Location fantastic. Staff make this hotel a real pleasure. The reception staff were amazing. So very helpful with a mistake on my booking.com reservation. However I will take this up with booking.com The staff at breakfast Javier and Fanny were top top class in their commitment to providing a quality service with limited resources. Breakfast was adequate but their hospitality was immeasurable.

Booking.com had made a mess of my reservation. Booked for 3 Adults with appropriate pricing. Booked with goodwill as a regular using of book.com. Transparency on my part as I booked 3 Adults with three breakfasts. Paying for 3 people. And wait for it...they allocate me a room with one bed. Laugh. Thanks to the hotel staff for sorting me out albeit with extra unavoidable charge as per their system.

The hotel is extremly well located in the center of downtown River North. Hotel offes valet service with parking at acceptable cost. Breakfast is good and staff at check-in extremly friendly. Happely surprised!

The rooms are only cleaned every second day!!! I heard this is a new trend in the US hotel industry, but it is crazy to pay over 200USD for a hotel which is not even getting cleaned daily! Of course this is a corporate decision and not the staff's fault, but they should rise their voices and make a positive example compared to othe US hotels with the same 2-day mentality.

My family and I went to Chicago one week ago. The Hotel is very beautiful. The staff are really awesome and the room clean! The position is good because is near to everything: lake, shops, restaurants, fast food, etc... But the most beautiful experience was the breakfast, not only because food and beverage were various and taste, instead because there were two fantastic person (Javier and Fannie) that have the capacity of trasform the breakfast's room in one of the most comfortable ambient in the world. They are kindless, very funny, plenty of carefull! What else? Fannie and Javier are the best!

Perfectly located for downtown Chicago and a great choice of lovely restaurants. Hotel had great facilities and spacious rooms. The breakfast staff, Fannie and Javier went out of their way every morning with their friendly greeting. They work so hard to give everybody a great experience. All the reception were always very friendly and helpful. Check was quick and easy and we were able to have our room even though we arrived early.

I didn't like the plastic and cardboard used at breakfast time

Bed were extremely comfortable. Room decoration is a little aged, and it lacked some closet space to hang clothes, but the space was big enough, the view was amazing. It got quite noisy in the weekend because of the evening and night traffic, but ear plugs were provided and worked well. Breakfast was good and people working in the caffetteria were super nice! Location is great, everything is walking distance and the neighbourhood is lively, with several options to eat/shop. All in all, it was a very nice stay at Farfields'!

Closet space, as already mentioned, and a water boiler in the room in order to make some tea, not only coffee, would be much appreciated.

Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly Mr Javier and Mrs Fanny at breakfast time... always smiling, constantly moving around restocking pans and baskets, picking up used items and keeping tables clean and ready. Also, Stephanie at the front desk helped these exhausted travelers with an easy check in. We truly appreciated the nice surprise of our room furnished with two queen beds rather than one, plus a sofa bed. Comfy beds, clean sheets plus all fresh sheets at mid stay. Slept like hibernating bears. Very good wifi, all 4 of us connected at the same time. Witnessed the 22nd commemoration of 9/11 by the Fire Dpt officers across the street from our room, very spiritual moment it truly was. Our family loved Chicago, what a spectacular city: the views, the beach, the advanced and unique arquitecture, the river, the attractions, the elegant Magnificent Mile, the museums and of course, the gastronomy... we really enjoyed it.

Not much really, our stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago was very pleasant.

Great location! We especially have fond memories of Fanny and Javier—they always entertained us during breakfast!

A good location in Downtown comes with the challenge of parking and unloading luggage, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Comfortable bed, spacious room, mini fridge in the room and microwave in the lobby, the breakfast was simple but tasty and good enough for someone like me that doesn’t eat too much, a good variety of teas, the staff was friendly, the location is good because it’s close to the Riverwalk, to metro stations and bus stops.

It’s right across the street from a fire station and although most of the week it was quiet, during the weekend you could often hear the sirens at night. And the view from my room was the alley between the next building and the hotel so my room was very dark.

Room was clean, very tidy, size was good. Location was excellent, very safe area with lots of restaurants nearby and next to Grand Station (red line). There were water filters available in the common areas so we could refill our water bottle. Breakfast was good, with warm food, bagels, porridge, cereal, fruits. Coffee available in the common areas and mini market next to the reception for snacks.

I missed having a safe inside my room. We had the option to leave in a safe at the reception, but I would have preferred to have it in my room.
