This is our second time staying at this hotel and its honestly one of our favorites whenever we are in SJ area. They have a restaurant and bar that we have yet to try but i heard it’s delicious! Their breakfast is the main reason why my boyfriend and I decided to choose this hotel every time. Their #1 item is our go to every morning and they have other little yummy things on the side you can grab. There is an underground garage that can only be opened with the gate card, however, it is $20 per stay. We also love the fact the elevators only work if you tap your room card, which makes us feel more safe. There is a Safeway and Target store 5 minutes away so if there is anything we need, it’s a quick drive. Luckily in our second stay, the lady at the front desk upgraded our room for free which was a surprise :). There was also a hiccup with the free breakfast. According to the lady in charge of serving breakfast said we only had breakfast for one, even though in the booking it said there was 2 guests. She asked for proof of the booking information and she happily fixed that issue for us. It would have been upsetting if either me or my boyfriend didn’t get to have a nice breakfast meal!

Nothing :) place is exceptional

Extremely kind and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms and great location. Good WiFi and streaming on tv which was great. A very short walk or drive to lots of food options, grocery stores, etc. Overall really enjoyed my stay.

Location and modern/new floorplan.

One of the worst breakfasts we ever had. Even much cheaper motels offer better breakfasts. Not a single hot item was available and everything was cold/dry. Even cheap bagels were not available. When asked, sever said bagels were served only after all breads were consumed (never heard of such a rule/excuse). Shame on Marriot for offering such a poor quality breakfast.

The facilities are new and up to date. The staff was helpful and friendly. Ample parking. The location is easy to access.

The bathroom can use a larger counter space. The traffic noise in late evenings can be annoying sometimes. Not the hotel's fault. The noise is mainly from those loud cars and motorcycles that have modified mufflers. It is disappointing that there are always a few every evening.

Housekeeping was always visible and cleaning

My tax exemptions was not accepted for coming to California to a national educators meeting

It was what you expected to see in photos. It was comfortable and clean. It was a good area as well.

Had everything you may need for a leisure stay. Had the basic necessities plus free breakfast and access to the bar at night.

The hotel was clean and smelled amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcomed us home every day. Offering well wishes when we left. Rooms were clean and well kept. Loved the rain shower. The gentleman who helped serve breakfast was exceptional and made us feel appreciated. Loved the decor. Lots of seating in the lobby and outside. Live music one night. Will stay again if we have the chance!

Can't think of anything they could have done better!

Breakfast was fine.

The room had a few leaks in the walls. Also, the shower was leaking. The air conditioner was a bit too loud.

We didn't know it included breakfast so we missed out on that.

We didn't like the lack of a microwave in the room. Who wants to drag their food down 4 floors to use a mini microwave in the lobby? Not us.

Everything ship shape

The only cons were that we had upgraded to a “room with a view” but didn’t receive one. And the specialty coffees are terrible.
