I stayed in Cavallo Point for 2 nights in one of their beautiful historic rooms - lovely furnishings and full of character. Arriving here was like reaching a peaceful oasis after a couple of days in hot, noisy, overcrowded, impersonal Las Vegas. The setting is so tranquil and its proximity to the Golden Gate Bridge meant I was easily able to walk the bridge and photograph it from lots of great angles you simply don't get on the San Francisco side. Staff were lovely and one of them, Patrick, even drove me up to Battery Spencer, where you get the iconic view looking down on the bridge with San Francisco in the background. After a busy few weeks travelling, my stay here was just what the doctor ordered! I would certainly love to stay here again should I ever be back in this part of the world.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact I was only staying there for 2 nights - I wish I had been staying for longer.

Location was wonderful. Grounds were diverse with dense woodsy areas, and large grass areas with groomed foliage. Beautiful to look at and hike through. Our dog loved it as well. Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. A unique property for sure with a long history worth learning about. Views of Golden Gate Bridge, and the city of San Francisco from across the bay is a treat that kept on giving each day we were there. Makes for wonderful memorable pictures. We had very good breakfasts and a dinner at the main restaurant, Sula.

Not a real problem but had to park about 100 yards away from room which was the contemporary rooms with view of Bridge. Lot isn’t paved and can get messy when it rains. No ice machine at our block of rooms. Had to have it delivered or stop by main front desk. Loved that there is wildlife on and around the property, but after running into several coyotes lurking near the trails and parking lot, that we had to keep the dog close and on leash. I’m sure that keeping your dog on leash is required, but with so much open space you just want to let them run. Thank goodness for the humongous grass area right in the middle of the property where the dog can run and play with other dogs. Wasn’t able to get into the spa due to it being booked up. This was the week of New Year’s however.

The location is beautiful amongst mature trees and views of the Golden Gate Bridge and bay. Taking the walking tour of the grounds with Brit as our guide was also a highlight as he has a wealth of knowledge to give about the history of the property. We also thoroughly appreciated Patrick for the shuttles to and from Sausalito. He made the drives fun with such great conversation. Everyone on the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and truly exceptional.

What a magical stay. Just one night but I would most definitely go back. Perfect oasis before a work summit in the city. So beautiful and calm. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is super relaxed. We didn't dine in the evening, but the breakfast was delicious and speedy. The shop is also really good with so many nice pieces, including lots of clothing (dangerously good), and very attentive assistants.

The views of Golden gate bridge and San Francisco from Cavallo Point are stunning. The setting, the buildings, the rooms , staff, and restaurant food were all perfect. Drinking the complimentary glass of wine offered between 4pm and 6pm on rocking chairs on the terrace with the most wonderful views was out of this world. I recommend it to everyone.

beautiful quiet setting with Epic views of The Golden Gate bridge. the amenities were superb (electric vintage bikes a must to use!!), Our room was super comfy and cozy. Staff were so accommodating and their customer service was the top!!

Didn’t like the lighting of the first room we were placed in, but staff quickly made changes ♥️

Every Year after a family Thanksgiving with relatives in Mill Valley, we stay at Cavallo Point for a couple of days. Our children live in Chicago, so they are thrilled to experience beautiful weather in a gorgeous place. It’s always a special time in a special place. Thank you for being there!

I can’t think of anything.

Breakfast was fantastic. One morning we sat outside which was such a nice way to begin the day, and the second morning it was chilly so we had breakfast at the cozy bar inside. Our room had a picturesque view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the gas fireplace added a perfect touch of coziness for chilly mornings and evenings.

Rooms could probably use a bit of a refresh when it comes to the furniture, however, it was still super cozy and a really solid and quiet room.

The location was amazing, the room was beautiful, the area is wonderful with lots of terrific hiking, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast situation was not good -- the complimentary breakfast was only coffee and some okay pastries, which were sometimes not available because other people had taken them all and the staff didn't notice that they were out. (It took 15 minutes for new coffee to arrive.) Since that was only coffee and pastries, we tried making a reservation at the restaurant for breakfast, but when we arrived at the restaurant there were no other customers, and we sat down and waited for 10 minutes and no one came to check on us, so we ended up leaving. It was surprising given the high level of service the rest of the time.

views are incredible. rooms are so comfortable. this is my favorite "staycation" hotel. Staff is super helpful and kind.

The location is 15-20 minutes from Sausalito, so if you are feeling lazy, you have to eat at the restaurants on site. The food is good, but pricey.
