Had requested 1 bed w: jacuzzi tub/ hot tub in room which is my preference but I didn’t expect to walk into a mini palace with extremely pleasant staff at such an affordable rate that was kind to my budget under circumstances. My spouse needed to see a specialist at UC DAVIS in the morning… this was the best solution to getting a good nights rest and getting to that appointment. After our evening Checkin went to fast food across street amazed it was still open. Surprised to see people in the restaurants. Upon return the place was still quiet with nobody around. Very peaceful. Couldn’t recommend any place higher AND CLEANLINESS WAS SOOO NICE NOT TO CLEAN A ROOM BEFORE SLEEPING IN IT!!! Beyond 5 stars

All was perfect. Even had night check in host!!! All the amenities were functional. The jets were clean and the tub absolutely amazing with just the perfect amount of towels - their lil shampoos had such a lovely orange scent - what wasn’t to like? Maybe I didn’t stay long enough to find out - doubt that would occur if everything is like this every rental then nothing to dislike at all!!!

Location! We walked out the door and had the walking trail that runs along restaurants, breweries, shops...super cool. I hadnt looked into it too much so that was a nice surprise. I even walked uptown to the Mint Museum.

There was a block-wide electricity blackout due to a car accident so hard to review objectively. We had no power or hot water the first morning. Breakfast the first morning was take out biscuits. Breakfast the second day was typical of hotel breakfast, not great. I asked the front desk for information about walking uptown to the museum and they were uninterested in helping and just said, "its far". It was not far and it was a nice walk. But that was just the two people that were working that morning.

Great location, very nice for a Holiday Inn (which 30 years ago were ok but this was very comparable to a nice hotel. ). Free breakfast and coffee.

The location was excellent except that S. Tryon St is also very busy at night and loud. I’m a light sleeper so this was not good for me but it didn’t affect my husband. Also, the tv turned on all night every 15 minutes to ask how we are enjoying our stay. Not so freaking well at that point. Had to have the front desk come and unplug it as we couldn’t reach it well enough and didn’t want the liability.

It was super clean and the bed was comfy, breakfast was yummy!

Everything was great

I was reacting to something in the room we were given and told the clerk. She (Sepora) moved us to another room and it worked out great. The hotel was close to restaurants so we could walk to a different one each night. The room was quiet and comfortable and the included breakfast was good.

My only complaint is there’s not enough lighting. The curtains only opened up about 18 inches. The room was pretty dark. Also, the parking was not free.

We ended up here after an exhausting stint with delayed and cancelled flights - and the room was amazing. Everything was super clean, the shower was spacious and we always love the full sized dove products that are stocked. The bed was incredibly comfortable and temp of the room was perfect. Very thankful for the cheerful check in staff at near midnight.

Best place to stay in downtown/Southend. Super nice Holiday Inn - great value for money. Comfy beds, clean facilities and great free breakfast. Always stay here when I come to CLT for work and pleasure.

Big room, comfortable bathroom, multiple electrical sockets and USB sockets. High speed free internet. Breakfast quite good as for USA typical conditions (but - of course - plastic knife and fork, paper plate...).

WiFi does not work at the exit main hotel door (which is needed when booking i.e. UBER and no internet plan on the mobile phone). There are no comfortable stairs close to the elevator. Strange.

Breakfast was good. Clean facility and tasty food.

When I checked in, after being stranded at the airport, the man gave me the wrong room. He then called my room after I had been there for 30 minutes and told me that he gave me the wrong room. Since it was the same price, he said that he would switch it around. When I went to check out, he had not changed it and it took the lady about 20 minutes to fix the problem. Good thing I wasn't running late.

All the members of staff were lovely and bent over backwards to help with anything. The room was clean, quiet and felt safe.

Overall, the breakfast was poor, and it isn’t a budget hotel so this should have been better. There was nothing vegan (apart from a banana or an apple) to eat for breakfast, and no non dairy milk.
