no breakfast included but i like the style of the appartments and they are mostly very clean

check in is always little difficult bc my payment never arrives evend i paid . so i cant use the key app, this is second time. First time i meet very friendly cleaning personal who support me get in my room without the app. This time i felt little helpless, and not so welcome to get my keys. Netwerk was low so i didnt understand instruction for me also english is not my mother language, at the call and the Room service woman also seemed little annoyed of my try to get the keys. At the end she called but she seemed less amused. thatsvsad because i really like the rooms

I stayed there for 5 nights. The location is great. Hayes street is a very nice street. The rooms are cozy with cute furniture and sheets. It was really convenient that even though the bathrooms were shared, there was a wash basin in the room. The shared kitchen area was also very helpful and felt very cozy. Loved also the old houses experience of SF. The staff was also helpful. I had few problems with my room at first ( tv not working and hairdryer was broke) that the cleaning ladies helped me with them the next morning. However there is no one else in the hotel if you need help after the working hours of cleaning ladies.

The shared bathroom, didn’t have a wash basin inside the bathroom and only hand sanitizer. It was weird for me and also inconvenient. Since its a shared bathroom and bathtub, I think it is better if at least the shower was cleaned twice a day on weekends. If you showered later in day it wasn't pleasant. The hotel was really clean. But in the room the detergent smell was so strong that sometimes it bothered. My room’s window was also opened to something like an engine room or air ventilator; most of the time there was a loud noise. I wasn't in the room much and you may get used to the noise but it got annoying sometimes. Also since I was staying alone in the room, at the time of booking, I was expecting different price for one person vs two.

The hotel is located near the central area of San Francisco. It's quite convenient with lots of stores and restaurants around, while the neighbourhood is peaceful day and night. They allow us to check-in as soon as the room is ready, as well as they have a small luggage storage with lock we can use before check-in. Although the hotel is unmanned, the system is easy to use and we had no difficulties. Also, the staff is responsive through message. I like the hotel's cute oldish building. The room was clean and well-heated. Wi-Fi was good.

The bouncy bed is not my thing...(This is a matter of personal preference) You have to carry your phone whenever you go outside of the room to unlock the door. I was not very comfortable to bring my phone into the shower room where it might get wet. There seemed to be no water dispenser, but the tap water was drinkable.

Great location. Great old building. We stayed in turret room which has wonderful street views.

There is no front desk worker at the hotel. Check-in was difficult because we couldn't get in the building. They never sent a code to get in and we had to wait for a cleaner to come in the building to let us in. No one answered the number to call left by the front door. Directions about calling in advance should be way clearer, emphasizing that nobody will be there to let you in. Also, the simple breakfast which we really enjoyed on prior visits is no longer a perk and no coffee or anything else.

This is such a great little place in an awesome neighborhood and location. Many things nearby to explore and enjoy. We had the largest room in the hotel and it has a great bay window that we enjoyed sitting in. The common kitchen area is awesome to have at your disposal, too.

It's a little loud, but we used earplugs and didn't have any issues sleeping. People with mobility issues should know that you will need to navigate stairs with your bags.

Beautiful building, nicely decorated and in a lovely neighbourhood. Lots of great bars and restaurants nearby and felt like a safe but lively area to be staying. Also nearby to the Painted Ladies and Haight Ashbury which we enjoyed visiting. We were very pleased with our stay and was handy to have the kitchen facilities.

Nothing really. The kitchen could have been slightly better equipped. Just to note, you need to be able to receive SMS messages to get into your room. I had bought a data-only package so could not receive a text. Thankfully, it worked on my partners phone and the staff responded promptly to my queries.

The location was in walking distance of cultural resources I was interested in and also in a safe neighborhood. Downtown San Francisco has gotten a bit dicey. There were two toilets "down the hall" which were separate from the room with the shower, so there was not a traffic problem with different guests trying to access things at the same time. The maids were very pleasant and helpful, especially if you can speak Spanish. The hotel was able to give me early check-in, which was greatly appreciated because I did the red eye from Honolulu and arrived at 8 AM. I could then rest for most of the morning.

Upon arrival the electronic key was not ready, although I had checked on this the night before I got on the plane. One of the maids called the management and I was able access the electronic key.

Clean, comfortable, great location and good value for money. A steal in San Francisco

The accommodation is located in Hayes Valley neighborhood, full of nice cafes and great restaurants, however, this is really close to Tenderloin neighborhood, infamously known for drug use. The closest two BART stations are quite sketchy during night time and better avoided, better take an Uber/Lyft from the airport. If you are arriving during the day it should be OK but be ready for some walking dead scene on these two stops. I'd still stay there if I were to visit SF again. Bear in mind the hotel has no staff AT ALL so make sure you provide your telephone number and download the app in advance that opens the door. Room is a bit too hot

Great location. Nice neighbourhood. Travelling with my daughter and we always felt safe. Everything you could want within walking distance - restaurants, bars, trader joes. Loved having our breakfast in the kitchen on the 2nd floor - Nice light, open area, clean space. Lots of room for putting our food in the shared fridge. Tea and coffee available and microwave and toaster.

It is above a bar so be prepared for some noise until around midnight. Nothing a pair of earplugs can’t fix.

Ease of check in. And was able to accommodate an early check in. They also have a locked baggage storage they allowed me to use after I checked out since I wasn't leaving town for a few hours. Older building but that's part of the charm.

The walls were a bit thin, plus the light in the hallway was peeking through the door a bit and if you aren't tech savvy you are definitely going to be in trouble. Definitely an old building but it's part of the charm.
