The STAFF!!! They were magnificent. Some friends and I were in town for 3 nights of Phish at the Coliseum. We had a big ol time and the staff at Fairfield Airport/Convention Center were out of this world. Always so helpful and probably one of the friendliest staff I have ever experienced. Always greeting us as we walked in or out. Always, "do you guys need anything?". At one point we were out at the pool with a bunch of other folks. One of the ladies from the front came out and got our attention. We thought she may be there to settle us down or something as were a rowdy but pleasant crowd. Oh no! She was there to ask us if we wanted popsicles! She said, with a giant smile on her face, "we want you guys to keep cool and hydrated." That was one of the many great experiences we had with the staff. On our way out on the last day, the lady at the front desk said, "make sure you guys come stay with us again the next time Phish plays. We loved having you!" Trust me! All of us will be back! Often times when we make these trips, the staff is never this hospitable. So KUDOS to all of them! They were perfect in every way!!

Nothing. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Amenities were excellent. Pool was clean and well maintained. And again, the staff was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended.

Every time my family comes to Charleston, this Fairfield Inn & Suites is our go-to spot—and for good reason. The staff here makes all the difference. From Lula in housekeeping, who still greets guests with the same radiant smile after all these years, to head chef James S. and the always-welcoming Melvina D.—these are the people who turn a good stay into an unforgettable one. The beds were ultra comfy, the breakfast waffles were absolutely worth waking up for, and the pool was clean and peaceful—perfect for unwinding. The shuttle service made getting to Amtrak seamless (even though it’s normally just for airport drop-off), and that extra care meant a lot. It’s also super convenient, being right across the street from a Tanger Outlet Mall and walking distance to a Super Walmart, and I liked the cashless setup for snacks and incidentals. Even the check-in process was clear and easy, with the $50 incidental policy explained upfront. If you're looking for a stay that’s smooth, simple, and filled with genuine hospitality, this is the one. They’ve truly mastered the art of making guests feel valued.

Not that the hotel had anything to do with this, but on the walk to Walmart I was very surprised to see that the little pond that housed many turtles, small fish, and even a few cranes had so much debris within. It was very sad to see that there is obviously no city service that maintains that area. All-in-all, though, the overall area is very nice!

The bed was comfortable and the room was good size.

I wasn't aware they charged $10 per day for parking. 2 of the 3 nights we had to park at a business next door and walk in the rain back to the hotel. At check out I complained and was not charged for 2 of the 3 days. You would think they would just comp all of it. The lady did down play our experience and say something like oh you had to park at our sister property like it was no big deal to have to walk in the rain. The Internet service was awful. All 3 nights we had kids being very loud above us running etc until the wee hours of the morning. After being woken up multiple times I called the front desk to see if they could ask the upstairs room to keep it down since we needed to be up early in the morning and the lady basically told me there was nothing she could do about it.

The rooms are clean, quiet, and in good condition overall. (Some minor repairs were necessary, but maintenance handled them promptly). The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. Fitness room and business center were small but standard.

It would be nice if the parking were free, but my real issue is with the WiFi. This was hands down the worst connection I've ever had in a hotel. It was nearly impossible to load anything other than the browser. If you don't have a data plan, you'll be spending a lot of time in the business center.

The room was clean. The a/c worked which was important since we were in South Carolina. Beds were comfortable. We only stayed one night.

The hotel was next to a homeless hotel. There is No Way we will ever stay there again unless they find another place for the homeless. We give to MANY charitable organizations and have a heart for the homelless. We don't want to worry about our car getting broken into or being panhandled when we are on vacation. The person checking us in was ok but not what I would call welcoming. Not professionally attired. The person who was supposed to set up breakfast never showed. We felt bad for the morning desk check in person and helped her set up since she was the only one there to do it. Breakfast was fine.

Close to airport for our 7am flight. Nice clean room.

Hotel advertised free airport shuttle. Could not find time shuttle ran. We needed to go to airport at 5am for a 7am flight. Shuttle begins to run at 7am. We were able to catch an Uber ride tho it would be helpful if shuttle began at 5am. Many airlines have early departures.

It's the best Hotel I have ever seen in SC till now, very clean rooms as same as what we seen, well equiped perfect breakfast, so friendly staff, excellent location in front of Tanger outlet, other shopping centers and service. No doubt I will come again with my Family, I highly recommend it to everyone.

We were here for a week, visiting family in Charleston. The woman that works at the front desk from *day shift, around 6/7 to 3/4 was so welcoming. She made us feel at home and enjoyed talking to her daily. Also the women who prepared the spread for the morning breakfast was also amazing. A joy to speak with regularly. The tub flour could use a cleaning every now and then and the bed could be more comfortable.

Breakfast was rushed and not put together well. Lots of people waiting and staff member was challenged to keep up. Coffee empty and sausage, eggs along with grits was empty at 9:05a. I only stay in Fairfields mthly as I travel for work, so I'm pretty clear on the Fairfield standards and what to expect.
