The hotel is in a excellent location, near restaurants, Riverwalk, Eataly . The bedroom and bathroom was very clean. The fee to use the parking in cheaper than other hotels.

In the bedroom you will hear the sound of cars on the street during the night. It is not possible to adjust the temperature inside the bedroom. In my case it was very hot inside the bedroom and It was necessary to open the window.

The accommodation was well appointed for a short stay, and the staff were wonderful. Whenever there were any questions, they were very happy to reply in a very short turnaround time. The motel itself is very convenient with located, and for those who have cars there is parking. We found it easy to walk to many locations, including public transit. It was a great day! Thanks to Hector and all the other wonderful staff that helped us on our stay!

Not necessarily a dislike, but we found the air-conditioning a bit too cool. But the staff were very happy to accommodate us and adjust the settings. All in all, some people may prefer the cooler settings.

The location was absolutely perfect. I felt like it was in the middle of everything and I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. Especially to food spots. Never had to walk more than 5 mins for food. Especially if it’s your first time in Chicago and wanna try the specific Chicago foods (Italian beef, pizza, hot dogs). The room was sooooooo clean. The room was awesome. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had the best mirror. It was absolutely perfect for selfies.

I couldn’t find a thermostat so my room was just cold the entire time. Which isn’t entirely a problem because after all the walking and sweating I did, the cool air was nice. When booking it said my room would have a view. The view was an alley lol. Not terrible but it wasn’t what I expected and it actually made me laugh. There were guests screaming and talking at 5am and as soon as I called the front desk, someone was there to solve the problem immediately. It was quiet then. So not so much a property issue but a guests issue.

It was very clean and comfortable. The girl at the front desk (I am so sorry that I didn’t get her name) was so helpful with all of the ways to get around town to see what we wanted to see. It was within close walking distance to everything and if not, the front desk helped us figure out how to get there. If you’re not all about the skyscrapers and being directly in the loop, this is the place to stay. I would definitely stay again!

Nothing! It was great. You don’t get to adjust the temperature of your room because it is all on one thermostat, but we were comfortable the whole time.

Loved the location because it was around the corner from my event, other restaurants and night life points of interest. Being able to park in front of the room was a super big plus. Millery, the office check-in person was the most knowledgeable and receptive person that I've ever encountered at any check-in point. Management should understand that employees like her can make or break businesses...Millery is certainly a keeper!!! I was looking for a safe place in a super location with free parking, super clean rooms with modern features and Ohio House worked for me.

Of course as travellers, we should understand that a motel in the middle of a big city is not going to be sound proof, so bring earplugs. Lastly, parking spaces are small but it still was better than always trying to find parking. No bottled water...all rooms should have bottled water.

This was a fantastic location for me. Honestly, for the price—though it was nothing fancy—it was clean and conveniently located. The ability to walk to so many great spots was a huge plus. Easily accessible & affordable parking on-site was a bonus. I enjoyed the staff who were very accommodating. Traveling alone, I still felt safe and slept comfortably. I would absolutely stay there again. Honestly though, I simply needed a place to rest my head and park overnight so I can't comment on specific amenities like how consistently hot the shower was or if the breakfast was good since it wasn't included in my budget stay.

Very few extras on site but there is access to everything within walking distance. It was a bit loud at times given the location but I expected that in the heart of the city. I am not a light sleeper and wasn't there over a weekend so that might be more of a consideration for another kind of traveler.

Great location in the downtown area, L station and bus stops nearby, plenty of restaraunts, bars, convenience stores, fast food etc nearby. Spacious room with a comry, albeit high up sized king size bed, reasonably sized fridge, microwave, 'kettle' (aka 'coffee machine', not boiling hot but sufficiently hot but only had coffee satchets so BYOTB if you prefer tea)), safe, iron and decent sized bathroom. A/C was centrally controlled but was very welcome during the heatwate week I was there. (tip: you can close off the vent via a slider switch if it gets too cold). You can also request it be turne dup or down. Front desk staff were every friendly and helpful

Bit pricey for what it was ... a motel, (i.e no breakfast) but no where is cheap in downton Chicago

Great location in the downtown, close to everything: Chicago city center, shops, restaurants etc. Location is indeed fabulous, you can walk by foot everywhere. Right beside the motel are Target, big McDonalds with early breakfast options, few very nice bars and food places. Clean, comfortable beds. Iron, larger safebox, microwave in the room.

It is exactly what reviews claim it to be: clean nice but old fashioned motel. The rooms and bathroom are quite small and basic. The TV has only cable channels & those are not working well. Yet there are all the necessary basics. We've had a corner room on the 2nd floor, and it was additionally noisy at night from the street (turns out Chicago citizens like to drive around at night listening to music as loud as possible). Some minor, but less pleasant things were also that the floor in our room was a bit squeaky. The stairs were narrow, and no elevator, so I had some difficulties getting 2 large suitcases up the stairs. The coffee & drip coffee machine, as well as microwave were provided, but no tea, water, or utensils.

The Ohio House Motel is very lovely! It's a very small property, but a good place to stay if you're just staying overnight and you don't need to stay in a fancy hotel with all the amenities. For us, we stayed because we were attending Lollapalooza and just needed somewhere to stay while attending the festival. A double bedroom is small, but gets the job done if you are going to be out and about all day and not staying in your room. They have cleaning services that come around once a day to clean.

One thing I would warn you about is room walls are very thin and you can hear everyone walking around outside your motel room. At night, you are at street level (of course) so you'll have to get used to sleeping with the sounds of the city right outside your window. I would recommend bringing Melatonin with if you are a light sleeper.

Central location, with reasonably priced parking. A few blocks to the El, and less for many bus routes. The rooms are not always huge but are very well fitted out with everything one needs, and very clean. The new deli/cafe in the building is a great place for breakfast and the only thing needed to complete the package. The staff is uniformly smart and helpful. We're repeat clients and will continue to be when in Chicago.

There're no cons as such. Their staff, their refurbishments throughout and the deli have made this an unbeatable proposition in downtown Chicago
