My husband and I loved staying at this hotel for our Thanksgiving trip. The room was newly renovated, exceptionally clean, and spacious. The bed, sofa, and dining chairs were all very comfortable. The Thanksgiving breakfast was of good quality and tasted great, especially considering it was a complimentary hotel breakfast. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchenette, which we made good use of during our stay. The location was fantastic—situated right next to a beautiful water body with a lovely walking and running path. It was also conveniently located, within a 20- to 30-minute drive to all major tourist attractions.

Sounds of airplanes from the nearby airport but you hardly hear it with balcony door closed.

We stayed in the newly renovated family suite. It was amazing. Every facility possible with the small kitchen. There was a sitting room with pull out bed and two bedrooms, both ensuite. Complimentary breakfast also. Our flight was delayed so the free shuttle was not running but the hotel refunded us $30 dollars towards the taxi.

The only thing I didn't like which is a tiny thing is that the bigger bedroom hears all the noise because the door is sliding one so not cut off from the central sitting room. But this is because the room is wheelchair accessible.

The property was centrally located, lots of restaurants, nearby. Close to the airport. The property was clean, the staff was welcoming and the free breakfast was pretty good, nice variety, healthy options. Nice water view, and beautifully manicured grounds.

The furnishings in the room were a bit worn, and outdated. The kitchen area was updated, but the stainless refrigerator was dinged up, the bathroom was very outdated, and the mattress was thin and in desperate need of replacement. The night stands and cabinets in the room were in need of replacement, as well. There were no USB ports, But I was able to borrow a converter from the front desk.

The situation of the hotel was ideal, by the water and within a parkland setting. It was surprisingly quiet most of the time. At night there was some noise from the airport but it wasn't too obtrusive. The nearby children's play area was a bonus. The pool was useful and the spa very pleasant. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. The hotel decor was clean, tasteful and modern.

Nothing was wanting.

Upon arrival Kelly at the front desk was super helpful in getting us a shuttle from the airport and helped us out with any questions or issues that we had. The location was a great family spot, we could walk to several shops, eateries and felt safe around the property. We enjoyed the hot breakfast and coffee each morning (fruit, waffles, eggs, sausage, toast). The room was fully stocked with utensils and dishes in the kitchen area. Outdoor propane grills were also available, just ask the front desk for bbq utensils. This place was basically a home away from home.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, the place was very clean.

Rooms were good and kept clean, breakfast was good with a nice different daily selection and the staff was amazing, always helpful and very polite!

The amount of gnats during breakfast was a little annoying. TV was an issue, one room had better channel selection than the other and a lot of the channels were not available.

Great location, great staff. We were there 6 nights. We had a beautiful view as well. The Wednesday Happy hour was a nice touch. Kids and husband enjoyed the breakfast every morning. We loved being able to ride our bikes to liberty station for dinner, and the staff was super accommodating with storing them for us.

I did expect to see some homeless in the area, but, was a bit surprised at how many were around. We also had one of our bikes stolen at Balboa Park. The cable lock had been cut. If you bring bikes, be sure to invest in the metal U hook locks…..and take your helmets with you, too, instead of leaving them with your bikes. Obviously, this was no fault of the hotel, what so ever. Just a word to the wise. We enjoyed Homewood Suites

My family absolutely loved this hotel. Perfect for family. The room was very clean and cozy, the beds are extremely comfortable, we all slept like babies. The hotel amenities are thee best we’ve ever had at any other hotel. The breakfast that is included in your stay was delicious and the kids and I loved making our waffles, I also liked that they change up the menu everyday. They also offer complimentary drinks and snacks or soup and salad during the week, I most def enjoyed my complimentary sangria and beer while the kids enjoyed their lemonade and snacks or soup. The patio area is charming and very clean with an amazing view, and the pool area the kids loved. The pool is not freezing and I believe is temperature controlled. Bottom line is…… we are planning to come back. So if you’re looking for a good stay give this hotel a go.

Homewood Suites has a great location. It's near International Airport, also it's close to Downtown . Moreover, they have a park around with a coastal view. I liked their amenities such as a heated pool and jacuzzi, kitchen in suite, various hot breakfast included.
