The staff was super nice and the entire hotel was super clean! I had an Airbnb booked with a super host and when I arrived that night, there were bugs and debrief all over the bed pillow. I was panicking and nervous to stay in a hotel because of this and when this happened panicking because it was 11pm and I needed 4 nights in that area. Not easy mid summer time. This staff was above and beyond nice and helpful. There was a guy at the desk, who when I told him I was deaf and didn't have my hearing aids in, he spoke to me in sign language. Although I do not speak sign language (working on it), it was insanely kind of him to connect in this way. Seriously, your staff is awesome.

Legit the only negative thing I have to say is that the office area does not work. The computer keyboards are broken and nothing allows you to search or print. I had to go to UPS down the road to pay for a one page paper to be printed. I think a 4 star hotel should have their office work area space that's available to guests actually in working condition. The computers are on, the mouse works, but the keyboard does not. Same thing on both computers.

The hotel was pleasantly situated in a redwood picturesque suburban neighborhood near the Santa Cruz 17 Highway as well among a multitude of local convenience stores/restaurants. It was certainly adequate & suitable for our overall travel purposes. The bathroom was spacious and the oversized pillows were dreamy. Parking was easy, although there was a charge.

We had to take two separate elevators to arrive to our room location. Eventually, we bypassed the main lobby & found an alternative way. Like other hotels in the area, the rates during our weekend stay were through the roof due to the UC Santa Cruz graduation/commencement (which was also the purpose of our visit). It was extremely difficult to justify spending a rate that was 3x (or greater) what the hotel typically charges during most other times.

I always look for a good looking hotel, this hotel ticked all the boxes. Not only was it pretty to look at but it was in an excellent location for us. Our room was clean & comfortably and very quiet, particularly as we were on the ground floor right next to the car park. The food was great, the staff were friendly and polite. I would like to give a “huge” shout out to Nicola, she served us twice in the evening and one breakfast, she was extremely efficient and always had a smile on her face and made time to talk to us, she was the nicest person we met in our whole 3 week vacation. Thank you Nicola.

The only small improvement for our stay would be a bigger pool and seating area. Whenever we tried to sit by the pool it was full with no seats left.

rooms were very modern, clean and comfortable

I overheard a couple trying to check in a bit after their check in time and they were sadly told that their room was not available yet. They needed a shower before going to a wedding & the customer service rep was not very helpful in finding them a room to be able to get ready in time for the wedding. Finally he called for his manager and I do not know what the outcome was. It looked like a very frustrating situation that the hotel should not have allowed to happen. Their room should have been ready in time and if that was impossible then they should have been given an opportunity to use a different room.

Staff was very nice. The management called booking dot com to clear up an issue with the credit card on file. When booking dotcom took my reservation, it was on my old card that was ready to expire. So when we got there the card I presented was a new card. The manager called booking dot com and fixed the issue. We were happy to be allowed to go to our room early, too. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was very accessible which was nice since I sometimes use my wheelchair to get around. And we really liked the location up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was lovely.

The updated room was excellent and clean. The bed and furniture was comfortable. The TV was large and the Dish streaming was 4k.The bathroom was updated and clean. The location was close to everything. All restaurants and shops are mere minutes away. Besides the usual fast food joints in town, there are 3 Starbucks and 1 Peets coffee houses in town for you java junkies. Santa Cruz Boardwalk and beaches are 15 minutes away on Hwy 9. Hiking and biking trails in the Santa Cruz Mountains are 15 minutes away. Just a great stay at this Scotts Valley Hilton! Can't wait to come back!

One negative and the only negative is the 2 hour refrigerator. How can we keep our perishables refrigerated when we aren't in the room

We did not know breakfast was available at the location until the last day. Would have been great to know but I forgot to ask about it when checking in.

The bathroom had an issue with toilet rocking and the lamp had a stain that looked like blood which was off putting as my kids were in the room. The pool was great. If their were more luggage carts for the top floor by the pool

Liked gym and hot tub the most. Comfortable bed with good blackout curtains to let us sleep in a little on our vacation days.

The Toilet made a loud wining noise when flushed. We didn’t like That the parking and breakfast was not complimentary. The room was nice however, next time we will probably book where these items are included in the price.

Pool was about 68' and spa easily 105'. Glad the restaurant was there for a quick dinner. Food was good. They have a happy hour at the bar also. Comfortable room. Good coffee in room.

The freezer needs defrosting. I waited over 30 minutes in the lobby for a luggage transport cart and the staff was summoned to gather them up from the various floors so others could use. How selfish of other patrons to not return the carts promptly! A call was made to the desk to get help with the TV which needed a new remote. Housekeeping can't check this? Will the towel bar in room 201 ever be replaced? It is split and broken.

The stay at the Hilton was fine.

The Booking.com confirmation did NOT go through to the hotel! The Booking.com phone and online services were extremely unhelpful!! It took over an hour to get the problem resolved. Booking.com was NO help. Luckily the hotel had a room available for us and we were able to complete our stay. I WILL NOT BE USING BOOKING.COM EVER AGAIN! Unbelievably bad service!!!
