Excellent location in Charlotte as it is close to many activities and venues in town.

We were less than pleased with the room cleaning. The bathroom, and the toilet in particular, was not cleaned well. Excrement stuck to the interior of the toilet bowl because of poor design, the cleaners didn’t brush it away, and we had no brushes to do it ourselves. The shower enclosure was not cleaned. When we returned to our room after cleaning, our pillows were on top of tables and lamps, not on the bed. And a curtain was torn. Finally, I wish hotels with suites like Homewood would provide true drip coffee makers instead of the ersatz devices they equip the rooms with. We’d like to have decent coffee in the suite in the morning.

I loved your front desk staff, particularly Salma. She greatly assisted me during a time of need. I pushed a ticket for the Festival if Knights. Unfortunately, the venue did not allow for e-tickets, so I needed to print my ticket. Salam offered me the business center. I don’t know how to login to my Apple account remotely. I asked her to print my tickets for me. She volunteered and left me my ticket at the front desk before her shift ended. Salma is a gem. She provides a high level of customer service. I didn’t meet her until I checked out. Again, I needed a favor; I needed to leave my luggage with the front desk until my 6 pm Uber arrived. There were no luggage tags. Again, Salma volunteered to keep me luggage and assured me I could collect it. When I returned seven hours later, I was able to take my luggage and head to the airport. Would have preferred hot oatmeal in the morning instead of grits. Had to ask for black tape to cover the sensor in the bathroom, it kept light up the bedroom in the middle of the night and who wants bright lights going to the bathroom in the middle of the night? Night light would be so much better. Would like sheer curtains in addition to the blackout ones in the bedroom, like the living room has.

I had a great experience at this hotel! Everything was super clean, organized, and beautifully maintained. The hotel looks brand new — modern decor, well-kept common areas, and a fresh atmosphere throughout. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Everything worked perfectly, and you can tell the property is well-managed. The location was also excellent — close to everything we needed, in a safe and convenient area. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

I think that the breakfast was good. The hotel was a block away from Tryon St., where there are many bar and grills. The room was spacious.

There was not enough pillows on the beds. The mattress was too hard, and there was not enough linen in the bathroom for the number of guests in the room. I that you are charged for should be more clear. If I did not estimate what I might have to spend , any other unsuspecting person would be surprised at the bill.

What a great place to stay!!! This place was my home base for my stay in Charlotte and I don't think I've ever stayed in a better room. I'm going to start with the negatives, they were VERY few but they need to be stated. Negative: Location. Now this hotel is extremely walkable, just don't walk literally one block in the wrong direction (like I did). The blue line trolley system is only two blocks from the hotel, just watch yourself in those two blocks.....HOLY HELL! The whole of Charlotte seems to have a bit of a homeless problem (like most big cities do) but there was an aggression that was almost physical. This is in no way the hotel's fault, just something to think about. Negative: Security. With this place being in the aforementioned neighborhood I can understand why they'd have a security guard in the lobby. What I couldn't really figure out was what that security guard actually did. I watched him play on his phone while homeless people walked in and out, while people were fighting in the hallway, but the one place I DID see him active was at breakfast each day. He was literally the first person to eat each day. Having worked in hospitality, it's usually a bit taboo to eat with the guests, but it's definitely a bit much to eat BEFORE the guests do. Negative: Check in scam??? So I'm a Hilton Honors member, I didn't go through them this time because I found a much better deal on booking and didn't want the absolute headache of calling Hilton and asking them to price match. They front desk man who checked me in took it upon himself to enroll me in Hilton Honors (without my permission) and frakked up my existing account, so I had to call Hilton anyways *le sigh* Alright, that's all the negatives. Let's move on to the reason to stay. Positive: Location. Yeah, yeah I know what I said earlier but if you make a right instead of a left, it's a completely different world.

It’s within walking distance of restaurants, the Convention Center and numerous other venues.

The 200.00 fee that is refunded. I called after 2weeks and I did have a $90 Parking charge for the 2 days which was fine. I was told the $110 was refunded to my account but it has not been refunded. The only credits on that account are deposits I made. I plan to go to the bank associated with the account next week. It’s a lot of trouble to have to go through for $110 but that’s probably what a lot of people say.

Stayed there for the Hot Chocolate race. It was literally a 2 minute walk to the start line in 1st Ward Park!! Great location and hotel if you ever come down for that race and it starts in First Ward Park. May I also suggest if you're coming from out of town to choose to dine at Optimus Hall. It's about a 1 mile away. Charlotte is a great place!

I didn't like that you had to pay for valet when the parking garage is about 100 feet away. The rules of the neighborhood parking garage is ridiculous. Yes, it's cheaper to valet but please read the fine print of the parking garages. $35 a day ends at 4am and it will charge you another $35 after that.

Gorgeous view! We were on the 13th floor and the city lights were stunning from our room! Pretty in the daylight as well. Best hotel breakfast ever!! The breakfast room was beautiful as well, you didn’t feel like you were eating breakfast in a hotel. It was all windows and so beautiful. Loved our room. Very clean, newly updated. Secure, need your room key to use the elevator. Secure valet parking, gated with a code, we paid $45 for this, but the lot next door was $35 and wide open to the public. We drove a Q7 on our way from Buffalo to Orlando so it was packed full. Peace of mind knowing it was parked in a secure place. Location was excellent lots of great restaurants around. The restaurant in the hotel was great as well. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and some appetizers. Highly recommend!

It wasn’t easy to find the front door. This could’ve been made clear on the website or better signage would have been nice..

The breakfast was most Excellent so many choices and the staff was very kind. I have to say the breakfast was my favorite part of the hotel. I do also love the fact that we can come back and bring our fur baby. They even had treats at the front desk. The hotel was very clean you would never know they allowed animals. We went to the Hornets game and we were able to walk the couple of blocks to get there and that was very convenient.

Just a couple of things. In our room the dead bolt did not work, the light in the corner didn't work, and the phone didn't work so i had to use my cell phone to call front desk. Also it would be nice for them to deliver the extra washcloth & towels and not have to go to the front desk to pick them up. The only other thing would be to lower the daily cost of the valet parking.
