This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was big and we even had a kitchen. The beds were excellent and we slept really well. Although the AC looked a bit dated it worked really well. The shower had an exceptionally good water pressure. Housekeeping was also spot on and we got three bottles of water every day. The National Mall is just a short walk away from the hotel and there were plenty of Ubers available at all times when we wanted to go a bit farther away. The hotel offers parking, but we decided to park at the nearby G street parking hall which was max $24 per day so we ended up paying $72 for three days of parking which seemed like a good deal. And all of this with a price that was significantly cheaper than the majority of other hotels in the city. We were so satisfied with everything that we actually extended one more night. One thing to note is that the hotel consists of two towers and has two lobbies so you can enter both via E street and F street.

Rooms on the south side - towards E st. are very noisy because of old windows and the ventilation from the subway, which is very loud and you can hear it 24/7 After complaining we’ve gotten room on the north side which was much better.

The room was comfortable, clean and very well appointed. The house staff were excellent making sure that everything in the room was perfect

The front desk support was mixedl. We were from out of town and when we asked for information about the location of ATM's or groceries or restaurants, some staff were extremely helpful, but others suggested we use our google! It would be very welcoming if all front desk staff were able and willing to help out of town travelers with information on local sites, restaurants, location of ATMs, etc etc.

It was boutique style, furnished with vintage furnishings. The staff was always very accommodating and helpful. There was a bus stop right across the street that made sight seeing easy. It is within walking distance of a Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and a CVS drug store. Very close to the George Washington University campus (walking distance). Also within walking distance of Vietnam War Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial (about half a mile).

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. We had a great stay.

I've stayed here on many occasions. Staff was amazing as usual. Location is perfect for visiting National mall. Very safe part of city with a good 24hour CVS next door for anything you need. Lobby and hallways very clean and well lit. The room was next to the elevator and you could never hear it running or people coming and going

This wasn't my first stay here so this was not typical of all my previous stays...No exhaust fan in bathroom so showering made the room very humid. AC barely kept room comfortable. Only one night-stand so we had to cram all phones and everything needing a charge to one side of bed.

WE liked that the rooms were large and very spacious. The kitchen was in a separate space and it was fully equipped. We had a store next door to buy things to keep while we stayed for couple day. The beds were comfortable and the staff really nice an accommadating.

everything the hotel had was great only I wish I knew across the street there is a large amount of homeless people sleeping in tents. They did not bother us or anyone. But if I was traveling alone I would have like to know. Again it did not affect our stay, but maybe someone else could find this useful.

This was my 7th time staying at State Plaza Hotel. The first time I selected State Plaza was a pure coincidence back in 2018, my first time visiting the DC area. Ever since I visited the DC area, State Plaza was my only choice. I fell in love with the size and convenience of the rooms which are truly a living space rather than a room. The equipped kitchen with a good size refrigerator, gas stove, cabinets, and sink gives the room its homely, warm feeling. The cleanliness of the rooms are excellent. All the hotel staff are very friendly and on task. Locationwise, it's very close to the National Mall and also close to the Arlington area, ideal for my purpose. I would without any reservation recommend State Plaza Hotel to anyone who is visiting the DC area.

My stay at the State Plaza Hotel was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was always attentive and eager to meet our needs with professionalism and kindness. Although the room’s system didn’t allow cooling below 70 degrees, we called the front desk due to the heat, and they quickly provided a fan, which was an efficient solution. The location is another highlight: just two blocks from the National Mall, right in the heart of Washington D.C., with nearby routes that make it easy to grab an Uber. Additionally, it’s only 15 minutes from Ronald Reagan Airport, which is very convenient for travelers. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it perfect for those who prefer to cook during their stay. I also appreciated how easy and smooth the check-in process was.

This is an ideal hotel for visiting Washington. At least three bus routes pass the hotel. Ten minutes from the Whitehouse. Twenty minutes from the Metro. The hotel is comfortable and very clean. The staff are friendly an efficient.

The breakfast could be more varied, only two cereals were offered ( cheerios and corn flakes). Be careful if you charge the bill to your room because a mistake was made and I was charged $67 for a meal which I did not receive. However on checking my bill and complaining the hotel reimbursed the money within the week. But please do not let this deter you from staying at this excellent hotel. Just be wary.

Good security, clean facilities, gym was great, and staff were nice. Room was well cleaned every day and filled with bottled water and keurig kcups. Generally quite happy with stay and the complaints are minor compared to the positives.

Location was surprisingly awkward. It was 10 minutes from the part of the national mall with only monuments, 10 minutes from the train station, and 10 minutes from the circulator bus. The only busses outside the hotel were a bit unreliable. Also there’s a homeless encampment right across one of the two buildings
