Booked 6 rooms at the Fairmont Pittsburgh for my family attending a small intimate wedding in town. The stay confirmed my guess that the Fairmont has the best location/lobby setup of the downtown hotels because of its proximity to our dinner venue (also at the Triangle), a couple blocks walk to Market Square restaurants, and quick access to bridges to the major sports arenas. The lobby was bright, fresh and relatively new and it was great to have a Starbucks off the lobby. And the hotel bar on the 2nd floor was hopping on Saturday night!

The Starbucks didn't open until 7am on the Sunday we were to leave for the airport for an 9am flight. There was also the Pittsburgh marathon with many runner and their families up very early. I suspect they have more than handful of business travelers flying in and out at all hours on any given day so it would have been nice to have free coffee available (self serve) in the lobby 24/7 or outside of Starbucks' hours, like we've been accustomed to with Fairmonts overseas and other high end brands. Also, but for a couple of folks at Reception (we became fans of Anant and Zumrud), the lobby staff at this Fairmont were not as helpful (like when we asked to borrow a pair of scissors to finish packaging wedding favors overnight or were desperate for coffee =\)

It's so spacious and the location is soooo good, right out is the Market Square. The room can only see half of the river view, the other half is the skyscrapers. The kettle was not working when I was trying to get hot water. Sparkling water is 6d/bottle; The bathroom supplies are from Le Labo Rose 31, surprisingly fancy!! Big bathroom with a bathtub!!! The yoga and gym room is on the 3rd, bar is on the 2nd. I stayed here for my birthday with a friend who is visiting. I would come back for the spacious room!!!

The kettle was not working.

A premier location and stunning common areas and parking. Love the large bathroom and view from our room.

Our room looked a bit tired. The carpet was buckled and it had a stale smell when walking in. We had cocktails at the bar and breakfast in the attached restaurant. In both locations there was a sewage kind of smell for a brief period. Somewhat off putting when eating.

Rooms nicely appointed. Great location with easy walking distance to everything downtown. We had a large group with multiple rooms with some coming on different days and front desk handled it professionally and efficiently (on top of a busy weekend for the city). Valet was quick getting out cars when we had to go out for events. Bar was great as well as breakfast.

Zero complaints

The hotel was very good. Spacious room with a beautiful view. Very good hotel gym with a nice view and a lot of machines. They also had spa and wellness section. This hotel has a Starbucks downstairs so it was easy to get your morning going with a coffee. I love the LeLabo products they have in the bathroom.

There was no fridge and you need to pay for internet. Though it is free once you sign up for a hotel membership.

Location. Went to PNC PARK for concert. Lobby was gorgeous. Your staff was very friendly. I liked having direct access to parking garage and paying your ticket in lobby before you left. Felt very safe for my family. Thank you so much. The view was amazing just as I was promised when booking. If I'm ever in town again I will be back.

The only issue was your card reader wasn't working right. It kept declining our cards felt embarrassed. I called my bank when I got to room and they assured me it was on the motels end. Besides that a wonderful experience.

Great, friendly staff who helped with providing directions and suggestions to nearby restaurants and attractions. Great room, comfortable bed and pillows. Room service from fl2 restaurant was beyond great! A wonderful stay all-around. No complaints at all.

Best hotel in Pittsburgh

Not enough staff on hand on Friday night to check people in. Not the fault of the workers there. They were great. Management did not have enough employees for valet parking and guest check in. Saturday back to full staff and great service!

The aesthetics of the rooms aren't quite up to the standard of a modern hotel and modern bathrooms particularly. The space was good and the bedding:comfort was on par and appreciated.

It was a luxury hotel. The food was great, it was also beautifully decorated. The service was great, and the few hiccups we experienced were handled excellently by the staff (shoutout to Jax and Niki)!

Lack of racial diversity in clientele and lack of thorough cleaning of guest rooms in the the midst of a high traffic period.
