The property was nicely maintained. All staff I came in contact with were very friendly. The pool and hot tub were great! Access to the beach was quick and direct. Location is in a residential neighborhood so it was really quiet.

The walls were very thin. I shouldn’t be able to hear the man in the next room yawn (granted, it was a big man yawn). My husband downloaded a white noise app for our second night and we slept much better. I also didn’t like that the bedroom (we were in a suite) and bathroom were right on the walkway. With the windows open, people walking by could look right in. There was no fan in the bedroom. We like our room cold when we sleep but didn’t feel comfortable with the windows open - again because of noise. I would probably stay again if the facility offered a fan and noise machine.

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was supplied with good shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The breakfast was nice - waffle maker, juice, tea, bread, cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, jellies, bananas. There was free parking (for one car). The room had a fridge, iron and board, hair dryer. The room had a dead bolt and one of those flip over locks

The room had a smell to it that we had to air out, it wasn't terrible but not pleasant.

We missed the breakfast. There was no mention of it when we checked in so we didn't think we were entitled to it! It would have been an excellent addition to our stay. Especially with two little ones! I had looked around to see where it would be set up, but once I didn’t see it and nothing was mentioned about a continental breakfast.

Nothing major. We missed the breakfast. With a toddler and a 1 year old, we really needed a room with a tub. Room was handicap accessible however, it was not easy to bathe little ones with no tub. I didn’t feel totally safe being by the back gate and the front door didn’t feel exceptionally secure. Since the property is by the beach, I think a broom and dust pan (in the closet)would be a welcomed addition to sweep up sand off the floor. ;-) There needs to be more hotel info in the room, places to eat, wi-fi info…

Room was nice and newly remodeled. Breakfast room was nice and newly remodeled. Bed was very comfortable. 1 block from a nice beach.

Shower temperature was tepid. Handle only moved 90 degrees rather than typical 180 degrees so maybe that's why the water never got warm enough. There was no thermostat that told the current temperature of the room and the temperature control only said warmer and cooler. Impossible to know what yo set at overnight so we just turned off.

It was easy to find and very close to the beach, we were able to walk to the beach in about five minutes. The room was clean, staff was nice, and parking was always available.

The only thing I didn’t like about the property was the very loud neighbors. There seem to have been people living there — which is just fine, but there wasn’t any security around to enforce quietness if we needed to call. Also, the towels need fabric softener, they were kind of rough.

My room was only 500 feet from the beach. The employees working at the complementary breakfast were for very kind. I like the pool and the Jacuzzi. My bed and the pillows were really comfy. I had plenty of space in my room. I like having a deck with a table and four chairs. I like that they have a bathtub.

I didn’t like that they charge an extra fee if you check in early or if you check out late. They do not have an elevator .

The room was very comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect - close to beach and beachwalk, coffee, restaurants, etc. The breakfast was more than adequate - delicious waffles and oatmeal! The only inconvenience we had was lukewarm water in the shower. The staff offered to move us next door, but we decided to stay where we were. Rio Sands is a great value!

You can not beat the location. Parking is always wonderful, they do not overbook. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. They have a beautiful pool and spa. We LOVE their breakfasts! A wonderful start for the day. Rooms are always clean and feel like a home away from home.

I have no complaints.

Super convenient location to the beach and a couple of good restaurants and convenience store. Easy on site parking easy access to the freeway. convenient breakfast down the hall, although, very basic.

other guests speaking loudly in the morning right outside our window. Might be nice if they had some signs posted to keep voices down outside of other guest rooms. Our nightstand light was not able to be turned on due to broken knob.

We booked for a wrestling tournament, The manager was super kind and accommodating. Breakfast is served latter than most places, that's a bummer. However with communication with the manager she did open up breakfast an hour earlier for us! breakfast is minimal compared to most. Room was clean and inviting. great location.
