Walking to the Smithsonian Museums was fairly easy to get to and not far. Bed was large and comfortable. Room was nicely furnished. Good quality furnishings and linens.
Front desk staff was not very welcoming. They did their job well but I didn't feel as though they liked their job. The restaurant had some delicious food and beverage options. Fairly expensive. I ordered the pork belly, on the recommendation from the waiter and it was 99% fat and hardly edible. I'm not one to return meals so I ate what I could and told the waiter my thoughts. There was no where else to relax or visit other than the bedroom or the restaurant. No outdoor patio or pool. That would have been a nice alternative. The shower was difficult because the partial door was not big enough to stop water from splashing on the bathroom floor which made it very slick. We are seeing a lot of these designs in bathrooms but the door just needed to be larger to prevent the excess spray.

The location was very convenient to all the sites we visted in Washington DC. Check in was easy and quick. All of our questions were answered. Check out likewise was great.
Would have appreciated a Business Center where we could have access to printers and scanners. Also, the Wifi connection didn't work for me and I had to visit the Front Desk and have a manager help with the log in. Took two days to get connected and the connection was not private. Restaurant prices for breakfast were too high and we visited cafes in the area.

The hotel and location is amazing. Perfect for our group. Love staying here.
I am very disappointed in the facility fees. I kind of understood the impact fee, but for what you pay for the room, there is nothing that warrants a facility fee and facility fee tax.

Location, clean comfortable room
Front desk check in staff was difficult to understand and took more than ten minutes to check in…we were the only ones checking in a the room was already paid in full.

The room was great - big, luxurious family room with two very comfortable queen size double beds. One day the rom hadn't been cleaned when we got back, but when I brought this to the attention of the people on reception they ensured it was cleaned by the time we got back from dinner. Great staff in the hotel
The restaurant was overpriced (unlike the hotel which was excellent value). We had breakfast the in the restaurant one morning, food was good when it arrived but service was slow and not responsive (which was striking for DC where most restaurant service is excellent). I think they just did not have enough staff serving -it was a Sunday morning. We ate elsewhere the rest of the time. There are lots of places to eat nearby and the people on reception will give you a list of them.

Location was just perfect. Walking distance to every major landmark and lots of excellent food options near by.
Overall it was pretty clean but there seemed to be dust everywhere all the time even after they “cleaned” the room.

The location, it is too close to the subway, the white house and the neighborhood is really pretty. The building is very nice and very classic
It's a has get a oldie view... the rugs are old for example. The bathroom was very old. They didn't put us coffee during our reservation and I ask for batteries for the tv control remote and in two days they didn't bring it to me.

The location is excellent, the staff were very accommodating and helpful, and the restaurant has a very nice Italian twist.
There is a weird system having nuts and snacks on an automated disk that charges the room if the snack is lifted. Having a 3 year old it is very easy to get charged and when I asked to completely remove the snacks as my wife is allergic and my daughter could easily get the snacks and disperse them in the room I was told it involved a $18 charge (which I did agree to) I understand the business side but precaution should be made for people who are allergic and i think it is a bit of an overkill from the hotels side.

The staff was exceptionally kind, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay. Having an on-site restaurant was incredibly convenient—and both the food and service were excellent. The location, right across from Franklin Park, was perfect for our needs. We parked in a nearby lot and easily walked to the National Mall and several museums. Getting to Nationals Park was also a breeze, with a quick 15–20 minute Uber or Lyft ride each way. The room was conformatable and clean.
The room had a slight musty smell at first, but thankfully I had my travel air purifier with me—it cleared it up in no time.

The hotel is clean, well-located in central DC within easy walking distance of several metro stops and fairly stylish. It's also a historical property (albeit one that has clearly been updated), which I tend to like.
Part of what makes the property special also makes it feel a bit modest, at least in comparison to other hotels in DC. While it is a genuinely historic hotel, it's also comparatively small, which means it lacks many of the amenities and general sense of gradeur that some of DC's other historical hotel exude. The property could probably up its game considerably on this front simply by putting more money into the lobby, which is basically the only public space there is; right now it's clean and stylish, but also fairly spartan. But if it did that, it would probably just result in the place getting more expensive for not much more in the way of amenities or "luxury." So maybe it's ultimately fine, just the way it is.
