We recently stayed for two weeks at The Local House and I couldn't be more happy with our stay. I can't say enough positive things about the hotel and the restaurant. It is situated on the prominent Ocean Drive just accross the beach and close to really everything (top restaurants, 10' walk to South Pointe, 5' drive to Lincon St). The hotel is decorated in a boho-coastal style making it charming and cosy, the environment and decor gives a great vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and supernice. The food at the restaurant was just iconic and delicious, and on top it's healthy and fresh. The signature cocktails were to die for, very well balanced. Big fan here of 'I’m Feeling Pine Today' drink. I highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant! We had a great experience overall!

Just back from a seven night stay at The Local House - we will return, need I say more. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Food and drinks divine, in a very relaxed environment. Happy hour each night and daily food/drink specials. The roof top pool was very relaxing and more often than not we were the only people there. Enough seating/beds by the pool for all as well. One block back from the beach, just cross the road and that's you on South Beach, free use of umbrellas, beds and beach towels. A great place to relax and people watch in the evening, with a great ambiance and play list. We cant wait to return.

Our only flaw was the cranky old lift!! :) Cannot fault the hotel any further.

My stay at The Local House Hotel was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the service and hospitality exceeded my expectations. A special thank you to Eddy, the Front Desk Manager, for his professionalism and genuine kindness — he made sure every detail of my stay was perfect. Katherine, the General Manager, leads the hotel with such warmth and care, creating a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. And Amarilis, our amazing server, added a special touch with her friendly attitude and attentive service. This hotel perfectly captures the spirit of South Beach — stylish, comfortable, and full of heart. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miami.

-Very big and clean room -Very comfortable king size bed -Amazing staff -Great location (walking distance from the beach, restaurants, stores) -Good wifi connection -Partial view of the sea -Very quiet room -Swimming pool in the terrace -Cozy room, nice decoration -Although the reception isn't open 24h, they were very flexible with my late check-in after 10 pm and early check-out at 5 am

-Shower can be a little trick to find the right temperature -Valet service works really well, but sometimes it's a bit annoying to have to call for the car every time and then wait - It would be very convenient for me to eat at the restaurant downstairs, if they had any vegan options on the menu

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful boutique hotel. Gorgeous decor and ideally situated from the noise further down Ocean Drive. The beach was across the road where The Local House have a deal with the beach chair rentals where you can have 2 beds and parasol free! That is a great saving. There is a rooftop pool which although shallow is fab, so relaxing, loved it. If you have young children, it is very safe All staff were so friendly, we had many conversations with bar staff which helped make our holiday experience even more enjoyable.

There was nothing we didn’t like

We experienced The Local House as a beautiful, charming, modern and creatively decorated smaller hotel on Ocean Drive itself. You get the best location here with the South Beach only a stonethrow away (1 minute walk) and loads of restaurants and bars down the street. The staff was excellent and outstandigly friendly and helpful! Our room was on the top floor, spacious, very clean and cosy, the bed was very comfortable - we had the best sleep here! To top it off, there was a nice rooftop pool and chillout area. We had a fantastic time and will definitely book this hotel again next time we visit Miami.

A really nicely designed little boutique hotel in a quieter end of Ocean Drive. The rooftop pool was a great place to relax, even though the water was pretty warm so not quite the respite from the heat we thought it might be. The concierge who met us on check in was wonderful.

As it’s a small hotel, there isn’t the level of service you might expect. If you want ice for your room, you have to get it from the restaurant downstairs yourself and the same is true for drinks or food you wish to have on the rooftop lounge area. The daily housekeeping also only seemed to make the beds and change the towels which meant the floor of our room was pretty gross by the end of our 5 night stay. I had expected a little more for the price of the room.

This is an amazing hotel. It is very comfortable and nicely decorated. The rooftop is amazing, and we had it for ourselves most of the time. Loved that we had complimentary beds and umbrellas at the beach. The staff was also super nice. We loved our stay!

The deposit of 100 USD per night and per room seemed a bit unreasonable, especially for families (we had two rooms). They should consider charging per stay, and not per number of nights.

The room was spacious, clean, and had two balconies. The rooftop pool and deck was beautiful. The staff were all very friendly. The food and drinks in the restaurant were very good

The parking was a little confusing. Be sure to use their valet parking. We weren't told about it and parked in a very expensive lot nearby. The owner felt bad that we weren't told about it and gave us breakfast vouchers which was very nice of her.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel, just on South Beach but still very quiet at night, very close by foot to everything! They also have chairs for free at the beach, just in front, you can walk to the South Pointe Park and see the big cruise ships and the cherry on the top is the restaurant at The Local House that has the best food! We also ate at other restaurants around but the food at the Local House is just soo delicious!! And great people working there we loved everybody ... this made it a special place for us :) Thank you!
