The room was amazing, my first time being in a hotel room!! The beds were super comfortable, lighting was very good. Tv is able to turn any direction so if you want to watch at the desk or somewhere else in the room you can! Has a small fridge to store food and drinks, phones to call front desk or other numbers. They also have a microwave in the room too, the employees are extremely nice and helpful! The only thing I think was under my expectations was the breakfast, it's not bad but I feel with the lack of bacon and a little under seasoned for my liking, but still good, but that's the only thing I'd change is the breakfast! Loved my first time in pittsburgh and a hotel room! Thank you for the excellent hospitality!

No curb appeal. It's a tall drab building. Plenty of parking. Close to 376. Inside is pleasantly surprising. Clean. Large indoor pool. Breakfast area large with ample seating and a decent array of breakfast foods to choose from, both hot and cold. The room was good enough size for one or two people. View left much to be desired, but it is PGH. Very clean and comfortable. Fridge, microwave. Stand up shower and no tub in the room I stayed in. There's Dove products or at least they're labeled that way in the shower and at the sink. Lock would stick on the door and a couple times I thought I was locked inside, but if you play with it enough, the door opens. The key card took a bunch of swipes to get into the room as well. Would stay again if in the PGH area. It's a decent price. I liked the bar/restaurant next door. It's convenient and gets a lot of the hotel and local traffic.

Difficult to maintain a warm temp in the room. I had the heat set at 75 or so and when I got back to my room both days, the temp was 61?

  18 hours ago Picking up our granddaughter from the University of Pittsburgh stayed at Holiday Express. Very clean room as well as the general areas. Breakfast was nice. Many items to pick from. The kitchen staff was friendly and very engaging. Making sure we were all happy. The pool and gym were top-notch. The hotel sits in the middle to anywhere you would like to go if you have a car.

. My only complaints were, when asking recommendations for places to go and see the young man behind the counter, told us the Mall. Sorry, but I can go to malls in my neck of the woods. And the room staff did not refill our coffee and cups . Yet we were pleasantly surprised our room was serviced considering since Covid room servicing had come to a near halt.

Free breakfast was great and there was a great selection. Room was very large and comfortable. Most staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Lack of shuttle or convenient way to get into downtown Pittsburgh. When we first arrived, there was no front desk staff for nearly 10 mins. There was 1 staff member walking around and when asked if they knew about the front desk, they just said that it wasn't there job. When the front desk staff member finally came back from outside he didnt mention anything or apologies for the wait and was not very friendly or personable. Gave us a bad first impression of hotel.

It was located in a good area close to the city.

I requested that our rooms be next to each other and when we got there the rooms were on the opposite ends of the hallway making it very inconvenient. If you have booked 2 rooms with a family why would you put them in opposite ends of a floor. I booked these rooms in advance of our trip. If you could not do that then let me know in advance so I could book with another hotel that could accommodate my request.

I traveled and stayed for the Drake Concert. The location was the closest to the Arena and A nice hotel for a reasonable price. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was exceptional and went above and beyond for their Guests. I had an issue with the heat in my room and with printing my boarding passes for my flight home. Both issues were handled quickly and resolved. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you ever visit the area or ever attend an event at the arena.

I am a Breakfast person. Most complimentary Breakfasts are pretty basic, but good for complimentary. I felt the breakfast was good, but their could have been more choices. Depending on what you wanted, there weren't many options.

Clean, modern facility in a convenient location. Room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Indoor swimming pool was large and clean with plenty of seating, fresh towels, and water at just the right temperature. Fitness room was clean, well equipped, and not crowded. The first morning, breakfast was good, with hot eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal with toppings, three types of cereal, baked goods, and hot coffee with a pitcher of half-and-half.

The second morning, breakfast was lacking, apparently due to a missed delivery of food after being wiped out the previous day as the hotel was full of guests in town for the baseball game, eclipse, etc. As the manager, I would have sent someone to a local grocery for enough supplies to ensure expectations of paying guests were met.

The location of the hotel to everything we were doing in the area It was perfect.

When we checked in the gentleman who was doing it tried to help us out I guess. He made us waste about 45 minutes looking for another room to accommodate us. We wound up going with my original room. I weighed all my options prior to booking the room. His suggestions weren't very helpful. I think he was trying to be helpful! It wound up being a huge waste of time I have to traveling for a very long time. In my opinion I think he should have offered a late checkout to compensate for the 45-minute delay. Telling us that we could possibly clock out around 12:00 or 1:00 would have felt like he understood how much of a waste of time his help was.

There was a lot of options for breakfast & all the food was served hot. The location of the hotel was great due to having restaurants near by & stores to shop at very close. The pool was clean & there was always towels accessible.

The room had some things from other hotel guests like the breakfast silverware & a dirty oven mit. Everything else was clean though. The owners spoke very little English so it made communication a little harder, however they did try & were nice. Each night we had to get new hotel room keys because ours kept getting deactivated for some odd reason. The floor we were on also was a little noisy past the quiet hour time but we made do.

The place was amazing. Ice maker works, pool works, staff was plentiful,,breakfast was amazing! This place hits all the right notes. I would stay here again!

The location is great if you drive, but if you walked, I don't believe it's accessible for everyone. The giant eagle is right down the block, but a lot of abandoned lots along the way. I wonder if the place is up and coming. Then Holiday Inn has great foresight because the location would be amazing if more development occurred.
