Central location with restaurants /bars close by however we ate at Valentino’s - lovely vibe, great food and well worth a visit. Breakfast was superb! Staff very friendly and welcoming both in the hotel and restaurant. Room clean, modern and lovely comfortable bed - we slept very well. We were provided with a fan in the bedroom to help with the heat - very thoughtful and did the job! On site parking was an additional bonus.

Because of the central location it could be a bit noisy due to the location on a road but this did not have any great impact on our stay. We thought our room was lovely but quite expensive for one night however, it could be used for four people and we were only two.

This is the perfect example of a privately owned place run hands on by the owners. No attention to detail is spared from the decor to the attention to cleanliness and the making you feel welcome. The breakfasts are exceptional. You are greeted with a crystal glass filled with ice cold water and a twist of lemon then a complimentary ham and a second cheese croissant followed by a cooked choice of smoked salmon with poached eggs, for other choices or muesli with fresh fruit and yoghurt. It is situated right in the centre of Ripon with free onsite parking. Our room was stylish and modern. We asked for additional coffee pods and these were provided together with extra biscotti with no problems at all I would thoroughly recommend this venue.

We stopped off for a 1 night stay en route to the Lake District. Excellent all round. Had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant & a lovely Italian breakfast in the morning. The staff were very polite & helpful. The room, although small & compact was lovely & clean & a tower fan provided. It also came with coffee/tea making facilities, a mini fridge with chilled sparkling & still water plus a small bottle of fresh milk. Complimentary Italian biscuits were also gifted to sample. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We would love to return sometime, but for a longer stay we would book a larger room. On saying that we have no complaints whatsoever about anything.

Breakfast was delicious. Served from 08:00 which is good for work travellers. Breakfast arrived with sumptuous stuffed croissants and my choice of poached eggs on focaccia with Parma ham was perfect and plentiful. The staff were efficient and friendly and a perfect level of interaction. The room was super clean and modern. Bed really comfortable along with the pillows. Good walk in shower with lots of room. And the usual teas coffees and homemade biscotti in jars was a real treat after a long drive. Also a mini fridge with fresh milk and water was much appreciated. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. I'll stay again when working in the area. Residents parking on site was great to find.

Nothing not to like. The picture frame smart TV was a bit high on the wall but ok to watch from the bed. If I had to be picky and if you like sitting in a lounge area at a hotel, this restaurant with rooms would not be for you. For me though it was great.

Nice friendly welcome on arrival ,the room was nice and clean modern and as expected from the time of booking. The breakfast was Italian style and absolutely lovely nothing was too much trouble and the staff were great . Evening meal in the restaurant again was lovely. I'm struggling to find fault without being petty. Would highly recommended a stay here , york is 35 mins away by car as we used this as a base . The Free onsite parking makes things easy . Would definitely return again and recommend this as a place to stay.

Only down side is the bed was to soft for me but that's absolutely my personal preference not the hotels fault.

What a lovely stay we have had here, staff so welcoming and the room was beautiful and very clean. Ideally situated right in the centre of Ripon with a place to park our car in their private carpark. After a couple of drinks at a pub across the road, we had our evening meal in the restaurant and again this was exceptional. Breakfast following morning was waiter service with a great selection of options. Cannot find any fault with this venue and would highly recommend to family and friends. When we visit Ripon again we will definitely be booking here.

This was a short trip away to celebrate my birthday. Neither my husband or I had been to Ripon before so we were not sure what to expect. The staff were excellent, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with really good choices. Totally different from the normal offerings at other establishments. The evening meals were outstanding too, food presentation and value for money 10/10. I would not hesitate in recommending Valentino's to anyone. A bonus to be able to park in a busy centre too. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. We also had a meal at their sister property The Water Rat, a short stroll along the river. Equally as good food and excellent staff too. Thank you so much for a really lovely stay and we will definitely be returning in the future. Ripon is very lucky to have a place like yours!!!

I can't think of anything negative to say about Valentino's.

Nice welcome. Room was large and well appointed, as was the bathroom. It was really very nicely done. Breakfast was excellent Italian style. Great central location with parking.

There is quite a bit of noise from the road outside and the pub opposite. Also the restaurant door directly under our room caused everything to shudder every time it slammed shut. However after 23.00 it went quiet and we had a peaceful night. I found the bed a little uncomfortable / hard, but my wife thought it was fine.

This place is fantastic!! We were blown away by how nice the staff were from start to finish - we arrived late and they very kindly sorted us something to eat despite the kitchen being closed. The bedroom and bathroom were new and very clean, and both had anything you could need. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice of different things. Couldn't recommend this more highly - already hoping we can come back one day! Thank you so much for having us.

ALTHOUGH OUR ROOM WAS ON THE SMALL SIDE, WE ENJOYED OUR STAY, OUR SECOND TIME STAYING AT VALENTINO’S. THE STAFF ARE VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY, THE FOOD IS GOOD, AND IT HAS THE BEST BREAKFAST, SO NICE TO HAVE A CHANGE FROM THE UBIQUITOUS FULL ENGLISH! WE APPRECIATED HAVING OFF STREET PARKING RESERVED FOR OVERNIGHT GUESTS.

OUR ROOM WAS A BIT SMALL FOR THE PRICE. WE HAD A LOT OF STREET NOISE ON ONE OF THE EVENINGS WHICH WENT ON FOR A LONG TIME. NEVERTHELESS WE WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
