DO NOT MISS OUT! It’s so lovely we stayed longer. Stunning and icdillic grounds. Beautifu, old, rustic, cute and comfortable cottage. The decor was on point and this is my dream home and surroundings. Amazing sunsets. Free roaming chickens and was given free range eggs which some were blue but they were all delicious. Lovely log fire with wood, kindling, fire starters and lighter. Was so clean. I didn’t want to leave. Owner lives on site but unless you need anything, you’re left alone. They were so kind, genuinely friendly and helpful. Local Asda garage for petrol and food.

Skipbridge Farm Cottages I had a wonderful stay at Skipbridge Farm Cottages. The property is located in a beautiful, scenic area, perfect for a relaxing countryside escape. The owner was a lovely and hospitable person, always willing to help with anything we needed. During a spell of hot weather, they kindly provided a fan, which made a big difference. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like tea sachets, coffee, butter, and jam — a very welcoming touch.

A truly peaceful and pleasant stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a charming rural setting. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Great communication from the host in advance and ability to contact them anytime for anything - didn’t need to, but reassuring. Very cosy, exactly as described, pleasantly surprised by the standard of the kitchen and bathroom specifically - really good value for money

It was lovely and cosy and we were very happy, but if I had to suggest an improvement it would be to have nicer/more stylish runner/cushions on the bed and a couple of the pillow cases were looking a little threadbare, but it was clean and the linens/towels generally good and smelled lovely

The farm itself is wonderful with a range of cottages, glamping, and a wonderful selection of friendly farm animals. It was a pleasure to walk around the farm with our dog. The cottage itself was very well done, a lovely mix of rustic charm and modern decor. The kitchen was well kitted out with everything you need to cook, and the Denby crockery is a very nice touch. Staff were friendly and responsive to any issues and questions we had. The farm is well situated within an easy drive from York, but it was nice to come back to the calm of the country. The cottage did back onto the main road but this does quieten down at night. Really nice to have the picnic bench area outside the cottage, and the stars were beautiful at night.

Nothing major really, just wish that the bed in the bigger room wasn't against the wall as climbing over someone to get to the toilet in the middle of the night isn't ideal! Also several items in the kitchen needed rewashing but not a big deal when you can tell how much has gone into the accommodation.

Beautiful cottage in pretty surroundings but the lack of communication with owner made things difficult as no directions or key info sent & had to chase this up via phone an hour before leaving. A few minor issues in cottage. Toilet kept flushing & wouldn't stop a few times. There was a strange line on picture on TV on all channels & a few long cobwebs on ceiling above fireplace. Apart from that a comfortable place despite being on busy main road the traffic eased to allow a peaceful nights sleep on a comfy bed with crisp cotton bed linen. Nice grounds to walk around & parking directly outside.

Communication with owner could be improved

Such a peaceful place to recharge your batteries. Very helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble and as the owners are on site there is always a friendly face nearby to assist in any way should you need. The house was perfect, extremely clean and everything you would need for a self catering stay. Perfect location to York or Harrogate and lots of lovely walks nearby if you wanted to drag yourself away. Just a wonderful place and would definitely recommend and I will stay again. Pet friendly too!

The rooms were excellent, with no expense spared on the decoration, appliances etc. The outdoor surroundings were quirky - we liked them. They obviously cater for weddings here, but in our case it was over 50 years too late....

Our bedroom was slightly airless but if we opened the window it let in the traffic noise because the road was very near. This probably wouldn't be important to someone who was used to noise, but in our case we live on a farm and it is very quiet, so we are not used to noise!

Very clean and peaceful

WiFi. - advertised but never worked. Rang the owner to ask for correct password as advertised in our welcome package but never got a reply. Had to chase this up when I eventually found someone who worked there during the weekend. Taxi company advertised in the welcome noted very rude and didn’t went to help out during our stay. I would recommend not putting there details out for customers any longer. 4x4 parked all weekend right at the entrance to our accommodation. We were staying with our child and struggled to squeeze past with our pram and luggage etc.

Stunning farm cottage with everything our family needed for a lovely stay in Yorkshire! House was clean and had lots of thoughtful details throughout like tea and biscuits together with Denby cups. We all had a good night sleep as the beds were very comfortable. In the morning me and my daughter got up and the farmer introduced us to the animals which included donkeys, alpacas and ponies as well as goats and very friendly cats, one of which came into our house to be petted! Getting to York was less than 20 minutes drive away so it was ideal for us.

Absolutely stunning. We were lucky we managed to book during a very sunny weekend and I can’t fault the property at all. It was absolutely beautiful. Beds were comfy and the property was nice and warm. Beautiful decor and attention to detail. Kitchen had everything we needed. Big ratings to the property cat as well that made our stay incredibly memorable, kept trying to sneak into our living room and taking over the sofa😂 we named her smudge, she was a very good girl. Would definitely come again, hopefully for a longer stay!
