The room was big and well soundproof. Breakfast has great variety of food included healthy choices. Gym is small but well enough equiped. Pool. area is nice. Liked the fact its central and great architecture!

Rust in the bathtub. The kitchenette area is jjst a microwave and coffee machine. It would have been nice to have more.

Breakfast was delicious, and the on-site parking was convenient. I liked the idea of the pool - which is why I booked the property - but never actually wound up going to the pool. The suite was comfortable, the beds were nice, and a double bed room which I prebooked was actually available, which hasn't always been the case at all properties. The location was great, very close to downtown and the theater district.

The eggs were runny at breakfast and there was a constant race for seating during the breakfast hours, and a constant wait for elevators. While the on-site parking was super convenient, the charge seemed excessive. Check in (and check out, and a brief stop to the lobby convenience rack for forgotten toothpaste) took a long time as there was only one person working the front desk.

The rooms were just fantastic for a family of 4 adults. With 4 large bags, we needed a room where we could all stay together without stubbing our feet into the furniture. The proximity to the Magnificent Mile was a huge bonus. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and any questions I asked them. I absolutely loved it that you had a water cooler dispensing filtered water so I was not forced to buy water bottles as I see that as wasteful expense when I could just refill a large bottle from the waterspout. Very few hotels have this.

I think room service took far too long. We had to follow up quite a few times for extra towels and at times, no one would answer at the reception. But honestly it is not something I would lose sleep over. Breakfast was also decent but could have had more vegetarian options than just fried potatoes or hash brown.

We enjoyed our stay—perhaps even more so after the disappointing experience at the DoubleTree Hilton in Minneapolis. The room was comfortable, and our family was well accommodated. The staff was welcoming, and check-in was quick and smooth. Breakfast was decent, though not a highlight. The selection was limited, with no cheese and fewer assortments than typically expected. Additionally, the breakfast area was quite crowded in the mornings, making it difficult to find seating. Check-out was also quick, and we appreciated the luggage storage service and the availability of common areas during our waiting time before departure. We also appreciated the offering of happy hour drinks, even though we didn’t get a chance to enjoy them as we were out most of the time. Housekeeping was excellent—the room was cleaned daily, which we truly valued. The location was fantastic, with many great restaurants nearby.

The breakfast could be better. Additionally, the view from our room was poor, with limited access to fresh air and natural light.

The location of the hotel was great. We were in the heart of the city close to shopping malls, restaurants, and within walking distance to the Navy Pier and the 360° observation building. We enjoyed having a grocery store across the street and Starbucks nextdoor. Hector was instrumental with our safe departure by calling a taxi bus for us. We were a large group of six people so we needed a large vehicle to get to the train station. He also kept our luggage safe while we toured the city before leaving. The complimentary breakfast and reception hour with two free drinks and snacks were of great value. The mezzanine was beautiful and accessible 24 hours. The front desk responded to requests quickly and sent towels or assistance as needed.

We enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown River North. It is in a great location to go sight see and get to attractions in the city. The included breakfast was delicious and offered something for every appetite. The evening reception was also nice for after dinner drinks or for a quick pre-game before going out depending on how you spend your evenings. (Shout out to Lisa for keeping the evening snacks filled and the tables cleared). The pool was nice and warm even if a bit crowded at times (it's prime Spring Break). The shower in the room had great water pressure. And the front desk was very accommodating. My only issue would be the cost of valet parking at $79 per day but parking is a premium downtown. The valets themselves were very helpful and professional.

The hotel is in an amazing location right near the heart of downtown. The complimentary breakfast has a lot of great variety and plenty of space. The rooms are very spacious and clean. For the price point you can’t beat this deal.

We requested an early check in via messaging through the booking app and were told it would be a $25 extra charge to check in after noon. Responded to agree to this charge, however when I showed up less than 24 hours after that conversation the front desk person told me the charge would be $40 instead. When I said I was told $25 extra they said they probably increased the price without informing me.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent location, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to see. The atrium in the center is really nice with lots of sitting areas. Breakfast was great, they had almost everything to pick from, hot eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, fruits, oatmeal etc. and there were plenty of tables at the atrium. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had body wash, shampoo and conditioner wall pumps which was nice. The staff was friendly.

Just a couple of things to note, the cocktail line for the free drinks was way to long, not sure if it was just because it was the weekend. It would be more appealing and relaxing if they were able to have more than one bartender preparing the drinks so there wouldn't be such a long line. Also, it would have been nice to also have coffee, tea or hot chocolate available during the cocktail time since not everyone drinks alcohol. And lastly, the elevators were a bit over crowded during breakfast hours, it was impossible to get on one, so the tip is you have to take it up to go down or down to go up -otherwise you'll never get in.

Location, ample breakfast, free cocktails, comfy bed, living room plus bedroom, clean, friendly staff, Italian restaurant & Starbucks on site (handy in bad weather), Whole Foods & Trader Joe's within walking distance, likewise the subway and shops.

Pool was freezing, too cold to use. Parking is EXTORTIONATE! They required $600 security deposit up front. We stayed 6 days, only $125 refunded given the rest went to parking!
