The room was clean and very nice, however be prepared for beds that are quite high. Breakfast offered a good selection of foods and even offered a couple of things that I could eat. It was open early for a Sunday morning and the clerk at check-in indicated, since I said I would be leaving early, that if it was not open to come to the desk and they should be able to open it for me to pick up something to go. The parking lot was very well lit.

The location is surrounded by the every present Sacramento "unhoused population" so be careful if you miss the turn into the parking lot. Your car gps will bring you back along the back street where the unhoused are actually living well into the streets and not just along the frontage.

The best breakfast! Everything worked, very good bur very unusual in a motel. Spacious and well presented. Excellent value.

Key card readers on 2 of the external doors were malfunctioning.

The location was perfect for me since I had a medical procedure done at the hospital. The price was far less than I could have paid at the 2 motels on the hospital campus. This motel is not a franchise. It was better than the Hyatt I stayed at the night before! I had better customer service, quality carpeting in the room, the bathroom fixtures were quality made. The Hyatt had newer fixtures but they felt cheap and the faucet was coming out of the fitting. The bed was comfortable. The room was large. The breakfast was much better than the Hyatt. The continental breakfast is much more than pastries. They have freshly boiled eggs, yogurt, a variety of dairy and non dairy creamer, fresh waffles that the hostess makes for you, fruit, cereals, oatmeal, and pastries. Juices and coffee! It's quite and comfortable. Yes, the homeless are present but much less than near the hospital campus. I will continue to come back here! I enjoyed my stay immensely.

The majority of the staff is friendly and helpful. Bessie, who runs the continental breakfast, is a delight and an inspiration! The room was spacious and clean and had everything I needed.

The neighborhood is a bit noisy, and I didn't see any nice places to eat nearby. However, on the back side of the hotel is a large parking lot for what I gather are government fleets. That side of the property is quite quiet at night. I recommend requesting that side. I was able to order delivery, which was good both times. My biggest complaint is that the hotel shuttle was almost never available. I ended up using Uber/Lyft a lot, which made the affordable price of the room much less economical.

The staff person in charge of the breakfast service was outstanding. Not only did she stand just outside the door to the dining area to make sure we, the guests, found it, but she created a beautiful arrangement with the fruit selections! The hot tub and patio area were nice, and the hot tub was a good temperature. The shuttle service was handy. I only wish I had known about it sooner (e.g., from the train station, not just the airport) so I didn't pay for a Lyft ride. The hotel is a bit far from all of the activities I was in Sacramento for, so transportation to/from was essential.

When I made my reservation, I included a note for more information about the shuttle. I don't believe I received a response. Once there, the front desk person was kind enough to call a taxi for me, when Uber and Lyft weren't options. The taxi service took a very long time to arrive, which was probably out of the hotel's control. It would have been nice to have a bathtub in the room, but I understand this may have been the result of water conservation efforts on the part of the hotel, which I support.

We liked that it was clean, beds were comfy (medium firmness), AC wasn't too loud, staff was responsive to our messages and requests, and there was a breakfast though mostly just pastries, cereal and oatmeal. It was pretty close to the freeway, airport, restaurants and riverfront but pretty quiet at night. There was a round-like outdoor pool but didn't get to try it.

Wished there were blackout curtains as our room was quite bright early morning facing east. Wished there was less plastic waste for the free breakfast (i.e. they used single serving disposable cups to measure out the waffle batter, styrofoam bowls, and individually Ziploc wrapped pastries when people can use tongs, napkins/plates.

SMF airport is not well marked. Taxis, Ubers, and hotel shuttles all park on the side of the building and wait for you to find them. This is an older hotel with huge rooms which has been very well maintained and is very clean. We appreciated the 40 inch television and superior cable channels. The French shutters did an excellent job of keeping out the morning sun. We were in one of the back rooms where it was extremely quiet. Breakfast was a large selection of cold foods, plus waffles. This is a family run hotel and everyone was friendly. The price point was great. We arrived in a storm and the room heater quietly kept us warm all night. There is a McDonald's and Dennys next door. The bed and fluffy pillows were so comfortable that we stayed an extra night. This will be our go-to place in the future.

real orange juice at breakfast would have been nice.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic, and a big part of that was thanks to Jolene at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Jolene greeted us with a warm smile and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. She was incredibly helpful with , offered great local recommendations, and made sure we had everything I needed. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with top-notch amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable. Jolene attentiveness and professionalism truly elevated my experience. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning!
