First time staying at a Days inn and it was a great experience, check in was really quick and straight forward, the room was a good size and was really clean. the bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a comfy armchair as well as a chair at the desk, there was tea and coffee in the room and also spare pillows, the bathroom was of an extremely good size with a massive walk in shower which was a refreshing change from some of the re furbished modular bathrooms in other hotel chains which are tiny, even the hand wash and shower gel provided was good quality and smelt really nice we chose the hotel for its location to where we were heading and frankly couldnt fault it, a little tip if you are staying on a budget with family, we ate in the services around 9pm and saw people picking up too good to go bags from the pret a manger store and they were huge, plenty of sandwiches etc for the family to eat..so might be worthwhile checking that out before hand.

The room was good ,comfortable bed, great shower room, fan was provided on request, breakfast and bar facilities were very good. A good variety of facilities are available next door at the MOTO services. It's location was perfect for our visits to Wetherby, Harrogate and York

We struggled to get the cleaners to come to the room. the bin was not emptied for 2 days . The cleaners do not clean the shower floor because it is a walk in wet room style shower and the think it cleans itself but I cleaned the further edge which had not been touched for some time.

Staff were friendly, the gentlemen whom I dealt with checking was really polite and helpful. Adding an extra night on at reception was no hassle.

Granted the windows had been open and with the location there's naturally a lot of dust/pollen from the fields/motorway but housekeeping could be better. Dust building up in quite a few places in the room but that can be rectified. The other problem in regards to comfort was the duvet. It's very hot even with the window open and the radiator off. Had to remove the "stained" duvet from inside the cover and just use the duvet cover.

Clean, good lighting, comfortable bed. Parking nearby. I am allergic to mushrooms - really glad no mushrooms in the cooked breakfast buffet so I could have the hot breakfast. We came by car, but I was impressed that there were maps in reception of how to walk into Wetherby and copies of the bus timetable.

Wish there was a fridge.No air conditioning so room was very hot. I noticed another guest carrying a fan down the corridor so got a fan from reception myself. Also only one bath towel with 2 hand towels in the room. We got an extra bath towel at reception - glad we noticed this.

Room was a good size, was clean and contemporary. The layout was really well designed, and the fixtures were in good order and looked nice . I liked all the options for lighting and plenty well-considered places to store things. The room was not dated. The wifi was fine and the bed was comfortable. At this hotel there was a nice view over fields and trees and it was quiet with the window closed. Breakfast had many options and the food was replenished. The hotel was close to the retail area, and it had a lounge area to relax downstairs and a bar.

all good- nothing was wrong

The property was clean, the room big enough for a family of four. Staff were great and there was a bar on site for a shandy after a long drive. We stayed two nights and were easily able to drive into York for the day. Parking was free as long as you registered your vehicle at reception. As it is in the service station, there were multiple options for food, snacks and breakfast. Great value for money and an overall great stay.

There was little not to like about the property for the money we paid.

The check in staff were extremely friendly and pleasent. Our check out cleaner / domestic was extremely professional and was very supportive when I lost my keys. She was very comforting, it was a lovely change to meet staff that take pride in their level of care. The cleaniness of the room was outstanding upon arrival and the second day of our stay.

The pull out bed was a little uncomfortable to sit on as the bars were quite high at the bottom. We weren't provided with enough toilet roll to last our stay.

The room was a decent size, clean and tidy with all the expected facilities and accessories. Given the proximity to the A1, the traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. Shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. Parking was easy as it is part of the roadside services complex so there is a large car park immediately outside but no dedicated hotel area for guests.

The room was cold on arrival and I didn’t realise until morning that the electric heating was not automatic and needed to be switched on manually. A heads-up from the desk clerk would have been helpful, particularly given it was December and around 2 degrees outside. The duvet was also quite lightweight, so, without the heating on, the room was quite cool overnight. Struggled to get Netflix or YouTube to function without downloading apps, but standard TV channels were fine. Breakfast was adequate but limited choice on cooked options with only sausages, bacon, beans and scrambled eggs. £6.20 for a can of Guinness.

Staff on reception - Philip Lo (?) was brilliant, very friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, my dad liked the way cooked food was presented because it actually stayed hot. Good range of breakfast items and enjoyed marmalade in pot rather than messing about with individual portion pots. Cleaning staff very friendly and polite when ever met in corridor.

Father felt the bed was too hard for his liking and lighting in rooms was not bright enough for older person with reduced vision.

Good staff, bedding, fab room size, easy to use TV, good water pressure in bathroom. Towels and tea and coffee replenished daily if required. Bar in the hotel foyer is good and charge reasonable prices. They serve breakfast which always smelt good. A range of shops selling fast food on site but a bit expensive and not many healthy options. Wetherby is a five minute drive up the road with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Would have appreciated a fridge in the room to store meds in
