The area was quiet. No road noise, no screaming kids. You could take a nice walk around the Vineyard. The staff was the best and so helpful about everything. The wine tasting vouchers were a nice surprise that we enjoyed and even had us bring some wine home with us.

We didn’t get to stay in the room that we had booked because when we checked in and went up to the room we found out that the ceiling was leaking in the bathroom and the bathroom floor was soaked. Looked like it had been leaking for a while and not one had done anything about it. If you stay here I would highly recommend you bring your own pillow, the pillows on the bed really need to be replaced. Also, if you like a firm bed you’ll love there beds but it just made my back hurt from how firm it was. Plus the room that we got relocated to the shower needed major updating/fixing, the shower head kept falling off while we were getting showers and hitting us in the head.

Charming old style building nestled in a winery. Just the definition of a 'getaway'. so relaxing and quiet. Perfect anniversary trip. Beds were so comfy too. I appreciate that breakfast had high quality options for a continental breakfast. Would love to visit again.

Some of the rooms I noticed had cracked tile on the bathroom floors that would move when walked on them. It would also be beneficial to have a mini fridges in the rooms so you feel like you can take any restaurant leftovers or drinks back to your hotel. Then maybe have a couple open microwaves in the kitchen area or something if you’d like to heat it up later.

Quiet spot in the vineyard not too far from Williamsburg. Excellent food at the tavern attached to the winery.

Everything at the hotel was great. We had a lot of trouble, though, contacting them by phone before arrival. On the Booking.com website we could not find a number for the hotel that answered us. We kept being transferred to an automated central booking line and we could never get through to a human. When we finally realized that the hotel is associated with the winery, we found the winery website where there was a number that worked for the hotel. Surely it should not be so difficult to call a hotel where we have a reservation!

Great breakfast! We checked in after a long day at Busch Gardens and the staff were so welcoming. When we needed extra assistance, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly (despite it being the end of a very long day for them as well)! The large tub in our suite was a wonderful experience after so much walking.

I would love to be able to visit the winery, but it is always closed by the time we get to the hotel (and doesn't open until after check-out time the next day). Shifting the hours to stay open later in the evening would be an excellent addition.

It’s beautiful and the location is stunning next to the vineyard. The pool is great and the rooms have a romantic feel. We really enjoyed the wine flight!

The breakfast was really bad. They even said that they were out of some stuff because they had a busy weekend (we stayed from Sunday to Monday), but that should not even be an excuse. There were biscuits, sausages and gravy, hard boiled eggs and some fruit that seemed to be cut the day before. They ran out of croissants and when we asked if they could get more the answer was “if you really want to”. It was supposed to be a European breakfast. As a European I can tell it was not. Highly recommend adding some healthier options like yoghurt, vegetables, cheese and meat options and bread.

Everything was absolutely incredible! If I had to pick one thing overall for me, I really enjoyed all of the interior design and attention to detail that went into all of the furniture and art. To be honest, I felt like I was inside of a museum the entire time! It was just so refreshing to see and experience something different. Everything around anywhere else sort of feels like the same everywhere you go. The wedmore is special. I loved everything about it. My only complaint would be that I was not able to purchase any of the amazing artifacts I had fallen in love with during my stay. Bravo people! 👏 Bravo!

We only ate there once, we decided to eat elsewhere our second morning. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, bagels, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, pastries, spinach quiche, and biscuits & gravy. Coffee, tea, and juices. There was an option to purchase espresso or latte. The room was quiet, and relaxing, there were no clocks in our room, the free wine flights at the winery was an added bonus!!! The free flight of wine for next door at the Williamsburg Winery was truly an appreciated bonus! There was a journal to leave comments, enjoyed reading other's entries. The accommodations are secluded, gorgeous, and well worth the drive. Everyone we met were very very nice, polite, and friendly. So much history on display Look forward to going back.

The location was very nice . Winery in the side , nice staff members. Easy to find , good parking .

The noise from people above . I wouldn’t recommend this place for people who sensitive to noise. You have to understand people coming there to drink wine and have a good time . We booked suite for 4 of us ( number 10 ) and people above us had a good time till 4 AM !!! There are no staff members would be available to resolve any issues from 10 PM to 6 AM. if you have any difficulties have to solve it on your own. Next day we were relocated to a different room ( 20, 21 ) great rooms ! However all the rooms need to be fixed , in every Roman you will find small or big imperfections , and I would say the rooms 89% clean , the cleaning stuff need to do a bit better . Splashes of the wine on the phone , splashes of something in the bathroom wall .

Location and grounds were beautiful as was the room. Pictures on booking.com did not do this place justice; it is much better than I expected, with beautiful grounds, a lovely driveway leading to the hotel, pictures of the rooms were not all that great or revealing. Soooo glad it was nicer than I expected and my girlfriend was really impressed. A great value for one night at $194 and the complimentary wine flights was the icing on the cake. We will be back!!

The room lighting was off. Someone with a good eye Would spot that in the second. For my room, number nine, change the lightbulbs to a 3000 K color Or if not bright enough to the maximum of a 4000 K And the room will warm right up. Also, the shower has a wand but nowhere to mount that wand so that you can take a shower comfortably, it’s perplexing how someone does not realize that. To be clear, you have to put the wand in its holder, which shoots straight out from the wall. Is impossible to take a shower by fasten the to the wall, you always have to hold your hand, or the water shoots straight out at you, not down and add an angle toward you like it should. You realistically need three hands or a partner properly shower. This is very easily fixed and it should be.

The property is rather unique, charming, on the vineyard, surrounded by old tall trees and lots of greenery. Made a welcome change to the sameness and monotony of chain hotels. The breakfast was adequate but the coffee was bad. Had to pay dearly for a cappuccino as a special order to wake up! The staff was pleasant and helpful.

The property could benefit from some work but the squeaking floors and faded tapestries add charm and period feel.
