Our family has stayed in T1 for 4-5 years in a row. We can't find anything similar. We spend most of our time on the front screened porch. It has 2 rocking chairs to enjoy the ocean beach view and a large picnic table with a chandelier for all meals. There's a table inside too but we enjoy the outdoors with the ocean view.

This year we noticed the flood light constantly on from the building next door. It shines through the main bedroom all night/week.It's still one of my family's all time favorite vacation memory spots.

We were passing through VA Beach for a one night stay and I wanted to avoid the noise and bustle of the big hotels. I liked Cutty Sark because it was a small, quiet motel on the water with a balcony, ocean view, and had a pool. It was walkable to the beach, restaurants and sites. The room was very clean and spacious! We loved the vintage feel. The pool is small but was perfect for cooling down at the end of the day.

The queen size bed, although very soft, sank my husband and I to the middle. I ended up sleeping on the couch. This particular mattress would be best for one person or an snuggly young couple! Otherwise we loved the room and the location can’t be beat.

The room was cute and clean. We had a queen bed with a pullout couch. My adult daughter stayed in the pullout couch, it was a bit soft for her liking, but she still slept well. The location was very convenient and we had a great view of the ocean from our corner room. We bought breakfast food and used the refrigerator for our breakfast meals. There was a stove, microwave and a coffee maker. We did not use any of those appliances. The location is easy walking distance to the beach, dunkin donuts was across the street and parking was included for our car and easy to access.

Be prepared that the room is not sound proof from the people walking and driving outside. We live in a city so were very used to that type of noise. If road noises bother you, then either bring ear plugs or don't stay here. The noise did not bother us at all, but it is noticeable. We would definitely stay here again.

Mrs.Johnsons cottage was amazing! TONS of room and it was spotless. We loved it. The bathtub is deep to step into. Wasn't a problem for us but anyone with mobility issues, you have to step down in. We did see a few tiny ants in the bathroom one morning but it was immaculately clean. There was a LOT of glass items on the table and around the place so not great for small children to have these items out but we had all teenagers. Definitely will book here again!

I wanted to be near the ocean but didn’t want to pay the price of a major hotel chain just for a quick one night trip. Location was excellent! I was steps away from the water, literally. Room was definitely 60s vibes but was clean and comfortable. And, it’s just steps away from my favorite pancake house on the beach! It’s centrally located near all the beach stuff; food and things to do.

My only complaint was that I couldn’t get the cable to work on the tv. Too many remotes and steps. It’s 2023, it shouldn’t be that hard to watch tv. Bed was super bouncy so maybe an upgrade is needed there.

Awesome location north of Virginia Beach where it is quieter. For us it was perfect, quiet, near transportation, close enough to the busier part of the beach if you wanted to go. Nearby restaurants and a Dunkin' Donuts right around the corner. The place we rented had a full kitchen, which we used but walked for dinner and breakfast a couple times. We loved it. It was a charming rental and I plan on staying there again.

What is not to like.

I liked everything, great location, steps from the beach. Very nice 'old-time' atmosphere in the room, yet there is everything that one needs. The staff (I talked to two different members) both went extra mile for me - that was very appreciated!

I could not really figure out how to make the iron work in the room, but it got figured out in the end.

I have been going there for several years. Always an enjoyable stay. I recommend to anyone. Location is awesome across the street from the beach and a nice view of the beach from my room. Also it's an efficiency with everything you would need. I can cook there! There's even a pool behind the efficiency. . Free parking

It was close to the beach. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. They fixed my faucet that had an issue quickly.

It was a bit noisy, and you can hear the jets flying overhead, especially at night. If you were light sleeper, it might be a bit challenging to sleep due to the Jets flying overhead.

Staff was friendly. We were upgraded to an ocean view room. Love that there’s a fridge and stove. Location is perfect, close enough to walk to lots of things but far enough away for some peace when you want. Dunkin across the street was also a great perk!

Parking lot was tight for a big truck.
