The staff at breakfast and lunch were welcoming and good humoured and the food served was of great quality. I was very glad to be staying in a property that was willing to participate in the Stonehaven Folk Festival. The use of the cafe generated high praise from festival participants.

The room really needs a replacement toilet seat, the one in place is flimsy and potentially dangerous; it fell off the first time I tried to use it, a clip on the fitting hadn’t been secured. It would have been nice if there had been someone to whom I could have conveyed this message in person; I had the impression that this wasn’t the responsibility of the breakfast waiting staff.

I am sure we had the best room in the building. Absolutely phenomenal view from our window seat. I fell in love with this room. Doesn’t even feel real! Check in was easy. The sitting room was lovely, my son and I played a couple rounds of chess in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and I loved the “breakfast post” concept. The barista who served us was sweet as could be. Not a single negative thing about this place!

We had the room with two single beds. It was large enough to also boast two comfy chairs placed in front of a very large window looking out toward the seashore. Across the hall was a living room with plenty of comfortable seating, a fireplace, books and games. The dining area was very clean and decorated in an attractive way. The staff were so pleasant, informative, and helpful. The lovely lady who served us breakfast recommended a distillery which was also fantastic. Both my son and I really enjoyed our stay here and wished we had more time to stay. It was the kind of place that made us feel at home, comfortable and relaxed. The weather was beautiful, but I would have been perfectly happy to stay inside, watching a storm from that widow...my son says he would like to honeymoon there when he gets married. The gardens leading up to the house were beautiful as well.

The mattresses could have been more comfortable, but they were certainly not the worst ones we experienced on our trip. There were several stairs leading up to the house, and then up to our room. It wasn't a problem for us, but could be if someone has mobility issues. I did not ask if there were accessibility options as we did not need them.

This is a very charming B&B. The rooms are beautiful, there's a lovely front garden and comfy lounge area. The breakfast in the attached cafe was delicious. Generally the whole aesthetic of the place was lovely and very carefully planned which made the stay feel special. Everything was clean and comfortable. We got a code to collect our key from a box so didn't meet anyone on check in, but the waitress at breakfast in the morning was very friendly!

Beautiful old house that provided comfortable accomodation in one of the attic rooms with a wonderful view to the water. Bedding and towels all very clean.

We did not receive instructions for key collection which caused a bit of inconvenience for the staff. Breakfast provided by the attached cafe was very nice but very slow. My husband would have preferred no chilli sauce on his smashed avocado - or perhaps the sauce could have been served in a separate dish.

It is prefectly placed in Anstruther. The rooms are very clean. There is a guest lounge which is brilliant and the breakfast is amazing.

I think that the room we were in was in the middle.of being refreshed. The paint was lovely and obviously new, the beds and bathroom were great. There was a window seat but no chair and the curtains needed to be hung properly and there were picture hooks and no pictures.

Charming property in a beautiful little town. Very comfortable rooms and lovely and clean. Check in is very smooth. Host is responsive to messages but you don’t see anyone till breakfast which isn’t an issue at all. Breakfast was very good in the little cafe and the young lady who served us was kind and warm. Beautiful little outside garden to sit in and admire the views. Would not hesitate to recommend Arduthie House.

I found Arduthie House to be very welcoming with a lovely decor and comfortable accommodation.

The whole experience was delightful from the very comfortable spotless room, the closeness to the beach and the harbour, the delicious food served in the Neuk Cafe, and last but not least the very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful experience!

The place has a beautiful setting and was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely come back and stay a couple of nights. They also allowed us to store our bikes in a side alley out of sight.

They didn't serve breakfast early enough for us. 8:30 start is a bit late as we had to catch a train just after 9.

We spent 2 nights at Arduthie house and it was everything we needed. This lovely bed and breakfast in Stonehaven is stylish, comfy and felt like a home away from home. Our room was spotless and the mattress was so comfortable. On top of that, breakfast was excellent and the young woman working in the cafe couldn't have been nicer. We liked it so much we will be back.
