Prime location 16 or 18 floors up. Like being a camera in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Stunning view of Downtown Skyscrapers and Chicago river below. Walking distance of much of downtown. Only 5-10 minutes walk to Subway and city buses. Staff were efficient. A light bulb was out. They replaced it swiftly. Typical hotel breakfast buffet - like most hotels not amazing, but not bad. Plenty of choices cooked and fresh. Super helpful and attentive staff at breakfast, and wow! What views from the breakfast tables! We loved the swimming pool on the 15th or 16th floor. All in all, clean, comfortable.

Only reason it's a 9 and not a 10, is this: could have done with a tiny bit more space in the room. Or get rid of one of the armchairs. And there was an issue with a few drops of water leaking onto the floor when the washbasin was full. We just put an empty trash bin under it, and it stopped as soon as the washbasin emptied. So maybe some infrastructure needs updating. But all in all, hotels downtown in 2025 often ask for $350+ per night, and yes, it's all pricey, but given the going rates we got a good deal. It was a good 3 night stay.

Great location and facilities like restaurant, bar, 24/7 store, swimming pool, and gym. I got a latte and pistachio ricotta pie from the 24/7 store, and they were delicious. We booked a room with a city view and had an amazing sight of the buildings and river. Helpful staff - the room next door started playing loud music at 1-2 AM; I called the front desk, and they sent security up to resolve it within 10 minutes. The 15th floor had a direct view of the New Year Fireworks, so we did not have to go outside. The room and bathroom were clean. We only stayed for one night, so overall, it was a positive experience.

Some guests were sitting on the corridor of my floor, talking, drinking, and charging their devices, which was not a pleasant sight. Our next-door neighbors did not abide by the quiet hours (which were included in the check-in form). The bed was OK.

We were traveling via Amtrak to multiple cities. Our first stop, Chicago for the Cubs vs. Yankees series and then on to other points west after that. The Staff at this hotel is SUPERIOR! Lorena, Juan, Ignacio, Lena, and everyone we interacted with were attentive, helpful, and working their butts off. Hotel Management, your team all deserve a huge Thank You every day. We watched this team seamlessly handle a wedding party, a packed bar/restaurant, and a huge influx of Yankee/Cubs fans flawlessly. The hotel is conveniently located near Union Station, the River Walk, and transportation. The views from our room were breathtaking especially at sunset. We WILL be coming back to Chicago for more Cubs games and we WILL be booking this hotel. Thank you, Lorena, Juan, Ignacio, Lena and everyone for make our stay so much fun with our interactions with you!!! We are looking forward to seeing you again!

The price and location, great value for money. Spa and gym opening hours with sufficient equipment. Decent common areas and friendly staff.

Little things Not very clean; smelly and dirty corridors. Also the gym and pool weren’t properly cleaned and there was some residue in the water. Ice machine didn’t work The cleaning staff also failed to make the beds properly

Breakfast choice was excellent and the quilt good. Waiting on staff very attentive but ''not in your face'' Rooms very good although the shower could do with a little more power in the water supply. Reception was easy and the check in procedure was without a hitch. Nicole on Reception checked us in with absolutely no issues and she as polite and informative.

Amazing location very clean facility very walkable to all of the city and safe! Tons of great coffee and food nearby in under 10 minute walk.

The shower head had very minimal pressure and if you stay on the 16th floor on the corner we were at two of the hallways smell very strongly of pool and chlorine

The room was clean and the staff were awesome. The market on site was expensive but helpful to have. The staff was helpful and allowed us to check in early.

It was closer to the business district than any cool downtown hangout. I bit expensive for what you got, especially after seeing rates in town after I had already booked. Did not offer a compensation program for loyalty spending at the IHG market. Unusual for a hotel not to offer an incentive to buy in their hotel. Bar hours were limited and the buffet was way too expensive. I was told on the phone the buffet was included, was surprised to see a $50 bill.

Wow. Holiday Inn had a glow up! I was in town for work and I worked from my room for most of the stay and my colleagues thought my room was a zoom background! I really enjoyed the room, the coffee, the snacks, and close it was to the Mart and then to all the great food in the Fulton district.

I kept getting confused about the guest room elevator.

Great location, 20 minutes walk from Michigan Ave and Millennium Park. Some good views from the the bedroom. Modern bar area, great for meet-ups.

The decor in the room was a little dated. Didn't like the shower curtain in the path (I prefer a glass panel). TV options weren't great, no casting option.

Location, the room was big and comfortable, the view from the bar was beautiful and the decor was lovely

The shower had low pressure & took a long time to warm up, the bar turned the lights off when we were sat in it despite opening times till 12pm (I was 10pm)
