It is great to see classic old hotels in New York State being brought back to glory. The old Hotel Syracuse, now the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, is a great example (along with hotels in Albany, Buffalo, and Utica), While this renaissance was the primary reason we loved the hotel, everything about out stay was fine. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We only used the restaurant for breakfast, but that was pleasant.

The downtown area was clean and well maintained, and appeared very safe. But the revival needs to continue to bring more life to the surrounding area.

Historic, beautiful, and great room. Loved the location. We were in town for a basketball game and were just a ten minute walk to dinner, it felt safe and easy to walk, and parking was also easy at the garage around the corner- 19$ a night for self parking. Huge room, we were on the 7th floor, and the staff who checked us in was really friendly and efficient! The breakfast the at the Eleven Waters was really, really good- the staff were wonderful, and we went with the buffet- it had all the options you could want and they offered us coffee to go. Would stay here again!

Everything was great!

Great location. Beautiful hotel. Convenient, friendly staff, nicely appointed rooms. The workout room was exceptional compared to nearly every other hotel we have ever stayed in-extremely large and a lot of variety. (They do need to get a couple more bar options for the cable machine, for lat pull downs for instance.)

No issues. We are not used to having to use valet parking and having the expense of that, but the guys were all very friendly and competent and it did make things really easy.

Very helpful and friendly staff who assisted me with queries about local transport and who responded promptly to minor issues; wonderful historical building - a unique heritage experience; very spacious room; fitness room.

I was disappointed that all room service food (including the only option for breakfast) is served in plastic containers with plastic knives, forks etc. It did not match the grand ambience of the hotel itself, and not good for ecological reasons.

The inside was beautiful! The lobby decor is timeless. Gatsby vibes!

The only thing I’d say was off was that one of the seats seemed to be broken. One seat didn’t have its top and you could see the cardboard inside of its shape🫣 it was an oval seat right before you get into the elevators! As well as the parking being $20 a day is a bit outrageous. But. Everything else is quite beautiful

historic hotel, nice atmosphere, well maintained, spacious room with couch, spacious bathroom, good location in downtown , close to food market and art museum, and walking distance to nice coffee/breakfast shops. we were attending a wedding there and it was very convenient. wedding hall was very pretty.

The shower head position is not convenient, you get all wet and cold before the water is of good temperature. the light in the room is low, not convenient to get ready, a little better in the bathroom but still not optimal. Coffee machine and water bottles in the closet and high to reach for certain people.

I liked the concept of stsying in a vintage hotel.

I didn't like check-in was 4pm. I didn't like that the room were very small even after a major renovation. I didn't like that it felt like an old prperty; I have stayed at older properties that were able maintain the charm of the old while not making the property feel dated. This hotel felt very dated.

The front office staff were very friendly and professional. Hannah from "Eleven"- Marriott restaurant was exceptional and very kind! Her service and interaction with guests was very commendable. Fernando was very thoughtful and was supportive during an incident that took place on my last night.

The fact that items were taken from my room. I left my jewelry and phone charger in a black bag in plain view. My mistake, however never thought I needed to worry about theft. I will say that Fernando was very professional and definitely was apologetic.

Gorgeous historical hotel with generously sized rooms that are well appointed and clean. Great buffet breakfast at a fair price for all that is offered. Excellent coffee. Friendly and very helpful staff across all roles. Enjoyed the Valet parking, too.

The distance to garage from hotel so that is why I prefer the Valet services.

Attended my friends wedding at the hotel and stayed for a week. Room was lovely, staff were fantastic and the bar downstairs also fantastic. Good location just a few minutes walk from downtown Syracuse
