The hotel was really clean and tidy. Right in the center of the Old Quarter, which is the more touristy area. The staff is amazing as well. I checked in at around midnight and the overnight receptionist (Minh) was extremely helpful. He recommended me all of the local, non touristy stuff to try and even took me out for lunch the day after! I’ve never had staff this friendly before, anywhere!

My only gripe is that you only get one key card which you need for electricity in the room. Because of this, when you leave, the AC turns off and all of your devices will stop charging. I didn’t ask for a second card, but I am sure they would have given me one if I needed it. So not a big issue.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and super helpful. We arrived a lot earlier than the check-in time, and they quickly arranged our room for us. The room was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was good, there was lots of choice, and the roof bar had great views of Hanoi. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the old quarter, and we loved sitting outside watching the world pass by. We needed to stay an extra night, which they quickly arranged for us, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it as a base in Hanoi.

Truly a fantastic stay at Amira , the hotel is super clean , location is absolutely perfect east to walk around everywhere it’s also surprisingly quiet at night even in the weekend which is not easy in the busy old quarter. What made our stay fantastic it was the lovely staffs especially Lilly , she was amazing, super attentive and precise. I wish I had staff like this in my business!! Lilly helped us in advance to book taxis , excursions/activities all which were reasonably priced and a much better quality compared to what’s around. Amira hotel is the place to stay, don’t look for anything else! Well done everyone for running such a great hotel !!

We had a great stay at the Amira Hotel in Hanoi. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the Old Quarter, making it easy to explore the city on foot. From the beginning, communication was excellent. Lily, who handled our booking, was incredibly helpful and kind. She went above and beyond by giving us great local food recommendations, printing our boarding passes, organizing airport transfers, and more. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. All in all, a lovely experience. I’d definitely stay here again!

One thing to note: due to the structure of the building, some rooms don’t have windows. I was initially concerned about this because of my claustrophobia, but although the hotel was fully booked, Lily and the team found us a larger room to make sure I was comfortable — and it made a big difference.

Great Hotel in Great Location On arrival we were issued with rooms with no windows, which as a group thought we may struggle with. But in truth it was a blessing has the rooms were clean, decorated well with comfortable beds ok a little on the small side but absolutely an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi in which to sleep. All the staff we came across were polite, friendly and courteous. But has a group we’d like to give special praise to the doormen and the two reception staff Tracy and Lily. The two young ladies were exceptional from start to finish absolute superstars. Two of the nicest people I’ve come across in a very long time. Lily was arranging trips for the group 6 months in advance of our arrival. Always available to chat answer questions politely and quickly.

The staff were the best aspect of this hotel. If you are happy to use the hotel as a base only, the location is great. The staff were so helpful (Typhoon Wipha was happening during our stay), they took initiative, gave great recommendations and helped us book onward travel and even booked taxis for us as we didn’t have the app on our phones. They made it a really great experience. The hotel itself is nice enough - the lobby area probably the nicest area and a relaxing place to sit and prepare for the day ahead. The breakfast (continental style, self-serve) was good enough and considering the price of the stay, it was reasonable - the omelettes were very nice! Our room was clean (and the cleaners were lovely and attentive) and it was fine for a 2 night stay. As a base in Hanoi, a great spot. Lots of great eateries, bars, stalls on the streets in every direction around the hotel - including very good Banh Mi (25)!

I found out just from some of the reviews that we may not have a window - I think this might be quite common in that part of Hanoi where they have reused old buildings - we didn’t have any natural light in our room - but then again we were content to “get up and go” so it wasn’t a big problem - but it’s worth being specific with the request at the time of booking if they have availability.

very engaged and friendly staff - super location inmidst the Old Town of Hanoi - the really comfortable bed - the breakfast buffet choice - the willingness to help and accompany me and carry my luggage to the nearby airport transfer pickup point when the road to the hotel was blocked in order to make sure that I make it safely to the airport, even if I did not take up their offer to book the airport transfer with them.

I was not aware that my room had no window when I booked it and this came as a surprise but at my request the hotel management as a gesture agreed to substantially reduce the price of the room to level it with other hotel offers for rooms without window, a nice gesture I accepted as excuse. They promised that in future they will make sure to state in booking.com when rooms come without a window.

It was mine and my boyfriends first time in Vietnam (we’re a young couple travelling for a few months), and we were a bit nervous about booking accommodation as we found reviews to be very 50/50 on a lot of hotels. This hotel looked just as it did online, the location is so close to most of the popular things to see/do, the staff (especially Jack on the door) were friendly and eager to help. We had breakfast which did the job. We enjoyed the rooftop bar at night as somewhere to relax away from the busy streets.

The WiFi wasn’t great so we used data most of the time and we were woken up at early hours by loud families and cleaners. For the price we paid we don’t think this should prevent anyone from booking!

Great location on a busy, scenic intersection in Old Quarter. The hotel looks amazing, the suite costs a bit more but gives you a beautiful, spacious room with a nice balcony. The rooftop is a big plus too, the waiter went out of his way to prepare us a snack that was not on the menu when we were having drinks. The staff are attentive without being pushy and speak English very well. Would definitely come back here!

Only small things like the TV turning on by itself when you insert the room card, a bit of a moodkiller in such a nice room. The breakfast was okay, the last morning the coffee was cold unfortunately. Lastly the airports transfers are a bit pricy, better to book a Grab.
