The building is centrally located near grocery stores, shops, cafes, and pharmacies. The apartment was ample in size and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and well suited for extended stays, like ours. We appreciated having a well functioning washer/dryer, which is essential for a longer stay. The Sonder app worked well in communicating requests to Sonder HQ, and they responded promptly and were accommodating.

The blind in the living room did not effectively block the hot afternoon sun from warming up the room, despite turning the heat off. Though requests were accommodated, communication between different Sonder HQ staff and also between them and local staff in the building could have been more efficient. In the end, though, all issues were successfully resolved.

A small but comfortable apartment for two people. Good size bathroom with amenities. Plenty kitchen space and basic utensils plus a few tea bags and coffee sachets. Could have done with some cupboard space for clothing - there was only a hanging rail. Unfortunately the apartment faced the road and building across the road. We had to keep the blinds drawn for privacy and the overnight road noise was dreadful at times, especially at the weekend. We also experienced an annoying recurring internal sound, which woke us up at night. Customer service was via the Sonder app and it was actually really effective. Staff provided a white noise machine and ear plugs, and they sent someone to fix the heat pump which had been causing the internal noise. The location was very convenient with plenty restaurants nearby. There was an Amazon grocery store two blocks away and also a Whole Foods Market. Our favourite nearby restaurant for breakfast was called Tari, a Kazakh place, with lovely fresh food and delicious coffee.

The apartment is perfectly located for exploring the city with its nice restaurants, museums and comedy bars. The check-in was easy, all information necessary provided; the house and surrounding area seemed safe. The apartment is as beautiful as on the pictures, great view, modern equipment, comfortable beds. It was nice to have two bathrooms with showers, one bed is in a separate bedroom, one is in a half-detached room in the living area, which was great for our stay. Kitchen is equipped with all appliances you'd need including very nice coffee. Huge fridge and washing machine/dryer available for anyone who plans a longer stay. Can only recommend staying here!

As it is located in the city center you can here some street noises, if you're sensitive to that.

Staff, location, cleanliness were top notch. Someone was always cleaning or maintaining the property. They were super nice and helpful. That was a pleasant surprise. The location was great! Easy access to buses and trains. Felt like we were downtown but far enough from the chaos to be peaceful. We felt very safe. Loved the location! The apartment was very clean and well stocked. As a matter of fact, it felt almost new. Silverware and dishes seemed new. Nicely styled. Big windows.

The air conditioning was weird. Not enough in the bedroom, too much in the living room. My mum says it was “like a hurricane” on the living room couch. Bed was supposed to be a Queen but we barely fit on it. (We are not large people). It seems the shape of the mattress top is rounded, so the edges weren’t useable. I had to sleep on the couch then we had to add pillows next to the bed to extend it the other nights.

Beautiful, modern and spacious with great city views.

I love services like Sonder, where Arrh-BeenBi comfort/value of a kitchen-equipped apartment meets the reliability and formality of working with a company, not a homeowner personally. Property was very clean, pretty spacious for a studio, conveniently located near restaurants and Walgreens / Whole Foods. Nice brand for toiletry amenities (Davines)! Great communication via Sonder app, clear instructions, easy access. A really great stay!

It would have been great to have some extra amenities — I personally missed toothpaste and shower cap. But that's a pretty small thing and Walgreens is just around the corner, so really nothing much to complain about, I loved the stay.

Perfect location in downtown, not too far of a walk to anywhere and also not too far/expensive for Ubers. Walgreens right next door. Few luggage storage spaces however they were very handy and easy to use as self check out as we had a late flight home

The air conditioning wouldn’t work properly. The room was lovley and warm however it was a bit stuffy at times and we were unsure how to set it exact.

I really liked the size, the amenities, the fact that it wasn’t a hotel and where it was located. And I always felt safe!

Street noise was prevalent (an altercation one night around 3am), but that’s part of the "charm" of Chicago. And I always felt safe!

Great location and a roomy and modern apartment. 15 minute walk to the river and surrounded by well known sites of Chicago - portillos is literally just around the corner and a target and walgreens are both within a 5 minute walk!

Some room for more cleaning. Our couch was covered in hair (not ours!) upon arrival. Upon leaving I stripped the bed to help the cleaners - but was met with hairs from other guests on the under sheet :( some more cleaning would be great!

Excellent location for walking to lakefront, Michigan Ave Shopping, River North restaurants, and groceries. Easy quick access to I-90. Access to building was easy and safe.

Bedrooms were small with small double beds. Sitting room did not have sufficient comfortable chairs. For the price, the towels should have been better than meh, and a box of kleenex would have been appreciated. The apartment is next to McDonald's flagship restaurant, so there is a fair amount of activity and noise in the immediate area.
