We stayed in the king room with kitchnett. It has ample space for two to be comfortable. Our stay was 7days. We used the kitchenett, there is pot, pan, and cooking utensils. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was satisfactory. Live music at the bar was quite excellent and should not be missed. Staffs were super helpful. The courtyard was a nice place to rest and appreciate a glass of wine with cheese at sun down.

The burner was old and dirty and emitted burn smell when turned on for use. Kitchen sink drains very slow. For the price per night we think this is a very good value even though the appliances were older. Walls were thin, bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Literally everything! The staff was great, it was clean, they had a bunch of games in the lobby you could take to your room to play and the bed was so comfy! Probably the best we have ever slept. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous because of the price, but we will definitely be back! It was great! We really want to experience the garden in the summer!

The only "complaint" would be the breakfast. there were very limited options. Nothing hot. We ended up going out to eat for breakfast, but that's because we wanted a hot breakfast. The options are toast, bagels, ooatmeal, yogurt and cereal. So, if you want a hot breakfast, plan on going out to eat. I'm not saying it was bad, just not what we wanted.

The staff were super nice, even when I had some personal issues and were very good to move me because someone was bothering me (not the fault of the hotel). Once they moved me, then I had a good, relaxing stay. The rooms are nice, cute and very adequate. There was no smoking. It was relatively quiet. I'm a return customer and I go there when I just need rest.

My first room was small and a little difficult due to a door that would lock me out all the time. I did move rooms and the second room was larger and better Lighting could be better. Breakfast was ok but could improve (it didn't bother me much though).

I knew the Cascades Inn about a decade ago, when I came for a conference. I was a bit worried about the term "motel" as it has negative connotations in other contexts, particularly Mexico. In short, The Cascades Inn is a family-friendly, renovated motel that is now a full-fledged hotel. A short 9 minute Lyft ride from the Sample Gates of Indiana University, it is far enough North to let you be away from the busy areas in the university area, but close enough that you can reach the campus by foot if need be (or if you want). Impeccably clean, superb bed, the wifi improved substantially after the first night. They clean the rooms every third day, which was fine for me. Shower temperature and pressure were fantastic. Comes with a small fridge, a microwave. I have stayed at The Cascades Inn several times and will continue to do so in the future.

I would like to say that I don't find anything poorly done in the Cascades Inn, but perhaps what I would appreciate would be an earlier breakfast (6:00am), and perhaps scrambled eggs (I know, that's actually American breakfast, but whatever). In fact it's a very nice, inexpensive hotel. But that does not detract from the place.

Charming! I’m a hotel snob, I like a safe, clean, comfortable home away from home so honestly avoid motel looking places. I say that really to drive home that Cascades is changing and older hotel into a vision. The rooms are CLEAN! The staff was WONDERFUL! I love books and board babes in the lobby, and the fountain patio. We were only a 15-20 min walk to campus too.

The toilets are definitely working- I saw it other reviews and can confirm they are loud to flush. Perhaps a bathroom fan and quieter flush will come in room renovation. Not a deal breaker.

Very comfortable and lovely place! We had stayed two days here for my son’s orientation event. We were lucky because the weather was perfect. I love the inner decoration of the hotel. And it’s very clean, quiet and nice. All flowers were blooming. A couple of local musicians contributed a wonderful performance one afternoon. Audience got free beer and other cold drinks donated by some kind of organization. It was an additional pleasure for me!

Nothing wrong about the hotel itself. It takes 8 minutes drive from here to IU, which is close enough. Well, I wish I could just walk to IU. Then It will be a 20 minutes walk, including cross some busy traffic road. That’s the only shortage of this location.

This property was built as a Holiday Inn but went independent quite some years ago. It has been reimagined as a buddhist inspired retreat lodging and has a super relaxed vibe. The courtyard has a beautiful fountain - that and the whole grounds are planted in wildflowers and herbs, so the air is lightly perfumed by botanicals whenever there is a breeze. Rooms are large and up to date with tech. Coffee is available in your room, and a breakfast bar is included in the price of the room (runs 7 to 10am). The location is convenient to downtown and the outskirts of the IU campus. This hotel is a great value. Highly recommended.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The woodland view with sitting areas along the edge of the woods, as well as the patio table and chairs outside the room framing the French Door entry was a beautiful surprise. The room appeared to have been newly renovated. It was nicely decorated, well laid out, and clean. This was hands down the most well thought out handicap access room I have ever stayed in! Kudos to the person who chose the shower enclosure with the built in seat! A very thoughtful choice and well received, as my husband had left his shower stool at home. As a CPAP user, the easily accessible outlets near the bed were very much appreciated.

The motel appeared to be in the process of repairing some structural problems. There were structural support poles holding up the cracked concrete landing of the second story stairway. Although it appeared to be safe and there was no debris around, it was worrisome. If not for this, I would have given you a 10.

The check in person was friendly and kind. The Garden walkway was a very pretty setting. Our room was clean, comfortable bed, Plenty of towels, Quiet, well lite inside and out, had a gorgeous view of a wooded area, ample parking, The breakfast was unique. Real glass plates, a nice variety of breads, yogurts, toppings, cereals and juice. A lovely room with REAL flowers on the tables. We were more than please and the price was very reasonable for the area.

They told us they were renovating and it seemed a little run down when we pulled in but once you know they are working on it you have no problem with the outside.

Cascadess Inn is fabulous. At check-in the staff was very nice and friendly and explained everything in detail. The room is large, clean and everything is tastefully and delicately appointed. It is very cozy and the bed is very comfortable. The interior courtyard is beautiful and very pleasant. I would suggest that in summer evenings or good weather they use it for concerts or shows. Breakfast was included in the price. It consisted of cereals, yogurts, juices, coffee and tea, toast.... Unbeatable value for money. I would always repeat in this accommodation. I loved my stay.

To say the least, it is located outside the city, although very close to the city center by car. The breakfast does not include hot food such as eggs, sausages.... Although the breakfast service is better than in other hotels I have stayed in which consisted of much more.
