I was very pleased with my room. You could tell the property is slightly dated and in need of some minor upgrades but the staff was amazing throughout my entire state. Except for the restaurant

Did not like the restaurant on site. Service was awful on Friday September 13th. Only two people working restaurant only a quarter full and they could not maintain the service. Also was given incorrect information by a server regarding the costs and inclusions of my meal. I had to get up and get my own take out containers because no one assisted me. People began to see themselves because there was no one at the hostess stand.

Location was great for walking to the Done to see a concert to avoid traffic which was insane . Check in and out was super easy , beds comfortable and Room was clean

Cleaning product smell enter g the room , very thin doors because you felt like people in the hall were standing in your room and they were not being loud . Parking was limited and I had to park on the street because they people not in hotel parking there ! That was biggest issue and when we called they did not seem concerned .. just that's" there will be parking later when we enforce it "

Great location and a great lobby and bar area, plenty of room to gather and areas to hang out. Room was adequate and comfortable. Comfortable bed and a good shower, plenty of parking in the parking lot.

Room was a little small and had no fridge. We had a leak all over the floor that came from the room next door and soaked all my sons cloths and bag. No free coffee in the lobby area, had to purchase from kiosk, which is not always opened.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and had a good sense of humor. The rooms were large and very clean as was the air in the room (i didnt need to use the air cleaner I bring with me to hotels). Bed was very comfortable! Location was a not far from anything and shuttle was always available. Parking was plentiful at hotel.

The only thing I didn't like were the negative reviews I read prior to stay.

Clean, close to jma dome. Clean room. Average bed. Pillows were comfortable but very small.

Thermostat did not work in room and bedside stand feel off the wall. Parking was a nightmare but there was good communication concerning this. Even with short comings we would definitely stay again. As I stated room was clean, bed was good and great location.

I stayed in the presidential Suite with my husband, my daughter, and our dog. I would have liked some more carpeting in the space. The only carpet was in the living room. It was very cold in there and the central heat didn’t work in the bedroom. We had to blast the heat and keep the bedroom door open. I think if pets are invited, customers should be able to rent dog bowls, or they should be in the suites at least. There was no rub in the bathroom but the bathroom was beautiful. Also, under the couch in living room was dirty. Extra sheets and blankets available upon request. The bed was not the most discreet either. I considered sleeping on the couch bc the springs would shout every time I twisted. The staff was absolutely amazing, and we were compensated for our trouble. I would recommend this hotel and I’m going back. The price is right and the location was perfect! I would just tell guests to call ahead and ask the staff to turn the heat up in the suite in the morning so it’s warm when you check in.

I didn’t like the cleanliness or the lack of heat.

The location was good close enough to walk everywhere.

It took a good 20 minutes before restaurants. Staff even noticed us. They walked past the table multiple times and then when we were finished and waiting for the bill, I actually had to go find them after waiting for a minutes and at no point. Did anybody offer us extra coffee or anything

It was in a great location, only 15 or 20 min away from everything I needed. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly. The bed was soooo comfortable! The hot water was really hot and the bathroom was really clean.

I wish the room had some carpeting for my dog because she has delicate hips and I had to lift her to help her up on the bed.

Front desk manager must be en pointe because they have the best, most professional front desk clerks I've experienced in a long time. Dave was most notable, warm and friendly but not fake at all, really welcoming and a pro. Bonus points for him keeping good humor during Xmas eve check ins. The room was a surprise since I saw the Genesee Grand when it was being decorated, now it's a bit plain with the S.U. colors. But it's nice regardless. Comfy beds and pillows, quiet, heat worked well (necessary in Syracuse winter!). The housekeeping staff is en pointe also, the room was spotless! Thankfully easy parking. Near to campus. Overall a win.

Well they can't do anything about the weather

The room was clean and the location was an easy walk onto campus and nearby restaurants. This is the perfect location to stay in if you are visiting the campus with a prospective student or if you have a student attending the University. I will definitely be visiting again with my family when my son attends in the fall

The room temperature was too hot but this was explained to us upon arrival. Temperature adjustment did take through the evening. Other people may complain about this but I did not find this unmanageable.
