakfast was simple, and fresh. I would have liked more fruit or premium fresh yoghurt. Water was not in the room and had to get some for the bar. This was extremely busy on a Saturday night. I would have liked to eat here, but if I was late there would be a £20 charge per person. For 6 people that was a high risk and did not make me comfortable booking the evening meal. As all guests were travelling from different areas. The rooms were very hot and did need air conditioning.

Beautiful hotel, lovely room and great staff. The food was delicious. The room was comfortable and well equipped with everything you might need. There were plenty of plug sockets and even usb ports for charging phones etc. Nice to have a fridge and fresh milk along with a coffee machine.

Although there was a dressing table and chair the mirror was too high to sit and use it. The outlook from our room was over the back of the property and the kitchen, beer barrels do not the best of views. We could here the extractor from the kitchen until quite late and were woken early in the morning by staff entering the kitchen and the door banging.

Friendly pub with rooms. Our room was beautifully appointed with great attention to detail. The room was not large -it wouldn’t be in a building of this age, but nicely decorated and great attention to detail. All together very comfortable and just what a boutique hotel room should be like. Staff were lovely, breakfast epic. What’s not to like? We will be back!

On street parking only. Took a while to find a space but only a minor inconvenience that did not detract from our stay.
