My son and I were attending a Pirates game at PNC Park. The Hilton Garden Inn is within walking distance of the stadium. We also attended a play at the Benedum Center... also within walking distance. The valet parking was directly next to the hotel. We never waited more than a few minutes for our vehicle. The restaurant attached to the hotel, Revel, was an excellent choice for all meals. The food was good, the staff friendly, and not overpriced. The room itself was clean and comfortable. It was a good experience and should we attend further games, I assume we will stay here again.

The only thing I can think of that sort of bothered me.. the televisions in the room do not permit guests to log into their streaming services. Many hotels have added this feature. Our room only had cable, which wasn't terrible, but I would have much preferred the option to watch my streaming services such as Netflix or Prime.

Friendly staff and location. They were able to accommodate my requests, and I so appreciate it.

I know it may be the current social climate, but when we initially arrived, we got off the elevator and were met with the strong odor of marijuana (like someone had been smoking it in their room/hallway). It wasn't pleasant, but they did do a great job of getting rid of the smell within a few hours. Our room was clean, for the most part, but could have used a little more in-depth cleaning. There were some loose hairs in the shower and on one of the towels. This will not change our attitude and we will gladly stay again, but i think it will help keep the property's reputation intact. We always have a GREAT time here.

The security was exceptional! The staff were kind and helped me with understanding how things worked even with so many questions they were still very patient. The restaurant staff connected with the hotel rocked and were super kind.

The toilet paper roll holder in the bathroom was not adhered to the wall properly. It looked like it had been pulled out of the wall halfway.

I loved the location, just steps away from Market Square. There is a CVS across the street that I could grab water and snacks from. The hotel and staff were great. The hotel, the staff, the restaurant, location was all good. There was plenty of places to eat within a few steps. The famous Primanti Brothers, City Works, Subway, Barcadia and a nice pizza place were just a few choices in Market Square. I really liked the options that were so close.

I only had one issue. Our flight was canceled last minute, so we had to stay an extra 2 days. I went to the front desk to ask if there were rooms, and he said there were. The rate through the hotel was $130 more PER NIGHT. It kind of made me feel taken advantage of. I went ahead and booked the 2 nights, but was able to cancel the 2nd night and stay at the Industrial around the corner for $125 less. I know I was in a bind, so I accepted the fee, but it seemed slimy.

My wife and I took a weekend trip to see Rod Stewart and Cheap Trick on Saturday. We decided to come up from Baltimore a day early and take in the Pirates/Cubs game as well on Friday night. We chose the Hilton Garden due to its proximity to the arena and PNC Park and the price compared to other hotels in the area. The location was perfect as we could walk to everything. There were plenty of restaurants around Market Square. Parking was easy and the hotel was very clean. The area was very safe for a downtown location. We would definitely stay again the next time we come to Pittsburgh.

A continental breakfast and a swimming pool would have been nice, but not a requirement.

Loved that this property was in an accessible area, with tons of restaurants and bars close by off Market Square. Easy walk to the Pirates, and PPG Paints arenas, which we came for a concert.

The cabinet to the mini-fridge opened one way and the fridge door opened the other way - and it was right up against the end of the bed. Made it hard to use! There was definitely room to move the fridge elsewhere in the room ..

Location was decent, parking too but expensive.

The heating system in the room was incredibly loud, sounded like a jet landing every time it went on. Coffee pods for the kuerig were cheap & tasteless, fake creamer too. Light bulbs dim or missing. Front desk could be better staffed and paper maps provided for downtown walking/travel. Not everyone enjoys a smartphone google map.

Great location. Hotel was nice & comfortable and most importantly-clean

Parking situation was very unclear. I was not told when I checked in that I needed to get my parking validated and handled through the hotel. I asked about it the morning after I checked in and the gentleman just told me I could use my credit card to go in and out and it would still be $30/day (wrong answer!). I was going in and out of the parking garage and ended up spending a lot more than I should have. It was charging me $20 or $30 every time. The manager tried to help at the end, but I still ended up overpaying and it was a bit frustrating. The other thing that was a bit frustrating was that my room was never made up during the four days that I was there. We never had a do not disturb sign on the door, and I just thought that was sort of strange for as much as we paid per night.

It was easy to get to and from the convention center, while staying here. I was surprised by the convenience of local restaurants within walking distance (not to mention the coffee shops within a 1 minute walk).

I wasn't aware of the festival going on at the same time which made the area and parking garage more crowded. Because of this, it also made the wait time for elevators a bit longer.

The hotel was clean and very elegantly decorated. The modern style was eye catching

Using the card in the elevator with other guests all trying to put their cards in with your room number was frustrating. The amount of money paid for the stay, should have included parking. Also, no breakfast. Coffee finally came out after asking. Short on help we found out because someone called in sick. I booked through a 3rd party site. I asked for a receipt at checkout and was told they could not give me one. I would need to get it from the company I set it up with.
