Cute little place, comfry, friendly, and great location - only a block down from 5th and 2 blocks over from Ocean Drive, the start of Lummus park and the main strip of South Beach. Being just off the main streets and in the South Pointe neighborhood meant it was quieter at night, which is nice. The rooms were surprisingly quiet, since many of the old Art Deco buildings can have poor sound insulation, but we slept well. Had all the essentials. Bonus was the free Miami Beach trolley stops right outside, so it's easy to get to anywhere in Miami Beach, and the bus over to/from downtown Miami is just a block up at 5th and Washington Ave.

Jay the receptionist was brilliant. He really made the stay for us. Great location. Comfortable room and bed.

This US ploy to rip off more money by charging a “Resort Fee” needs to stop. It’s clear that it merely allows the property to appear to be better value than it actually is. $30pp/pn. This fee should be added to the price quoted by Booking.com so that people see the real price - not buried in small print way down the screens.

The location is amazing! It's close to everything but in a quiet neighborhood so you can have a peaceful night. Everyone who works there was very accommodating and helpful. Really I love this place! It's a gem in South Beach.

The only thing that is a little bothersome is that the check-in isn't until 3:30?! I just don't understand hotels that don't allow you at least to have 22 hours at the hotel. Check out is at 11:00 and then check in isn't until 3:30?! There's not that many rooms and they clean the rooms very quickly so that would be my only issue. It would have been nice to be able to take a quick nap and then enjoy the rest of my day. But instead I had to wait around till 3:30 and it was just too late to take a nap. And if you want to do an early check-in it's $60! I find that a little offensive. I've done early check-in at really nice hotels before and they never charged me or it was like 20 bucks. $60 is insane!

The hotel is in an excellent location in the Southern part of Miami South Beach - close enough to walk to the lively Ocean Drive, yet far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The room was very spacious and clean, with a great size bed and fresh bedding. The hotel staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. Overall, we were very comfortable at Villa Italia during our stay. In fact, it was our favourite hotel out of five that we stayed in in Florida.

It would be great to have a hotel breakfast available, but then again - as far as we understood, it is not common to have a hotel breakfast in Miami.

The property is convenient to shops, beach, restaurants and is located in a quiet neighborhood with bus stop right in front. The outdoor garden patio with tables is a pleasant place to eat your take-out breakfast or lunch. Our room was nice and also clean - comfortable bed, roomy closet, nice bathroom.

The flooring throughout our room/bathroom was strangely very slippery/slick as if cleaned with a product that created that condition so we needed to wear shoes. The lighting in the room was very dim. A daily "resort fee" was levied for beach umbrellas and loungers that we told management we would not use, and didn't. We were charged anyway. I believe it was approx $30 per day.

I liked the outside sitting area, pleasant and welcoming. The man working the front desk let us stash our luggage behind the desk since we were too early to check in. I really appreciated that! Was thankful I didn't have to walk around with all that for hours until the room was ready! The other lady behind the desk that helped us later on was very kind and helpful

-One of the staff members called me at 1:30 in the morning for some reason...I called them back and the man on the phone said "there is nothing else to say when I asked him why they called at that hour. I had no idea what all that was about. -I booked a room for 2 separate beds and when we arrived at check in they put us in a king bed. I showed the receptionist my booking info and she was able to get it changed but check in took forever. -coffee maker didn't work

The staff at Villa Italia is super friendly, and Evan is so helpful with answering all questions, suggestions for what to do while in South Beach, airport transfer, and so on. The location is absolutely perfect. Get some beach towels from the receptio and take a 5 minute walk to the beach where you get your own umbrella (all included with your stay) There is a free bus stop outside the door of the hotel, which takes you all over South Beach. Could not be happier with our stay

Nothing, everything was good

The location is extremely convenient with plenty of stuff within walking distance and even more through the trolley stop located right next to the courtyard. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, I arrived some hours before check-in and reception let me use their beach gear while waiting. The room was also very pleasant to stay in, very clean and spacious.

While the walls and windows keep the outdoors noise away rather well, the room door does a somewhat poor job of keeping out the noise from the echoing hallway. I didn't encounter any problems during my own stay, but I can see this being aggravating with the "right" kind of neighboring guests. Also note that the $30/pp/day resort fee isn't included in the booking price, you have to pay that separately on the desk.

Property is smaller than on pics but not a bad thing. It’s hardly any rooms/less neighbors/less noise. Super close to beach and restaurants and main drag on Ocean Drive and Collins Ave Coffee in the morning Free glass of wine for happy hour every day We got a king bed and a queen bed and still paid under $200. Plenty of sleeping space Cleaning service every day change of towels making beds super clean Toiletries Mini fridge in the room Big tv Quiet street except few cars at night might wake you up Was lucky with quiet neighbors except one night someone was talking on speaker phone loud at 3 am Easy to regulate ac/heat. Needed both during stay Has a comfortable blanket and couple robes Friendly staff. There are 3 people taking turns but 24//7

Big minus is poor water pressure and no steady hot water. It goes for two mins then running cold. You have to do some tricks to keep it running hot. Again, hard to regulate. Hard to wash my long hair or if you have kids… Resort charges 30$ per person fee for a chair on the beach and umbrella. You can rent it yourself for $15 each so still $45 for a couple. But hotel gives you towels and beach toys for kids. That’s convenient

Such helpful staff, who let us check in early without any extra payment as the villa was ready. Brian helped us with our luggage into the Villa and carried our luggage up the stairs. Such a lovely group of helpful staff. Central to everything and beds and beach towels available at no extra cost on the beach. Plus, our luggage was stored as our returning flight was a late one. Amazing

Nothing, all so lovely and helpful.
