The historic building was STUNNING! I really enjoyed the detail within it all like the paintings on the ceiling and the courtyard was a lovely space that was within the heart of the hotel but still allowed for some outside time. The room was pleasant and the shower had great spout pressure. When I booked, the area had seemed pretty central, but I wish it would have been more near the water, that is more of my issue, though. Really enjoyed the gated self park lot behind the building, I felt my vehicle was safe and it made loading/unloading luggage much easier.

For stating it is a "pet friendly" facility, I felt there wasn't a lot of consideration for pet travelers. When we arrived, there was not clear signage for parking and once we did park in the back of the building in the gated lot, there was only a woodchip area in the designated pet zone. I was hoping for some grass. We also had some bad luck and the phone in the room did not work so we were not able to order down for room service which is a small inconvenience and just resulted in doing Ubereats.

Lovely, historic building with a great location within the city (easy walk to the Old Market area). Our room was huge, had excellent air conditioning and was very clean and comfortable for sleeping. Nice bar in the lobby, albeit quite expensive.

It was expensive to stay and parking was an additional $29, with a parking lot adjacent to the hotel. Although the location of the parking was very convenient, you had to use a room key card to enter/exit the automated parking system - meaning you had to check-in first (not convenient) and if you checked out and turned in your room key card, you had to find assistance to exit (why not just have gate open for exiting like at most locations?). Also, the hotel apparently hosts a lot of weddings and other functions and it can be very crowded and noisy in the lobby area.

A hidden gem. This historical landmark grand dame of a lady was a last minute VERY welcome find. Not only was the establishment remarkably restored, we appreciated the inviting, clean, perfectly appointed rooms. There was a big baseball tournament that we were not anticipating and so stumbling upon Magnolia was a true blessing. Unlike other huge, modern, cookie cutter hotels Magnolia is a step back in time that offers true quiet comfort. The restaurant and bar off of the lobby was convenient AND wonderful. (Room service is offered as well). Will definitely be staying at the Magnolia Hotel every visit.

Beautiful hotel. The staff went above and beyond and we felt so spoiled! Alfred found out it was our anniversary and surprised us with champagne and chocolate tortes delivered to our room. The restaurant inside the hotel was fantastic and the bartender was so inviting and made excellent bloody marys. It was very clean and safe and touches of luxury were abundant throughout the property. We loved our time here and plan on returning next year!

My ONE complaint would be we did not receive housekeeping service in our 2 night stay and fresh towels and the trash emptied would have been nice, but it wasn't a huge deal for us.

The hotel is very nice, well kept and maintained. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They allow dogs with no restrictions and as mentioned above even with dogs the hotel was very nice, well kept and quiet. It was refreshing to stay someplace so nice and for a decent price in comparison to all the options out there today it’s hit or miss and this was just what we needed! Thank you staff at Magnolia for looking after us and the facilities so well. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend it. I wish more places had this standard of hospitality and welcoming to furry friends.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

It was beautiful and the courtyard was fantastic especially after dark when the string lights were on! The 8pm cookies were a delightful touch! The property was clean and smelled divine! Staff was very friendly and helpful!

No one told me I would need my key to get out of the gated parking lot when I checked out and turned my key in. People should be reminded of that, or come up with a way for people to get out of the gate without the key. Luckily someone let us out and I didn’t have to go all the way back in to get a key.

5 stars for hospitality! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Alfred was so welcoming and helpful. The classic decor was so unique and fun. And the restaurant was fantastic. I loved the music throughout the hotel and restaurant. It really added to the ambiance

The floor was dirty. It really needed a better vacuuming throughout the hotel main halls, elevator and my room. The carpet really needed cleaned. Although I am very picky about cleanliness & the dirty carpet bothered me, but i would still stay again.

Staff was pleasant. The facility was beautiful to the open walkway that led to the outside court yard. The beds were extremely comfortable. Also, the hotel restaurant had a great menu and the food was quite tasty.

It would have been nice to know the restaurant hours and about self parking and valet instead of having to initiate questions. Hair was found on some pillows and towels prior to use. A piece of furniture was stained and a few gnats were coming from the shower drain.

Very classy but not pretentious place ! Comfortable furniture, big room, great front desk staff! The bay window looking out into the courtyard was beautiful. A wedding party took their photos out there and it was lovely to see the happy couple from our room!

One thing that would’ve been nice to have is a little sink in the kitchenette area. There was a microwave, mini-fridge, and a coffee maker, but no water or sink. This is in the King Executive loft.

Traveling with our dog and they allowed for the dogs to stay at no additional fee. Absolutely love older buildings with historical significance, and this place was fixed up wonderfully. Both decorations, lighting, flooring, etc. Bonus part of the stay was we found a seafood restaurant in the area as well. That was excellent. Overall, the combination was fantastic.

The bathroom did not appear to have an electrical outlet, so drying hair had to be done in the room. Not a big deal at all
