I came to Pittsburgh with my friend to attend the renowned Anthrocon—the largest convention of its kind. Courtyard Pittsburgh Downtown was just a 5-minute walk from the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, making it an ideal choice for our extended stay during the event. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and incredibly welcoming. My friend and I felt truly appreciated when we checked in and mentioned we were visiting as 'furries' and tourists. We were very happy with our room—it was spacious, spotless, and quiet, offering the perfect environment to relax after long, exciting days at the convention. The housekeeping team was attentive and kind, consistently keeping our room clean and comfortable. The Bistro on-site served a variety of nutritious breakfasts and delicious coffee. I appreciated the range of choices and thoroughly enjoyed every meal there.

I believe I may have been overcharged when booking this hotel through Booking.com. Next time, I'll compare rates on the official Courtyard by Marriott website.

Room was nice and big and clean with plenty of space to work from. Great location and easy walking distance to Market Square, North Shore, and the Strip District. Staff were all friendly and helpful and there’s quite a few decent bars on their doorstep.

Was there for 4 days and it didn’t get cleaned once (even after requesting at the front desk). To be fair, the do not disturb sign was on the first couple of mornings while I was working, but otherwise off. Wasn’t a major issue but could have done with the bins being emptied and the towel situation got a bit desperate towards the end of my stay.

The front desk staff are amazing. The housekeeping staff are very courteous. The rooms are very clean and spacious and well lit. The location is perfect if you have something to do downtown Pittsburgh. The strip with dozens of cool stores and cafes is just a 10 minute walk away and there are so many nice restaurants, along with the convention center and bendum center just next to the hotel. There is good coffee for money you can buy at the hotel bar.

When we came at night the hallways on the 4th floor smelled bad. the room smelled good though. Also, this is a busy hotel so if you are looking for somewhere calm, i am not sure i would recommend it. the 4th floor was noisy but we don't mind. The price per night can be a little cheaper as not justifiable for what you get without breakfast.

Check-in was quick and easy. The room was beautiful and cozy. My nice view of the courtyard was really lovely. I have disability and it got the better of me, and the staff were very understanding why we were late checking out and having an accident on the floor.

This is in no fault of the hotel or their staff. We just had a scare when we walked out and saw a shooting in broad daylight.

When I arrived to my initial room, I could not get the air conditioning to work. When I notified the front desk, an employee came back up with me and couldn’t get it to work either. Since there was plenty of vacant rooms, I was immediately moved to another room where everything was excellent.

The bed was a little hard, and the food prices at the bistro were a little steep for the portion.

It was a very nice hotel. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and courteous. Security was great, as in you needed a key card to go above the 1st level (lobby area).

My only complaint was that there was no a microwave in the room. I understand the liability though. It was just an inconvenience.

Staff was great. Everyone was nice. Downstairs was very comfortable, check in and out was easy.

Hotel was slightly dirty - stains on the hallway rugs. TV arms were a cool feature but they always folded back in so sort of a pain in the butt. Overall very small issue to deal with.

Everything was wonderful! Just wish coffee was available for a longer period of time in the hotel lobby. Although there are coffee makers in the room and a coffee shop nearby, having fresh brewed coffee would enhance the morning experience.

When we arrived the toilet paper roll was almost gone and no extra roll in the room. I contacted the front desk and they sent an employee to our room with a roll of toilet paper right away. I am sure this was just a minor overnight by the person you cleaned the room prior to our arrival.

The location. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable.

Valet parking is very expensive (40$ per day). When we asked for other options, they only offered the convention center. We found an opción for half the price one block from the hotel.

The staff are always very friendly and helpful!

One suggestion - I wish there were small rooms available for business needs. I was in Pittsburgh for an event, and the event changed to virtual at the last minute. Although the hotel staff was very accommodating with a late check-out, I still had another meeting at 3pm. I ended up sitting in a common area with a lot of background noise during a zoom meeting.
