The location is ideal. Overall, there’s not much to complain about. The room was in a good condition, and the staff, both in the hotel and the restaurant, were very friendly and attentive.

There are a few minor issues. The mattress was too soft, possibly due to age, which made it feel like a hammock. The carpet in the room tends to trap dirt, giving it a "well-worn" appearance. The desk and the bedside table were covered in dust and stains left by previous occupants. While the bathroom design is visually appealing, it lacks functionality—there's no place to hang wet towels. It seems the focus was on aesthetics rather than practicality. Overall, these aren’t deal-breakers, but the hotel has much more potential.

We loved it! Super clean, friendly staff, housekeeping was super on it everyday. Location was good, lovely restaurants around and nice and safe. Boutique style, modern but brilliantly quiet we didn’t hear any neighbours except in the hallway.

Small thing but if you sell wine you need wine glasses in the room not just cheapie plastic cups!! The T is a bit of a walk but it’s a nice neighbourhood to walk, we’d absolutely stay again for the value for money :)

Bed: The beds at the Aloft Hotel are known for their comfort. The king room I had featured a plush mattress and high-quality bedding to ensure a great night's sleep. The rooms was designed with a focus on providing a cozy and comfortable sleeping environment, which is essential for a pleasant stay.

I enjoyed the location it was close to so much. It was walking distance to most of the restaurants that I wanted to visit. The bed was comfortable.

I wish the room was a little bigger.It was very compact. The sheets did have stains that looked like they just couldn't come out. They did change them for us.

All the staff was nice. The restaurant attached to the lobby was great!

More light in the hallways and by the elevators. Info on what is in the area. Common things like where drop-off or pick-up for rides or using public transportation or things in walking distance to do.

Loved the location and that there were 2 restaurants on site

The room was small, and check in was quick, but a hassle. They tried to double charge me for the room even though I paid in full before arriving and I had to correct them. Also, the $150 incidental fee was insane

It’s right between everything. Went for a concert and only had to walk a short distance to house of blues! Check in was easy and staff was nice. I didn’t pay for the ‘nicer’ view but the view we had wasn’t necessarily bad either.

Room is a little small. Not necessarily a dislike tho. It was just my husband and I so we were fine!

I like that the rooms were very clean and throughout the whole hotel. My room had a exceptional view. This was a great experience for my first time in Chicago. I will be staying here again

I didn't like that the valet guy tried to swipe my card twice and then had to reboot the whole system so the card reader to work

I requested a city view and that's exactly what i got, i will never get tired of that view. The hotel is very central to everything, restaurants, shops and the train station. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Kenneth at reception, he was a pleasure to deal with, so polite and professional, he's the sort of person you want greeting you on arrival. The Beatrix restaurant downstairs has superb food and offers room service. The room was immaculately clean with the most comfortable beds. This was my third time to stay at the aloft and i will definitely be back for a fourth.

I really don't have any negative comments or complaints. I would have liked more coffee, sugar etc in the room but that's just my preference.

Rooms were comfy. Well laid out.

Breakfast was slow esp given the nature of the stay so it was probably more my expectation than poor service as such. Internet required multiple logins per day which was frustrating. No cutlery or crokery was frustrating esp when ordering uber eats .. almost impossible.
